Hotel near Perimeter of Haikou Airport/Mission Hill/East Coast,Haikou

Choosing the Meilan Airport Hotel as a transit stop was an excellent decision. The hotel is very close to both the terminal and the Meilan high-speed rail station, accessible within a 10-15 minute walk through an underground passage. I particularly loved how comfortable the bedding was, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and hygienic. The express checkout was a convenient feature for guests. Plus, the hotel's second floor connects directly to the outlet mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient.

The main reason I booked this hotel was for the 24-hour pickup and drop-off service to/from Meilan Airport/Meilan High-Speed Rail Station (one pickup, one drop-off). It was incredibly convenient, with the hotel's own vehicles handling both transfers. I also had three bowls of noodles at the restaurant next door, which were really cheap, only 40 yuan.

Staying at the Hilton Wenchang this time was an absolute delight! So much emotional value. Many of the hotel's family-friendly activities are free, and childcare isn't expensive. Our butler, Lulu, was incredibly responsive to all our requests. Although the rocket launch we were hoping to see was canceled, we still had a fantastic time overall. This is definitely the top hotel for family trips to Wenchang. **Value for money:** Better than Sanya. **Recommendation:** Fu Ji Wenchang Chicken in Longlou Town. A must-try! **Downsides:** Qishui Bay Beach is public and quite commercialized, with some litter. **Small details:** Surprisingly, the plates used in the breakfast restaurant and executive lounge were plastic, which felt a bit cheap. There are a few minor details in the room that could be improved, like ensuring every window is sparkling clean.

Service: The front desk was excellent, even upgrading me directly to a duplex suite. There are a lot of Russians at this hotel, so I felt like the foreigner! It was like receiving VIP treatment. Plus, perhaps because of the Russian clientele, breakfast runs until noon, which is fantastic for late risers and vacationers – a proper brunch situation! Of course, with such late breakfast hours, the spread isn't overly extensive, more like a good 4-star plus standard. Cleanliness: The suite's cleanliness was decent. The hotel provided mosquito coils and repellent. I was confused about it during the day, but I understood why at night. Ambiance: It's an older hotel, hard to rate, but the value for money is very high. Facilities: Hard to evaluate. On one hand, it’s surprisingly well-equipped with a full-sized double bathtub, two bathrooms in the duplex suite, twin beds, and good soundproofing. On the other hand, it has that dated feel, and the projector screen for the attic projector was already worn out. But, credit where credit is due, the idea of a projector in the attic is quite clever. The gym was under maintenance. As for the pool, you need to be brave and unbothered by the Russians – if I'm not awkward, they are!

Overall, the style is nice, but the sofa and carpet were a bit dirty with some stains. The kids' toiletries were just so-so. They provided disposable tub liners for bathing, which was good. We were supposed to see the fireworks show, but it was postponed, and they extended our room stay, which was great. They also arranged a room with a view of the fireworks. The dinner buffet was decent, offering all the Hainanese specialties, seafood, and sashimi. We won a first-prize free breakfast, but our room already included breakfast, so it went to waste. We haven't been to the complimentary amusement park yet, but we might check it out. I heard it's usually empty and a bit run-down. The staff were very good though.

Fantastic experience, this hotel is truly commendable! The service was incredibly thoughtful. I arrived late at night due to catching a train, and to my pleasant surprise, the hotel offered a late-night snack, which was a real comfort. The breakfast the next morning was also very rich and satisfying. While the hotel facilities were standard, the attentive, comprehensive, and warm service truly stood out! It was the best hotel I stayed at during this trip!

Facilities: This five-star hotel boasts comprehensive and luxurious facilities. The large balcony with a bathtub, lounge chair, and table is a thoughtful touch. The linens are of excellent quality and very comfortable. However, the toiletries could use an upgrade. The breakfast buffet is rich, varied, and delicious, featuring Hainanese specialties. Dishes and drinks are replenished promptly, which is a big plus! 👍 Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy! 👍 Environment: Both the interior and exterior environments are excellent! It really has a holiday vibe. The hotel offers very convenient and close access to the beach and seawall, and it's clean and not crowded. Service: The front desk and housekeeping staff are well-trained. They actively greet guests and respond to guest requests promptly and proactively. A huge thumbs up! 👍

This hotel is perfectly located! Just a few steps downstairs, you'll find a lively food street, a supermarket, and even a McDonald's. In the evening, it's a short walk to see the light show or visit the wedding manor. Everything you need for eating, shopping, and entertainment is right here, no need to venture far at all.

On my road trip around Hainan, I stopped in Wenchang and chose the Park Plaza – definitely the right decision! The hotel is quite new, only two years old, and boasts a high level of smart technology, which is still rare to find in Wenchang. The room was clean and bright, with a well-thought-out layout and all the necessary amenities. Its central location in the city makes it convenient to get around, especially with so many historical sites in Wenchang, staying downtown was a good choice. The front desk service was incredibly enthusiastic; they proactively contacted me a day in advance and then called on the day of check-in to confirm details, which was very thoughtful. A special mention goes to the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious, refined, and perfectly suited my taste. The buffet stations were beautifully arranged, and the chefs frequently came out to check on guests and ask about their dining experience. Overall, a fantastic stay!

The room isn't huge, but the layout is really creative. There's a small loft with a tatami mat, which could easily sleep two more people – it's a really fun touch and the kids absolutely loved it. We didn't land until 11 PM, and the hotel offers a real-time airport pickup service. It was a pretty spacious minivan, though we did have to wait for other passengers. The driver was working hard, driving and coordinating pickups all by himself. The hotel design is quite fresh and minimalist. The lobby has a lot of super comfortable seating and tons of books; it would be lovely to spend some time reading there. There's also a small, pretty garden. For breakfast, besides the buffet items, you can also get freshly cooked noodles. Overall, it's pretty good and offers excellent value for money.

TTeobisataI stayed at Yalong Bay Earthly Paradise Birds Nest Resort in Sanya. The resort is marketed and priced as a luxury property. While the location, room quality, and cleanliness were satisfactory, the service level was severely below what is acceptable for a hotel in this category. This was not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern of operational inefficiency and lack of professionalism. Service Quality and Staff Preparedness Throughout the stay, many staff members appeared very young and inexperienced. While this is not inherently negative, the lack of visible supervision, structured coordination, and professional training was evident. This may partially explain the repeated service failures, but it does not justify them — especially at this price point. A luxury resort must ensure proper training and management oversight. Dinner Experience The restaurant had very few guests, yet the staff forgot to provide basic cutlery (forks and chopsticks). No one monitored the tables, and water was not refilled unless specifically requested. Even fundamental hospitality standards were not met. Breakfast Management Breakfast operations were disorganized. There was a waiting list based on arrival order, yet guests who arrived after us were allowed to enter before us. We were traveling with a small child, which made the delay particularly uncomfortable. As compensation, staff promised to send fruit to our room. The fruit never arrived. Offering apologies without follow-through demonstrates poor internal coordination and lack of accountability. Checkout and Transportation Failures On departure day, we had to request luggage assistance three times before receiving support. We then waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to reception while several buses passed without stopping for us. During this time, we called reception three times without any effective resolution. Because of this disorganization and delay at checkout, I was forced to postpone a lunch meeting in Sanya with a very important guest of mine who was waiting for me. This was a significant professional commitment. A luxury resort’s inefficiency directly impacting a guest’s business obligations is unacceptable. Communication and Safety Concerns No staff members spoke English. For a resort charging international luxury rates, the absence of English-speaking personnel is a serious limitation for foreign guests. Additionally, there was no visible safety guard near the swimming pools, which raises concerns, especially for families with children. Hotel Environment The hotel’s reserved areas were crowded with external tourists mixed among hotel guests, resulting in noise, confusion, and a complete lack of exclusivity. The atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing. The resort does not appear structured to accommodate international travelers seeking privacy and refined service standards. Overall Assessment I have stayed in numerous high-end resorts worldwide where service is proactive, coordinated, and client-focused. At this property, service was consistently inadequate and far below the level expected for the rates charged. Summary: Location: good Room: good Cleanliness: good Service: unacceptable For a resort positioned as luxury, this level of service is indefensible. One of the most disappointing high-end hospitality experiences I have experienced.

AAnonymous UserMy wife and I chose the Yalong Bay Welcome Hotel for our honeymoon in Sanya, and it was absolutely the right decision! The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and an amazing pool, and the underwater restaurant was incredibly romantic and perfect for photos. Gina from Guest Services was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. She proactively addressed our honeymoon needs, responded quickly, and provided meticulous service, always surprising us with lovely touches. She made our honeymoon extra warm and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

FFengguncaoshalaThis hotel is quite large, boasting its own forest and beach. The forest connects to another Wanda-owned hotel next door, so you can explore both to experience different styles. The swimming pools are also shared, but this hotel's pool has a bubble machine, which is a bigger hit with kids! 👏 The rooms are very spacious and clean; however, the doors are quite thin, so you can hear children's noise from the hallway. Breakfast is plentiful, and the restaurant environment is excellent, serving until 11 AM. The hotel lobby offers complimentary Qingbuliang (a sweet dessert soup), which tastes great! 👍 PS: When visiting Sanya, always ask the hotel front desk what value-added services they provide. Many hotels offer free shuttle buses to various attractions and duty-free shops.

GGuest UserHoliday with a 2.5-year-old. Initially, I planned to book the Grand Hyatt or The Sanya EDITION due to negative online reviews for other hotels. However, after a busy work period, I found the Grand Hyatt was suddenly fully booked, so I switched to the InterContinental at the last minute. It turned out to be a really pleasant surprise! Coming from The Sanya EDITION (which is also very good and excels in many aspects for families), I felt its 3000-yuan-a-night price wasn't quite justified, and the constant drafts were genuinely hard to tolerate. The EDITION is better suited for young couples; it's not ideal for very young children. The kids' club also had strong drafts, making me constantly worry about my child catching a cold. Every time we waited for the elevator, we had to huddle in a corner, praying for it to arrive quickly. 😂 The InterContinental, perhaps due to its orientation, has hallways facing the duty-free shop and enclosed, draft-free elevator areas. 1. **InterContinental's large lawn** is fantastic and perfect for children to run around. 2. **The beach is also great:** adults can relax on loungers while kids play in the sand. Finally, parents of young children can momentarily unwind their tense nerves. 3. **InterContinental staff** are all very friendly (though the evening staff at the Tianjin restaurant seemed a bit new). 4. **Convenient for food delivery:** The duty-free shop opposite offers many choices for food and drinks, and a new direct passage to the duty-free shop has opened. **Family-related:** 1. **Dining:** We ate two meals at China Red. The food was good, they offer kids' meals, and there were suitable dishes for children on the a la carte menu. Most importantly, while eating, kids could play in the courtyard and watch fish, allowing one parent to rotate and dine comfortably. The Tianjin Hall on the first floor was decent; the chicken fried rice and pasta kids' meals were also quite good. You can also watch fish while eating there, which facilitates rotating meal times. 2. **Room:** The room type was very spacious. The bathtub on the balcony was a major highlight, perfect for young children to play in the water while adults could relax in the room. 3. **Activities:** Our child was too young for most activities, but the indoor kids' club was quite comprehensive. The small train, bicycles, watching fish, and playing in the sand on the beach (the hotel provides sand toys) were more than enough to fill a 2.5-year-old's day.

LLuoliyue92I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya for 4 nights with my parents and child, and everyone absolutely loved it! This hotel is definitely a hidden gem for a family vacation. 📍 **Excellent Location:** It's super close to the beach, and some rooms even offer direct sea views. It's only a 10-minute drive to the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, which is incredibly convenient for those who love to shop. Wuzhizhou Island pier is also not far, making it easy to hail a taxi. 🛏️ **Room Experience:** Since I was traveling with my parents and child, I opted for the Horizon Club. The Horizon Club offers access to an executive lounge with not only breakfast but also afternoon tea and dinner, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the balcony offered stunning sea views. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with children's toiletries and a children's step stool. There's also a sofa bed in the room, which you can ask the butler to set up in advance – perfect for a family of four. 🍽️ **Satisfying Dining:** The main restaurant's breakfast spread was incredibly rich with a huge variety of options, including freshly squeezed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. To my surprise, there was even a dedicated kids' area! It offered not only dishes suitable for children like wontons, congee, pasta, steamed buns, and fried snacks, but also finely cut fruits and vegetables, showing great consideration for little ones. My child absolutely loved it. The Horizon Club executive lounge was also fantastic. Besides afternoon tea, they have an evening happy hour with different hot dishes each day. They also offered non-spicy vegetable and meat dishes, as well as fried noodles and rice, suitable for children. Everything tasted great. 🎪 **Abundant Children's Activities:** There are tons of parent-child activities every day, along with unlimited free rides on the mini-train. We participated in a dragon fruit sushi-making class, which was a wonderful experience, and my child had an absolute blast. The hotel also has an adventure zone, a petting zoo, and you can even ride ponies and ostriches, which the kids really enjoyed. The water park is also large and clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly when we visited, so we didn't go in, but it would be perfect for warmer weather. 💫 **Five-Star Service:** The hotel service was absolutely superb. Romy checked us in, and she was incredibly kind. She helped us resolve a breakfast issue and personally escorted us to the shuttle bus stop after check-in. Our luggage was also delivered directly to our room by a dedicated staff member – super nice. This vacation was incredibly satisfying, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again the next time I visit Sanya!

GGuest UserStepping out of the taxi, the stunning sea view across the lobby immediately caught our eyes. My high schooler couldn't wait to jump into the ocean! The hotel has seamless access to the beach yet offers a private, tranquil setting. The service was excellent, with requests promptly attended to. Breakfast was plentiful, and the dinner buffet BBQ, which included salmon sashimi, cooked shrimp, and crab, was reasonably priced. The beds and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a wonderful few days of rest. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Yalong Bay. This is my fourth time in Yalong Bay, and this hotel truly gets a perfect score every time.

PPingguonaiyoubingganMy parents and I came to Hainan for Chinese New Year, and this hotel in Haikou was our last stop. We stayed at this Hilton for 2 nights. The first Hilton we stayed at, the Hilton Garden Inn Sanya Yalong Bay, was also a Hilton. Overall, I've always felt that Hilton rarely disappoints, but the room facilities at both Hilton hotels this time were quite disappointing. The air conditioning in the room wasn't cooling, the showerhead was broken and spraying everywhere, and there were colored stains and hairs on the sheets. These are pretty basic issues that are hard for guests to tolerate. Prices increased during the Spring Festival, but room hygiene and hardware management should also be improved. So why did I still give five stars? These five stars are for the service, and I especially want to thank one person: our housing service officer, Xiaoyu. We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 PM on the first night. The hotel has a meal ordering service, but I didn't see the QR code in the room. Xiaoyu patiently sent it to me. I have to say, the fried rice and wontons from Hilton that night were delicious and the portions were huge! (The pineapple fried rice I ordered at the Hilton Garden Inn Sanya Yalong Bay was also incredibly delicious!) It allowed my parents to have a comfortable dinner. Then, when showering, I found the showerhead was broken, and the pipe detached, but it didn't affect showering. It was fixed quickly the next day (no big deal). Later that night, the air conditioning started making noise (it actually made noise when we first entered, but we were busy checking in because it was so late and didn't pay much attention. Later, we woke up hot in the middle of the night, and the AC wasn't cooling; the next morning, it was blowing hot air. For 30-degree weather, this was unbearable!). Xiaoyu quickly resolved it for us. She first had a repairman come to check it. He said it was a drainage system issue and fixed it for us but suggested we observe it to see if we needed to change rooms. After observing that it was getting hotter, we decided to change rooms. Xiaoyu immediately arranged a room for us. She wasn't perfunctory at all but was completely considerate of us. She didn't just put us in a similar room or dismiss us by saying all rooms had insufficient AC. Instead, she upgraded our room type and took us to see the first room, turning on the AC for us to feel it, but it was still insufficient. She then took us to see the second room, which was also insufficient, and then the third. She accompanied us up and down the floors with a smiling service, without rushing or being opportunistic. Finally, we changed to an executive suite that we found cool and spacious. This allowed our family to spend a comfortable time in the room, which also had a washing machine and dryer service. We also enjoyed dinner at the executive lounge. Our whole family was very satisfied. We originally just wanted a similar room with AC, but we didn't expect Xiaoyu to arrange everything so thoughtfully. I want to especially thank her here. We were so lucky to have her; otherwise, I don't know how we would have stayed at this hotel. The lobby AC was also insufficient. The breakfast buffet had a rich variety of dishes but was also just decent, and the dining area's AC was insufficient as well. I hope the hotel can improve its hardware and enhance its hygiene management. I hope Hilton Haikou continues to get better.

ZZiyouzizaizizhuzizhuThe location is great, with plenty of food, drink, and entertainment options nearby. It's about a 1km+ walk to Qilou Old Street, across the street and through the park, which takes about half an hour. The hotel's special feature is the deep well hot spring, and indeed, after showering, my skin felt incredibly smooth and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel offers various services like self-service laundry and airport transfers, and the breakfast is quite good. The downsides are that the bathroom had a slight odor, and there was some noise at night.

GGuest UserOn the first day, I added Jill, our butler, on WeChat. Our first room was a bit far from the sea, so I asked the butler, and she immediately helped us switch to a much more comfortable room. All the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, which made us feel great. The next day, when they asked about our needs, I just mentioned wanting two extra bottles of water, and when we returned to the room, there were six! We couldn't even finish them by check-out. The pool had quite a few kids playing in the afternoon, but it was well-managed. Breakfast was decent; there weren't a huge variety of dishes, but the staff managed it very orderly, always leading us to our seats. The public areas weren't large but were very clean and perfect for photos. In the evenings, there was a lively band playing on the lawn. The room balcony was very comfortable, and once the sliding door was closed, the room was super quiet and not noisy at all. Overall, it was a great experience, and my child had a fantastic time. I would definitely choose this place again. Thanks to Butler Jill for her warm service!
