"A perfect stay in a perfect place! We read an article in the Times and loved the idea of a luxury B and B in a part of the UK we know and love . We were so enchanted by everything at The Green . Claire and Aurelius were charming and attentive hosts. The house has been decorated with love, panache and vision. The secluded, mature grounds are delightful too . Our room was divine, spacious and elegant and the breakfasts delicious. We had multiple conversations with our patient hosts ( sorry to distract you both from your duties! ) We can see ourselves returning later this year and on an ongoing basis as we had such a wonderful and memorable stay and The Green represents exactly what we seek from a weekend in the country. Thank you both very much!"

"Our stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay."

"It is good to have 3 beds available. The bathroom is big enough to accommodate both shower unit and bath tub. The water supply and the temperature are under good control. There are plenty of storage in the room. We appreciate the availability of breakfast."
