Only the Sheraton lives up to its name. Hilton Garden Inn has the worst service and facilities among the three. The front desk has a poor attitude towards non-native English speaking guests and is obviously much less patient. Sheraton will not have this feeling of being treated differently. The front desk staff is very polite and friendly to Chinese people. The house facilities are similar to those of newly built five-star hotels in China. They are new and comfortable. The rooms are relatively large and very clean. ; Moreover, the area where the Sheraton is located is very safe and belongs to a relatively good area in Redding. The nearby scenery is very good; the hotel restaurant is also very good. I was a little thirsty while waiting for a table. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. Our room was clean but sparse. Very plain room with no toiletries except for soap and shampoo in pump bottles. I did find someone’s shower cap hanging from the bathroom door. The bed was comfortable but didn’t sleep very well due to some machine noise outside. We were disappointed that the breakfast was only until 9am. What hotel ends breakfast so early? We don’t want to wake up early just to eat breakfast. Weirdest thing. Overall, it was an okay stay. We were just passing through for the night. If we pass through again, don’t think we’d stay again. Do recommend Willy’s brewery and restaurant in downtown and Black Bear diner for breakfast.
