I had a great stay at easyHotel Budapest Oktogon. The hotel was super clean, and the location was excellent. It’s very close to the train station and has easy access to the subway and tram, which made getting around Budapest really convenient. Most of the main attractions were also within walking distance. Perfect choice for a city trip — simple, comfortable, and very well connected.

Terrace is awesome, staff friendly. Vacak the cat is awesome too. This hostel is a great option to spend some time on the island, had a good night sleep and it was clean. Often though staff can be missing from the reception during the stated reception hours, and nearby is more of a party scene with few quality dining options. The 400ft Costa coffee capsules aren't exactly good either, so there is some space for improvement compared to some of the newer hostels in town.

The hostel is very new and very beautiful. The rooms are perfectly clean and bathroom/toilet/hot water running perfectly. Very nice and quite rich breakfast, although everyday the same, but still good enough. The hostel has a hidden garden with beautiful light and atmoshpere. The rooftop is very lovely, with amazing views of sunset and moonlight, intimate lighting and many seats available. The weekend was full of parties and DJ sets on the rooftop. The locaion very central and very accessible by Transport. very close to clubs and other places to hangout. Stuff is quite helpful and professional. I loved my stay here, neve rhad any single problem or disagreement. I totlaly recommend this place and will come back even myself.

The location is central, which is convenient. The hotel facilities are complete, with lockers, locks, and a private bathroom and shower. The only downside is that the shower is too small and shared between men and women, which compromises privacy. There's a kitchen where you can boil water and heat food, which is a plus.

Cons: Not so great initially - strong smell on the room, noise on the street but sorted out quickly. Thanks to prompt action by the management. In most of my stay, floor on the shared bathroom is always wet and no proper ventilation. Lockers are outside the bedrooms so it’s worth having a spare bag for some essential items that you need to keep next to you. Duvet slightly short for tall person. My roommate’s bed was creaking loudly even with simple movement. Pros: Near bus stop and metro station. Near to the popular thermal bath - Széchenyi, and tourist spots Heroes’ Square. Accommodating reception. Things to improve: Proper ventilation and floor rug in the bathroom. Long duvet, cleaner bedsheets and duvet cover and pillow. Overall: If you stay most of the time outside and it’s okay. Main gate always open, occupants got a key for main door but most of time it’s also open. I guess for the price, you get what you paid for.

This is a chain hotel with a consistent style, suitable for all ages. We were allowed to check in before 2 PM, which was a nice touch. Our room was on the top floor and the window could be adjusted for ventilation. There's a restaurant, and I saw a buffet in the evening. The front desk staff were very welcoming.

Great Spot for Travelers — Just Be Mindful of Dorm Life I stayed here during my trip and really loved the location — super central and easy to get around. The staff were welcoming and the place was clean, which I really appreciated after long days of exploring. The only downside was the shared dorm experience. One guest came back very late, turned on the lights, talked loudly on the phone, and unfortunately got sick in the bathroom. It made it a bit hard to get proper rest. Still, the hostel itself is great. If you’re a light sleeper or prefer quiet nights, a private room might be worth considering!

Very chaotic and confusing check-in process. Arrived before check-in and got registered, just needed to get my key at check-in time. So far so good. At check-in time I am directed to an iPad terminal to register with with my name and my booking number from the accommodation, not then one on the booking portal, which I've no clue which it is. After me struggling to look-up this number out of countless CRM-emails I received from the Hostel the friendly staff member, looked up my name in the guest list, went back to the receptionist desk to check my check-in amd got my key card to my room. Arrived in the room it didn't matched with the category and pictures I booked. Went back down to the reception, who fixed it. All this took a lot of time and not to mention all the Welcoming and Info-e-mails you receive from Maverick's at any occasion of the ”customer journey” process. To the management and marketing folks there: Keep your check-in process simple. Your visitors are offered to pre-check-in online or at an iPad terminal in the lobby, just to end up queuing again at the reception to identify yourself again, pay the tourist tax or get their key card. It's nonsense. Have a vending machine spitting out the keycard for those cases. Just keep the regular check-in process as anywhere else directly at the reception with showing your passport etc... Stop these insane amount of email at every step of the customer journey, no-one needs this ot also makes it difficult to find one's relevant booking information. Let's come to the positive part. Staff is friendly and helpful. My room was very nice, clean and comfortable, it was a good deal to. Good internet. The kitchen is great, well equipped and a nice place to connect with people. Free coffee and tea, also a water dispenser in the lobby - great! There are many free activities organized by the hostel, we had a wine tasting for free and it was nice to talk to other guest there. Location is central, where you'll find all you need, even mini marts open 24/7. Free locker before and after check-in.

@@travel_with_the_sunI had a great stay. The staff is very friendly and check-in is quick. Rooms & bathrooms are very clean. Housekeeping is doing a good job. The internet speed is very satisfying. I enjoy the kitchen, which offers plenty of space, well equipped and it even has an oven. I stayed there several times and like it very much. Location is also great, very central and you have all you need just nearby (supermarket, restaurants, snacks/fast-food...) There could be some more activities initiated by the hostel to get people connected. Like cooking, boardgame night, etc...There is a WhatsApp Group, but at the moment I joined the group there were no activities/ chats in the 5 days I've been there.

IIamYhanHad a nice stay. The location is perfect — right in the city center and accessible to almost everything. It’s also close to many tourist spots. The reception staff were nice and very helpful. One thing I didn’t like was the smell in the bathroom. I stayed in a room with 2 bunk beds and a private toilet inside, and when you entered, there was a noticeable smell. It was still manageable, though, and it really depends on the people you stay with since some guests don’t close the bathroom door. Overall, my experience was good. Not trying to sugarcoat it, but if I come back, I would definitely stay in this hostel again.

CCabbiehkI recently stayed here and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. This hostel strikes a perfect balance between functionality, cleanliness, and location. Location & Accessibility The location is a major highlight. It is exceptionally well-connected to the city’s transport network, with trams, metro lines, and buses all within easy reach. Getting around the city was seamless. Additionally, the surrounding area is vibrant and packed with dining options, especially if you are a fan of brunch spots. Facilities & Room Features The hostel is incredibly well-organized. One of the best features is the storage Big Lockers:There is more than enough space to securely store large suitcases, which is often a rarity in hostels. Cleanliness:The shared bathrooms were consistently clean. Amenities: I appreciated the inclusion of shower gel and the availability of hair dryers, making the stay much more comfortable They also provide ear plugs at the corridor to ensure a good sleep. . Food & Social Atmosphere There is an on-site bar that serves as a great social hub. They provide a solid breakfast to start your day and offer a good selection of beer in the evenings. It’s a convenient spot to relax without having to head back out after a long day of sightseeing. This hostel is definitely value for money.. If you're looking for an organized, clean, and perfectly situated base for your travels, I highly recommend it.

VVasiliki Nefeli LagoudakiI stayed at Avenue for a month. Overall a value for money option with smart design, ready-to-assist employees at a very nice central location where you can get the Budapest vibes in an affordable economically - and more sociable - way. It is very convenient also that it has box locks inside the bed cabin. It is particular useful for professionals with devices n paperwork so as not to stress over the security of your personal items. A very functional n esthetically pleasant design. Vasiliki-Nefeli Lagoudaki, architect engineer NTUA, MsC

PPangmishoumiWhen the check-in counter staff informed that the payment has not been made. Usually, because the long-term plan to travel first, the payment may not be remembered, but because this time it is almost three days before the departure, it is very definitely to pay directly online. I turned over the mailbox and opened the reservation confirmation form to the handsome guy at the counter to see the payment. The other party was very surprised because it showed different conditions with the computer, so I immediately called the supervisor to ask. At the same time, I also asked Trip.com how to deal with this situation on the online customer service. The customer service confirmed that I had indeed paid successfully and comforted me without worrying. The handsome guy at the counter also suggested that I store my luggage first and go to nearby attractions. I don’t want my delayed travel plan. ⋯ I put my luggage and turned out of the hotel. At the same time, the customer service also responded that the message has been processed. I immediately went back to the counter to confirm the status. ~ It turned out that the consumption tax in a similar city has not been paid. Five days 9. A few euros, I directly gave 10 euros to end this round! I love the small balcony of the room and I will take a panoramic view every day when I get up. Then the hotel without children should give six stars directly!

JJoe0412Did not sleep well here at all. There is no privacy in the room, it's not expensive or difficult to put up some sheets or curtains. Very poor effort. It's like sharing a room with your siblings all over again. Very thin walls too so the next door group kept us awake It's supposed to be quiet after 10pm but they all late check in, as a result I was woken by 2am check ins. The socket next to my bed didn't work, neither did the lamp. The pillow is dreadful. The bed is ok. Window didn't close fully and no curtains so sunrise woke me up. Excellent kitchen, comfortable lounge areas, 3 showers & 1 bathroom. All cleaned reasonably well. Check in was easy enough, she is very friendly. The building is absolutely beautiful. The entrance is next to PIZZA ME and a money exchange/kebab store. Supermarkets nearby. Metro & tram nearby. It is in an excellent location. It was cheap and actually good value, I just didn't sleep well If you like privacy and quiet then maybe give this one a swerve
