We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. The location is prettly good. Only 5 minutes from the famous square at the bottom of the mountain. And 10 minutes away from the glorious hike up the mountain through the bamboo first. We only booked it for a couple of hours to take a shower and get ready for the train. Didn't spend the night.

Service: The two bosses provided very humanized service. They prepared a hearty breakfast for us and took us for a ride and fishing. The housekeeper also dragged the wiring board to the pavilion in the tea garden and let us make tea in the sun. There is also a tank of water for bathing, which is clean and hygienic; it is so comfortable to enjoy the warmth in the embrace of nature at night! The tea at this restaurant is delicious, and several of its teas have won awards... It is equipped with a tea room where you can taste tea at will; it is really a bonus for people who like to drink tea. The price of black tea is also half cheaper than in the tea city. The water is filtered from mountain springs and has a sweet taste👍 Great vacation choice, the price for activities is very cost-effective!

What I am most satisfied with in the standard room is the layout and large space of the bathroom. The area marked on the room is absolutely accurate and not as cramped as I imagined. There is no obstruction outside the small window and the scenery is unbeatable. It is located at the entrance of ”Mao Zedong's stay”. It has been a long time since I had such a sloppy hotel breakfast - no noodles, no poached eggs, no milk coffee, no meat, and the small cakes had a strong flavor of essence. The restaurant waiter came over with the plates and said to the customer with a stern face: ”Make way.” I guess the hotel owes her wages! The other waiters won't say a word to you or even smile. Do they still have a stable job? I think few people would still be willing to choose to spend lunch here and enjoy the same treatment as the state-owned restaurants did thirty years ago.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.

The room is large and clean and tidy, the environment is beautiful, close to the scenic spot of Yucun, and it also has its own outdoor swimming pool. It is very suitable for playing when you are tired and come back to play in the water. The key is that the breakfast is super rich and varied and delicious. 😋, the proprietress service is also superb, praise praise praise 👍

I wanted to go on a spontaneous trip a long time ago, planning to relax in the mountains. I chose this homestay at random, and it was beyond my expectation.
