Before the trip, I saw quite a few negative reviews about this hotel—complaints about damp, musty rooms, lots of mosquitoes, and cold, slow front desk service. To be honest, I was pretty nervous and was mentally prepared to just make do for one night. But our stay turned out to be a complete reversal, all thanks to the fantastic service from Song Yifan! During check-in, he proactively asked about our preferences. Upon hearing our concerns about humidity and mosquitoes, he immediately arranged a room on a higher floor for us, patiently gave us tips on dehumidifying and airing out the room, and thoroughly introduced the hotel's amenities, breakfast hours, and hot spring opening times. Other staff members also greeted us with warm smiles whenever we ran into them. I'd also like to recommend the hotel's Chinese restaurant—the food overall was great, and the chef at the evening BBQ was especially warm and hospitable, leaving a wonderful impression. In all fairness, the lakeside setting is lovely and relaxing. Both the lake views and the garden hot springs offer a true vacation vibe. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are clean and well-kept. Great service is truly the soul of a resort hotel. This stay far exceeded our expectations, and I'm writing this specifically to give a shout-out to Song Yifan. For anyone who is on the fence: having such reliable staff really makes all the difference in your stay.

The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a very tranquil environment with hardly any disturbances. You truly feel a sense of peaceful seclusion. The scenery is absolutely stunning; opening the window reveals beautiful mountain and forest views. Even on a rainy day, sitting in the room listening to the rain and watching the misty mountains is a truly relaxing and healing experience. The staff were generally very good – warm, attentive, and made us feel quite comfortable. **Drawbacks:** Housekeeping could be improved, especially the swimming pool. Perhaps due to low occupancy and infrequent use, it seemed not to have been cleaned promptly. There were quite a few fallen leaves and small insects floating on the surface, making us hesitant to swim. Additionally, breakfast was quite mediocre, with no standout variety or taste. This was a bit disappointing compared to the hotel's overall environment and positioning. **Summary:** If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, and nature-immersed experience, this is an excellent choice. However, I hope the hotel pays more attention to the cleanliness of the pool and the quality of the breakfast; that would make it absolutely perfect.

Overall, a decent stay. The location is good, the staff were friendly and provided good service, and the air conditioning worked very well. The hotel is a bit run down, although that’s fairly common in Sanya. The room initially felt damp and had a musty smell, but the staff provided a dehumidifier, which resolved the smell after about a day. The biggest issue was the internet, which was so slow that you’re better off planning to use your phone’s hotspot. Overall, not a bad experience, and the staff were helpful in addressing problems, but there is definitely room for improvement.

This stay with my child exceeded my expectations. Ella's service was incredibly warm and friendly, and we were so lucky to get a room upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise! The hotel offers a fantastic array of children's activities, with bubble parties and craft sessions scheduled non-stop, keeping my child entertained and happy all day long. The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes, and the breakfast was fresh, abundant, and delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall service was thoughtful and attentive, allowing parents to relax while their kids play. It's truly perfect for a family vacation. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Sanya. I wholeheartedly recommend it to families with children.

This is our third time staying at this hotel! This time we brought our kids, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel features a huge lobby, and it's just a 2-minute walk to the Coconut Dream Corridor. Sanya Bay sunsets truly are the most breathtaking! The front desk thoughtfully arranged a sea-view room for us where we could watch the sunset. Since there aren't many tourists right now, the overall experience was much better than during peak season. My child had a blast swimming in the pool and digging in the sand at the beach—they didn't want to leave! The hotel also offers a great variety of kids' activities, so children can easily spend the whole day here. The room is very spacious; the facilities are a bit dated, but given how many years it's been open, that's expected. Plus, the hair dryers have finally been upgraded to new ones. All in all, this is a family-friendly hotel that offers fantastic value for money and is perfect for traveling with kids.

My InterContinental Resort stay was fantastic this time. First, a big thanks to our butler, Bonnie Tan, for upgrading us to a Deluxe Seaview room. We could see the ocean and the sunrise, although it was a pity that heavy rain the first two days made the nearshore waters murky. As of now, after two days, the yellowish area has reduced by about a third; I estimate it will take a week to fully clear up. Yesterday, the sunrise was partly obscured by clouds, but it was still beautiful. The room layout was excellent, very spacious with a wide open plan. The bathroom had two sinks and a vanity, and the shower faced the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. The bathtub was on the balcony; if I had stayed another day, I definitely would have enjoyed it. The Tianfu Chinese restaurant was delicious. They had a great value couple's set menu. The Crispy Pork Sandwich was perfect for those with a taste from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The grouper felt like it weighed a pound, and the chicken fat rice was so good I posted about it on both Dianping and Xiaohongshu. Other à la carte dishes were a bit pricey, probably 300-400 RMB per person. The tennis court was affordable at 180 RMB an hour, including rackets. They were all Wilson rackets; I couldn't identify the model but definitely not the Clash series. There were two with thin grips and two with thicker ones. Like the court itself, they were quite old. The pink thin-grip one I used felt like the strings were a bit loose, not as tight as the blue thin-grip one. The staff also set up a table and chairs, providing towels and water, which was a nice touch. The hotel lobby had a very high ceiling, grand decor, and an expansive space that was truly refreshing, much better than the feeling I got at the Yalong Bay Marriott. All the staff were friendly and greeted guests, and service was very responsive, including the front desk, lobby, Tianfu Bay restaurant, family pool, tennis court, and even the maintenance staff on the beach 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Far exceeded expectations! They even provided complimentary fruit and milk on the first day. The ocean-view room offered great value for money with an amazing field of vision—you could see the sea right from the balcony. Sitting outside at night was super breezy and comfortable, and you could hear people singing by the beach. During the National Day holiday, there was even a molten iron fireworks show (Da Tie Hua) which we could watch right from the balcony. The public areas are spacious with great landscaping and tons of coconut trees; it was so relaxing to grab a lounger by the beach in the afternoon and gaze at the sea. While taking a stroll, I passed by the Scarecrow Farm and was surprised to find quite a few cute small animals. There's a night market just a few hundred meters away, making dining out or ordering delivery very convenient. Our butler, Coral, was extremely thoughtful, warm, and attentive. We added each other on WeChat on the first day, and she would proactively check if we needed more bottled water. Her responses were always prompt. Highly satisfied!

This was our first time visiting Sanya, and we finally chose InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay (Crowne Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay / IHG property - *Note: Translating based on the specific hotel name provided in the text '仁恒皇冠', referring to Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Bay*), which came highly recommended by our friends. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday, and to bring our kids to play in the sand and collect seashells. We stayed for a total of three nights and were very satisfied overall. If you are traveling with kids, want to relax and just 'lay flat' at the hotel without rushing around to various tourist spots, and prefer a relatively new accommodation, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We stayed from October 10th to 13th. The weather during these days was quite sunny, with just a brief passing shower on one day that cleared up almost immediately. The hotel facilities are quite new and extremely well-equipped. The room was very spacious, located near the 'bow' (ship-like architecture), offering a view of a large stretch of the ocean. There are 13 floors in total, and the 8th floor was quite nice. The sand on the beach outside the hotel is very fine. They provide complimentary beach toys, and the foot-washing stations are a very thoughtful touch. After sunrise, you can even find some small seashells. (We visited several other places and couldn't find any seashells, but ended up finding the best ones right on the beach in front of the hotel.) Activities for children are fully packed every day and vary daily. The highlight was definitely the bubble show, usually held at 5:30 PM. We went right on the day of our arrival, and the kids had an absolute blast. Fixed children's facilities include the Kids' Club (suitable for younger toddlers), kids' swimming pools (both regular pools and a water park), and the Fantasy Forest (a climbing area suitable for energetic older kids over 1.2 meters tall). The hotel's public areas feature various swimming pools, all of which are quite nice. Just a tip: avoid swimming at noon; it's much better to go around 3 PM or later. The sun in Sanya is quite intense, so make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen. The hotel food is also quite good. We had a buffet on Saturday, and the daily breakfast varied slightly each day. The taste was decent. The hotel also offers vacation photography services, which are quite good. You can select your photos yourself, and it includes a free drone video clip. In the end, I paid 100 RMB to select 15 raw photos. Lastly, a big shout-out to our butler! Traveling in the off-season, we were upgraded to a higher room category upon arrival. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they arranged room decorations for our anniversary and birthday, and even sent us a small coconut, a mini cake, and a fruit platter.
