"Newly opened Holiday Inn Express at the site of the old Ramada, in northern Redding right on I-5. The newly designed rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. Everything is spotlessly clean. The indoor pool is a bit small, and unfortunately there is no whirlpool. The WiFi was unstable and stopped working completely late in the evening. Breakfast was of the usual high standard for Holiday Inns, with hot dishes (scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns), waffles and pancakes to make yourself, as well as bagels and cereal."

No room service until the 3rd of our 4 day visit (even with asking EVERYDAY of our stay) was told by front desk employee that they r short staffed. Rooms in bad condition and smell. Toilet barely flushes. Sink was plugged up. Shower constantly fluctuates in temperature, cold one minute then scalding hot the next. Carpets filthy with stains. Ice machine only works on 3rd floor and we could hear everyone using it from inside our room. Doors being slammed all night, noise from the freeway is noticeable. Bed sheets had stains on them. Ran a black light on the sofa, cum stains in several spots. We wont be back and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone."

I did find someone’s shower cap hanging from the bathroom door. The bed was comfortable but didn’t sleep very well due to some machine noise outside. We were disappointed that the breakfast was only until 9am. What hotel ends breakfast so early? We don’t want to wake up early just to eat breakfast. Weirdest thing. Overall, it was an okay stay. We were just passing through for the night. If we pass through again, don’t think we’d stay again. Do recommend Willy’s brewery and restaurant in downtown and Black Bear diner for breakfast."
