If you are looking for a unique experience, this is definitely the place to stay. One of the highlights of our trip to Pingyao was the host. They were incredibly kind, messaged us before we arrived in Pingyao, and even offered a free pickup service. They made sure we did not have to wait at the railway station. Their communication was always excellent, and they were very transparent with information. On our last day, the host asked for our train tickets so he could arrange the timing to drive us to the station, which was about a 20-minute ride away. Before we left, they even gave us homemade vinegar as a gift. It was such a lovely experience, and we felt so warmly welcomed throughout our stay. There are no words to describe how happy we were during our time here.

This guesthouse has a fantastic location, very close to the South Gate and Little South Gate. It's super convenient to walk back from the Little South Gate after watching the light show in the evening, especially since the main South Gate closes. It's also just a 10-15 minute walk to various attractions along the main road. The owner is incredibly welcoming and keeps the place spotless. She's so diligent; every morning for the three days I stayed, I'd see her busy cleaning. The restaurant she recommended was also great, and we even got a discount there!

I usually never leave a review, but I wanted to share that the people whom work here are very kind! I arrived in the middle of the night and they suggested to pick me up from the trainstation. Upon arrival I received several free items (toothbrush, flipflops, sleeping mask etc). There are clean towels that you can use, soap/shampoo is also present. The room was very clean and the public area is very big. I was travelling alone but I saw that there were many games and options to watch tv etc. When asking for help for which bus to take, they offered to being me to the nearest busstation by car. Overall, a very good experience. Thank you for the kindness and all the help!

The location is super close to the ancient city, you can basically bike to all the attractions you want to see there. The environment is great, and the auntie cleans the common areas spotlessly every day. She's also very enthusiastic and gives recommendations for nearby sights. The facilities are complete, and I especially loved having multiple shower stalls! The female dorm even has a dedicated vanity area, which is amazing. The only small issue was that the Wi-Fi on part of the second floor of the female dorm was a bit spotty. I originally booked for four nights, but I loved Datong so much that I extended my stay for another night to get some good rest. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong!

Everything perfect! The stay was amazing! The big shared area ís lovable. I booked a bed in the dormitory and at the end I was alone in a room of 2 with private bath. Probably due to low season. Anyway, bed was confy and clean. Bath perfect with soap and towels available. Totally recommended

The corridor is clean and tidy, there is no trace of mess, and there are some green plants, which adds a lot of vitality. The room I lived in surprised me even more. The space is spacious and bright, and the layout is very warm. The bed is moderately soft and hard, the quilt and pillows are super comfortable, sleeping on it is like trapped in the clouds, I sleep very well every night. The lighting in the room is also very good, the sun shines on the bed through the window during the day, and the mood becomes particularly comfortable. And the hygiene of the room is very good, all corners are spotless, and there is no old feeling of living for a long time. The bathroom is also very clean, the quality of toiletries is also good, and it is particularly safe to use. In addition to the environment, the boss's service has nothing to say. From the moment we arrived at the store, the boss greeted us warmly, helped with the luggage, and also introduced us to the hotel's facilities and surrounding attractions and gourmet restaurants in detail. During our stay, the boss always took the initiative to ask our needs, and any problems could be solved for us as soon as possible. One day we came back late, and the boss also prepared hot soup for us intimately, so that we felt the warmth of home during the tired journey. The room was spacious, equipped with a coffee table, sofa, fridge, and a kettle. There was even an electric stove and a range hood, so you could cook your own meals. Downstairs, there's a convenience store, and right outside, you'll find a bus stop on the main road. Across the street is a four-star hotel, and you can even see the ancient city walls right from your room window.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The environment and facilities were excellent and very clean. The owner and front desk staff were very welcoming. It was a particularly pleasant stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the room had great natural light in the morning. It was fantastic!

This stay was a truly delightful surprise! The hotel was spotless, the room was immaculate, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, demonstrating the exceptional housekeeping service. The hotel's location is quiet despite being in a busy area, with lush greenery outside the window and excellent soundproofing, allowing me to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient and quick. They even thoughtfully explained the hotel's facilities. What touched me most was that when I accidentally left my power bank behind during check-out, a staff member noticed and proactively contacted me, safely keeping it safe. Their honesty and professionalism are truly admirable. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again next time!
