2-Star Hotels in West-Flanders, Belgium

My bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about. It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat. It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses.

The hotel is a bit old, but it's clean and well-equipped. The room was small, and the outlets were inconveniently located near the floor. It's super quick to get to the station – just turn left after exiting! To get to Bruges city center, it's about a ten-minute walk. The Basilica of the Holy Blood was quite unique. I stumbled upon a market and found some really cheap food like grilled pork chops, chicken legs, and pork knuckles – I ate my fill! There's a Carrefour Express downstairs; things aren't particularly cheap, but they have 500ml cokes for €0.50, which is a good deal!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE STAFF, they were amazing and explained everything to us, I’d 100% go back and stay there, thank you for everything!

Good location and walking distance to the main attractions and local restaurants.  The only issue is the noise level from the hotel room.  Since there's no AC we have to keep the windows open but that means you can hear people walking and talking in the streets, along with the luggages.  If you want to sleep in, you'll be awaken by the church bells at 9 am.  The room is quite tiny, not much space around the bed so pack light and avoid big luggage if possible.  Bed is a bit on the soft side, the washroom is tiny.  The staff are very friendly and helpful, you can leave your luggages in the lobby after you checked out and return later to pick them up if you still want to wonder around the town.

Super friendly and helpful staff, very clean hotel. At that price I got a clean room with working central heating, located on the second floor without an elevator. The room had a small desk without enough lighting needed to work. Lights located in the central part of the ceiling and next to bed. The bathroom had soap and bath gel/shampoo. Photos below were taken on the day of my departure.

Very nice hotel perfectly based between Oostende and Brugge. Located on a lake side, very calm position and cheaper than others. Well recommended but the shower tray sealant in the bathroom could have been changed or bleached as it was full of black mould all over. Pity as shower was good and quite wide. Room small but its an ibis budget and it is enough space for 2 people. Comfy bed too

This stay was truly wonderful. The overall environment was clean and tidy, with well-maintained and fully equipped facilities. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax. The entire space had a warm and cozy atmosphere that felt just like home.

The hotel is located near the river bank, there is a free shuttle bus stop in Bruges in front of the door, located near the city government and the famous Bruges clock tower, the surrounding environment is very quiet! Hotel picks self-service check-in, Breakfast included! The room is small, the thick mattress is very comfortable, but the small bathroom space is a disadvantage!

Goede kamer, proper en goede tv. Spijtig dat er geen klein frigo’tje in de kamer aanwezig is en dat er geen haardroger in de badkamer is. De douche is wel heel glad en gevaarlijk om te vallen.  De service was heel goed, elke dag propere handdoeken en bed goed opgemaakt. We komen zeker nog eens terug, dank u wel ibis team

Just a practical hotel, cheap and on the exit route... no breakfast taken... only late arrived and for check-in was this no problem
