My husband and I stayed here from September 9 to 10 last for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a medical appointment down the road so it was a convenient location. Here are some of our observations where they could do better.
1. l use a cane with my disability, and there was no luggage trolly in the lobby when we arrived. I had to haul two heavy bags on one arm while using my cane with the other hand.
2. I checked to see that there was body wash for our evening and morning showers and the bottle was completely empty. The housekeeping staff hadn't refilled and we had to find someone to put a new bottle into the shower. It's a good thing I checked and didn't get a rude awakening in the morning.
3. The picture in the room looked as though something was thrown at it and went down the glass. There were two streaks and it was very disgusting.
Obviously, the cleaning had not been done properly in the room.
4. Nowhere on the website was there mention of a continental breakfast so we were quite surprised that there wouldn't be your typical eggs, bacon, sausage. Etc. It was very disappointing. We only found out because we got on the elevator, and there was an ad taped to the inside of the elevator. At the time of booking, all it said was free breakfast included.
5. The shower-head sprayed all over the ceiling when it was turned on, so we had to put a face cloth over it to contain the spray
6. The microwave glass tray did not rotate so when you put something in there, it didn't heat it up evenly. It actually burned the item.
7. Bathroom light fixtures were covered with caked on dust. I wrote my name in one of them.
It's Obvious that the housekeeping staff does not pay attention to cleaning - only does minimum.

Faith LobatonWe had a great stay at Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto! The hotel is conveniently located near the heart of downtown, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay.
The only small downside was the hotel parking, which was a little pricey at $40 per day. However, there are plenty of cheaper parking options nearby, so it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again!

The shared shower room is *too* shared, meaning there's nowhere to put your personal toiletries. A simple breakfast is provided in the morning, which is nice. I liked that the beds have curtains. It's great that shower towels are provided for free. There's a 24-hour convenience store right out front. However, there are homeless people around 24/7 next to it... It's unnerving when they all stare at me at once... I felt scared both day and night. Some homeless individuals stand by the convenience store door, holding it open, then demand money after opening it for you. I know how to open a door myself, and I never asked them to open it for me... I was sharing a room with someone from a country known for poor hygiene, and they had a strong, unpleasant body odor. It was truly agonizing. My request to switch rooms was not processed, apparently because there were no other rooms available.

This was our first time staying at Americana and we are very pleased with the experience. We drove 3 hours from northern Ontario and it was worth it! We went with another family for New Year's Eve and our children had such a wonderful time. We ordered room service, went to the waterpark several times, played in the arcade and our kids had so much fun. We are planning to come back next year!

The front desk staff are very friendly, the hotel facilities meet the requirements for tourism and leisure, and the location is excellent. There are shuttle buses at the door to various attractions in the Niagara Falls area, and it also provides direct access to the bus station connecting to downtown Toronto, making it an ideal choice for your travel itinerary.

Rachel 0626The room gets great natural light, almost like a guesthouse co-living setup. It's fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer, and even a kitchen. The bathroom also has shampoo and shower gel. The hosts are very responsive and helpful with any questions. The room itself is cozy and smells lovely. There are even entertainment options like board games! Downstairs, you'll find convenient fast-food places, Japanese restaurants, and an ice cream shop. A short walk away is a huge supermarket. Families should confirm with the host whether their room type requires a shared bathroom; they'll reply to messages on Trip.com. If a family of four books two rooms in one unit, it would be absolutely perfect. The balcony view is also beautiful.

Great location, but the room was a major bait-and-switch.
We booked a ”river view” room for our honeymoon, but the room we received was worlds apart from the promotional photos. Our view was 85% parking lot and 15% river—and at night, the river view was completely non-existent. I understand showcasing the ”best room” online, but it felt misleading. Additionally, the Jacuzzi was located in the bedroom rather than the bathroom as pictured, meaning we froze walking across the room to the shower to rinse off.
We had notified the hotel weeks prior about our late check-in and our honeymoon. When we approached the front desk about the room mismatch, the staff member was understanding and helpful, but offered an Applebee's breakfast voucher to compensate. When we refused, they told us ”it was not a big deal” to just accept it. While I know they were trying to help, that specific phrasing felt dismissive given the situation.
Pros:
> Location: Incredibly convenient, located right near the Falls Incline Railway.
>Service: Check-out was extremely fast and seamless.Amenities: General hotel amenities were okay.
Cons:
>Vouchers: The hotel dining vouchers are pretty underwhelming. We used one for Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse and it still came out to almost $200 CAD, which in my opinion, was not worth it.
>Room Reality: The layout and view were huge letdowns compared to what was advertised. The light switch for the bathroom in our was was also wonky -- If you move it wrong it doesn't turn on.
Overall, the location is great, but don't expect the rooms to look exactly like the photos on the listing.

AlanSpivackA great hotel in a prime location. The Radisson Blu is situated right on the harbor. It is surrounded by iconic locations, great restaurants and attractions. The CN tower and Roger Center are just a few minutes walk. You can walk along the harbor boardwalk or sit in a nice cafe and watch planes take off and land at the small island airport just across the water.
