3-Star Hotels in Qinghai, China

Overall very nice stay with clean, warm rooms very conveniently located to Qinghai Lake. Only challenge was that there was a creaking noise / poor soundproofing in the room.

Great location and very good service from front door and the cleaner Warmly asked us for anything we need and try to fulfill our requirement at their best We requested water for drinking and hanger to hang our clothes after washing and dry with dryer and the hotel management helped us with it. The room is big enough for 5 pax and clean Breakfast provided for every day too.

The hotel is located directly opposite Nanshan Temple. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Upon check-in, the receptionist proactively provided children's slippers and toothbrushes. The hotel facilities are complete, parking is free and convenient, and the disposable kettles are hygienic. The hotel also has a robot. The breakfast has a wide variety of options and tastes great. Special praise to the receptionist for her excellent service; she was a great help to us!

For this price, this hotel is really good value. In other places, a hotel like this would probably cost over 200 yuan. The hotel is very clean, and all the disposable amenities are well-stocked, even a disposable razor which was a nice touch. When we checked out in the morning, the front desk lady even gave us two small gift bags. This trip was also very enjoyable!

I stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience. The citrus scent in the lobby was fresh and pleasant, and the room was clean and cozy, with a comfortable blend of orange and wood tones. The bedding was just the right firmness, and the toiletries had a lovely sweet orange scent. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even gave me tangerine candy. The free minibar with soft drinks was a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely choose Orange Hotel again next time!

The location is wonderful if you need the train, as it is literally just outside the train station, less than 10 minutes' walking from your train. We needed the day room to rest between the morning and evening trains, and it works well for us. However, there are some issues we did not like. 1. We booked and paid through Trip, but at the receipton (we checked in early, which was great!) the receiptionst requested 100 rmb, which he said was a deposit that must be paid on the spot, and will be refunded in the morning. This was suspicious to us because nothing of this sort was stated on Trip, and no other bookings in China we made through Trip ever required any deposits, even less so in cash. When I showed him the original booking and payment, and insisted that we are only taking the room for the day, he stopped insisting on the ”deposit.” 2. The room used to be very nice, indeed, and preserves some of that niceness still: the bed is wonderful, with crispy linen, multiple different pillows, and very clean. the bathroom is nicely decorated and contained basic amenities, and the storage space is wonderful and spacious. However, like in some other Chinese hotels we stayed, the indicators of maintenance are the shower and the carpeting. In this room, the bed is super clean, but the bathroom and carpeting are either poorly cleaned, or not at all. We found hair and even a wrapping in the shower, while the carpeting in the room, elevator, and corridors was not cleaned in a long time. And yet, there are some such nice touches in this room, like the living creeper placed in a small vase in the bathroom, or the very nice wardrobe. The room is currently missing a fridge (although there is space for it), and it has not AC, although the corridors are cooled well. Instead, there is a fan, which in the afternoon heat barely helped.

The room was clean and the environment was good, making for a comfortable stay. The room rate was not expensive. There's a bus terminal right next to the building, making public transport very convenient. It's about a 6-7 minute walk to the train station. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. This hotel is a great place to stay for both tourism and business trips.

We stayed another 2 nights during the May holidays. Surprisingly, Xining wasn't crowded except for the People's Park where plenty of tulips were in bloom. It was raining on 1 May, so we stayed in hotel. Hotel though old, was clean with standard amenities. Bathroom has a bath with shower curtains. No hooks for clothes in toilet/bathroom. Laundry room only has 1 washer, no dryer. We didn't use. Price was cheap. Breakfast was a bowl of mee, some veg and an egg at restaurant next door. We were given breakfast vouchers.

It was reassuringly clean, with every corner neatly arranged, free of dust and odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, incredibly relaxing, and the soundproofing was excellent, providing a quiet and restful night's sleep – the most restful night's sleep of the entire trip. The room facilities were all new, the hot water and air conditioning worked perfectly, and toiletries were provided. You could feel the hotel's attention to detail everywhere. When I needed anything, I contacted the front desk, and the staff responded promptly and patiently, without any sign of impatience. The overall environment is quiet and elegant, and the public areas are spotless. Staying here makes me feel incredibly safe, unlike some hotels that feel cold and impersonal. Instead, it feels like a comfortable temporary home. The price-performance ratio is truly exceptional. It's perfect for solo travelers, groups of friends, or families. This is the kind of hotel you'd want to return to and genuinely recommend. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time, and I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a hotel to everyone. A stay here is guaranteed to be a safe and comfortable experience!
