"This was an amazing hotel and after the hellish experience I’d had in travelling to Taunton and other things along the way this hotel was bliss. Nicky on the desk was a lovely person and made you feel like you were lifelong friends. My room was 29 and it had everything I needed. It was clean and bright and the bed was so cosy. There was even a fridge in it! There are kitchen areas on every floor with cookers, fridges and microwaves. I loved my stay and if I ever return to Taunton I’ll definitely go back there ❤️"

"Great stay as always, although warm the new fans were great and did what they needed to do, Breakfast was fantastic so tasty. They were having a new bar area fitted and it didn’t impact at all and will only make it better in the social. Plenty of parking great food and staff can’t do enough for you so friendly and helpful thank you."

"I was really pleased with my stay it was really good value and I liked the room, it was spacious. I was woken up by people slamming doors though which was a shame. Also the breakfast was confusing, I had to buy a voucher. But overall it was good and I would stay again."

"Excellent location. Walking distance to Sainsbury’s, McDonalds and Starbucks. Room was clean and bed comfy. Stifling hot though and the desk fan was of minimal benefit given that the window opening is restricted."

"I booked a deluxe double room for just one night. We were very happy with our room, which was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The welcome from Reception was warm and friendly. There is parking at the hotel but this is run by NCP and costs just under £10 for a 24 hour stay. Payment is via an APP so I suggest installing that on your phone before you arrive. There is not the option to pay by cash or card at the machine. The hotel itself is very charming, with individually decorated bedrooms and a host of period features and furniture in the public rooms. We were meeting my son for dinner in a nearby restaurant for dinner so cannot comment on the Dining Room and we opted out of breakfast as we had an early lunch arranged. We did enjoy some cocktails in Brazz, where the service and quality of the drinks were appreciated."

"Waited ages in reception to book in, no one was there, rang the bell 3 times after waiting ages between each ring. Room and bathroom weren’t cleaned properly. Shower head & hose was leaking so difficult to have a shower. No toilet tissue, had to ask for it. WiFi non existent unless you paid for it which shouldn’t be the case in this day and age!! Breakfast amazing!!"

"This is not our first stay here and we have always found it to be a very nice stop off. Friendly staff, good breakfasts in a spotless eating area. This year the screen for entering my care registration was "not working" and I verbally gave my car registrations details to reception. Today I received a fine for parking illegally, although I had a confirmed booking. Lenny Henry never mentioned this could happen in the ads."

"Brilliant place to stay. Booked for 1 night as convenient for visiting family and a social activity. We also wanted to book late June but we’re told they are fully booked. The bed was extremely comfy. Woke up on time for late breakfast, which was delicious, home made marmalade and scrambled eggs the way I like them. We liked the little touches such as night light. As it’s still cool in the evenings we were glad of an extra burst of heat from the very efficient radiator. Having what3words to identify building was very useful."

We arrived very late due to traffic delays but kept in touch with Liz by text who was more than accommodating and recommended a local pub to eat en route. A beautifully appointed room, easy parking and a fabulous breakfast. A great stopover before our ongoing journey to Cornwall. Thank you Liz!"

"Absolutely lovely stay at this very cosy inn in the pretty village of Hatch Beachamp. Super friendly staff - special shout out to the young lads serving dinner. Very hospitable welcome from one of the young lads and v dog friendly. Gorgeous large room (stayed in room 2) with extremely comfortable bed (larger than my super king at home) and slept exceptionally well which is amazing as I'm pretty much an insomniac. Very quiet and restful. Large bathroom with good shower and corner bath - very nice body wash/shampoo & conditioner provided. Spotlessly clean throughout. Tea, coffee (machine), kettle in room with fresh milk available. Stayed 2 nights and could have stayed the week! Ate both evenings at the inn - great atmosphere and clearly popular with locals. Love the decor throughout and full English breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend. Would definitely return anyday. (Photos taken at the end of our stay.) Of all the B&Bs I've stayed in in the UK, this has been my favourite. Sad we weren't there on a Thursday for pizza night (outside pizza oven & area). Excellent value."

Our room (room 1) was clean & comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. Richard kindly helped with restaurant recommendations which we took his advice on and thoroughly enjoyed….thank you! We will definitely be back & have recommended you to my family when they come down to visit my sister who lives 25mins outside Taunton."
