"We had a rest in September 2024. Ramiz organized a transfer from the airport and back. The meeting was very warm with coconut juice! Only twelve rooms, a 24-hour swimming pool. Bicycles, masks, fins for rent. We took only breakfasts and dinners. Everything was very tasty, especially fish dishes at dinners!!! The cook always came out and asked for an opinion on the quality of the dishes and about desires for the next breakfast/dinner. Tea/coffee around the clock. It is very nice! The hotel is new, the beds are comfortable, the shower is in the open air. The Wi-Fi is excellent, which is quite rare in the Maldives."

"We stayed in October 2025. We liked the guesthouse for its bright, clean entrance area and the friendly staff. The manager is always on hand and courteous. The establishment has seven rooms, all cozy, quiet, and family-like. Each room has a table and chairs. There's a kitchenette with a microwave, stovetop, and 24-hour tea and coffee. The owner comes to the guesthouse several times a day to inquire about the guests' moods and needs. The beach towels are good. Upon arrival on the island, we were met at the port by an electric car and escorted back."

"The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and polite. The receptionist helped us arrange excursions without leaving the hotel at a good price, the breakfast was wonderful, though it's a shame you have to rent bikes for an extra fee. Otherwise, everything was great!"

"It was an interesting experience staying in a capsule hotel. Very futuristic and unusual! There's a free shuttle to the beach. There's construction going on everywhere on the island, which I was prepared for since I'm there often and it wasn't a problem for me. There was also a projector in the room."

"Guest house with family drive with Maria that makes exceptional dishes every day. Bike always available to reach the two wonderful beaches. We were also lucky because in 14 days of stay we only got 2 hours of rain despite the period was not the best. "Very cozy gesture house with an inner courtyard under the roof. One of the closest locations to the beach of Bikini Beach. Clean. Bed is very large and comfortable. Air conditioning is new and powerful. The bathroom is beautifully decorated and the shelves of the onxe (impressed). And the price for the room is quite acceptable compared to other hotels on the island. Breakfast is good in the form of a buffet. There is a local and continental breakfast. I always chose local because local pancakes and coconut with tuna are beautiful. Also took dinner here and never regretted. More likely the first two days went to the local cafe, but there you have to wait, there are local men sitting and smoke a lot. And here on the spot made for a good price the delicious dinners - every day fresh fish barbecue (red sneeper, wahu, etc.), dessert, and chick of fresh fruit. The host organizes a tour of mant and sharks, at a price much more attractive than Anatoly. In short - go and enjoy the beautiful Maldives beach! The hotel is excellent."

"We stumbled upon Ambra Maldives while staying elsewhere on the island. It looked new, immaculate and appealing, unlike many other establishments on Thoddoo. We ended up having lunch at Ambra every day, thanks to its proximity to Bikini Beach. The friendly general manager showed us one of the 6 new villas, which can sleep up to 5 people. Ambra has only been open since April 2025 and is operated by a team who have experience in some of the well known Maldivian resort brands such as The Four Seasons, which generally adhere to a much higher standard of tidiness and cleanliness than what we saw elsewhere on Thoddoo. Ambra is part-owned by Italian investors, and this is reflected in the menu, which features a number of Italian specialties that would have been good for dinner, such as Chicken Cacciatore and Lasagne. For lunch, we stuck with the delicious tuna burger, falafel flatbread and Caesar salad, along with blueberry smoothies and bitter lemon. (Authentic Italian pizzas would a nice addition to the menu.) It was a relief to have chilled water provided free of charge; our guesthouse only provided water at ambient temperature (i.e. 28C+), which wasn’t appealing, and no other beverage options besides tea and coffee. If we were to visit Thoddoo again, we’d definitely look to stay at Ambra Maldives, which is close to but outside the town centre and closer to the beach than any other places we saw. Well done, team Ambra, and keep up the high standards!"
