Our stay at Kistar Cave Hotel was nothing short of magical. Nestled in Uchisar, the surroundings are quiet and serene. The hotel offers amazing views of the surrounding caves and landscapes. We intentionally chose a location away from the bustle and Kistar proved to be the perfect retreat - peaceful and secluded, yet still conveniently close to Göreme for exploring.
What truly sets Kistar apart is its exceptional hospitality. We were welcomed with genuine warmth that made us feel less like guests and more like family. Each morning began with an unforgettable breakfast lovingly prepared by the anneanneler (Nonnas). It was evident that every detail was crafted with care. From freshly churned yoghurt, an array of homemade jams, freshly baked breads, vibrant salads, and beautifully slow cooked vegetables. Every breakfast felt like a heartfelt feast, and we deeply appreciated the time and effort poured into each spread.
Despite the winter chill outside, the rooms were well heated and comfortable. Even when temperatures dipped to zero degrees, we could relax indoors in just a t-shirt.
An unexpected treat was to see the hot air balloons take off from our balcony.
There are quite a few restaurants near the hotel - from local Turkish food to Asian and Italian.
Kistar Cave Hotel is a family-owned gem, and staying here truly feels like being at home, away from home. The owners gave us lovely treats to bring home and we are so touched by their warmth and kindness.
For those seeking tranquility, authentic hospitality, and a memorable Cappadocian experience, Kistar is the place to go to.

Pierfrancesco PolieriA stay at Hotel Osmanali is not merely an accommodation experience; it is an encounter with elegance, refinement, and the art of genuine hospitality. From the very first moment, the hotel reveals itself as a place of understated sophistication, where every detail appears thoughtfully conceived to create an atmosphere of grace, harmony, and absolute comfort. The cleanliness is truly beyond reproach—impeccable to an almost extraordinary degree—and every corner of the property reflects a profound respect for the guest and for the beauty of the surroundings.
The room offered a haven of serenity after the enchanting yet demanding days spent exploring Cappadocia. The mattress, in particular, deserves a special mention: exceptionally comfortable, it transformed each night into a moment of restorative repose, allowing one to awaken refreshed and ready to embrace the wonders of this extraordinary land.
And then, there is the restaurant—a true delight. As an Italian woman with an enduring passion for fine food, I feel particularly qualified to say that the culinary experience at Hotel Osmanali deserves the highest praise. The breakfast is abundant, beautifully presented, and wonderfully satisfying, while the restaurant itself offers a gastronomic experience that I wholeheartedly recommend. For those who appreciate authentic flavours, thoughtful preparation, and the simple yet profound pleasure of good food, dining here is an experience not to be missed.
Yet what elevates Hotel Osmanali above all is its staff. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine devotion to the well-being of their guests are truly remarkable. Following an unfortunately disappointing experience at another hotel, arriving at Osmanali felt almost like a return to tranquillity. The staff demonstrated an exceptional sensitivity to my needs, always attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
It is precisely this human dimension that transforms a beautiful hotel into an unforgettable one.
For this reason, I recommend Hotel Osmanali with complete sincerity and without the slightest hesitation. If you are travelling through Cappadocia, do not underestimate the importance of choosing a place worthy of such a magnificent journey. A disappointing hotel can cast a shadow over even the most extraordinary itinerary; Hotel Osmanali, by contrast, enhances the experience and becomes part of the memory itself.
Elegant, immaculate, refined, and graced by truly exceptional hospitality, Hotel Osmanali is a place I would wholeheartedly return to—and one I would sincerely recommend to anyone wishing to experience Cappadocia at its most enchanting.

We had an absolutely wonderful 2-night stay at Noah’s Ark Cave Hotel. Staying in a genuine cave room was such a unique and memorable experience, and the room was comfortable, clean, and full of character.
The host was exceptional—friendly, caring, and always willing to help with anything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. The team also assisted us with booking our hot air balloon flight and Red Tour, making our Cappadocia trip completely stress-free.
The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh local food, and the location was perfect for exploring Göreme and enjoying the beautiful views.
Thank you for making our stay so special. We highly recommend Noah’s Ark Cave Hotel to anyone visiting Cappadocia and would happily stay here again! 😊

Sonia RaphaelWe booked 2 nights at the Hira Cave Hotel. Omar and Mehdi took care of all our requests during our stay! The property is beautiful, rooms are well maintained and the location is at the perfect vantage point to experience beautiful views (from their rooftop).
📱 They reached out to us before checking in to give us information about the hot air balloon booking, various other tours and helped us arrange an airport shuttle - this was all via whatsapp.
They even helped us organise a taxi late at night to go into town / as well as back to the hotel.
🛜 WiFi is good here! There were also no issues with connectivity with 4G/5G ✅
🚪 Initially we had booked the ‘Arch Room’(which has windows), but upon arrival in the evening, we were given the Deluxe Cave room (smaller & no windows). I believe it was an honest mistake, and once we pointed it out, Mehdi took us to see the other available rooms and we ended up choosing the Queen Room w/Jacuzzi. I really appreciate that he did this, and the problem was solved on the spot!
🛁 The Queen room is beautiful and spacious, and the bathroom is massive! It has a Jacuzzi that fits 2 people!
Water pressure in the shower is great, and basic amenities were provided in the bathroom.
🌬️ There is aircon in the room, however it wasn’t as cooling as we had hoped. There was also a glitch where it kept switching off after about 30 min and then showed us an error. So we had to keep turning it back on - which was a bit inconvenient 🤷🏻♀️.
The issue was brought up during checkout, and they said they will be looking into it. 👍🏼
🍽️ They have a breakfast terrace that is covered yet has a STUNNING panoramic view of the whole town of Göreme. They had a delicious spread of food which was freshly made, clean & healthy! They were also able to make scrambled eggs on request.
Overall, our experience here was great. We felt taken care of, and it’s safe to say we made a good choice staying here!
🫰🏼✨ Special thanks to Omar and Mehdi for their kind hospitality! We would highly recommend this place to everyone, as each room is unique and will appeal to people of varied tastes.
📝 Notes for improvement:
- Include an ironing board in the room/ cupboard
- Include a full length mirror in the room. Your guests will thank you for it!

Guest UserThe hotel service was excellent! They helped with our luggage and even arranged a bus to Kayseri for us. I accidentally broke the glass on a light bulb, and not only did they not charge me, but they also helped clean it up.
The hotel breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. I highly recommend booking the breakfast with your stay – it was the best breakfast I had during my ten days in Turkey across all the hotels! There was a great variety of sweet fruits and many other dishes.
The scenery is beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the hot air balloons from the hotel terrace, accompanied by some adorable cats and dogs. Oh! After watching the hot air balloons in the morning, two little kittens even snuck into my room! It was a delightful surprise. If you love animals, this hotel is definitely for you. I will recommend this hotel to my Chinese friends who plan to visit Turkey, as the service experience was truly outstanding!

A beautiful hotel and a wonderful experience. Goreme is so beautiful and this hotel is located not too far from the central places where you can find lots of great restaurants and souvenir shops. The room is naturally cool and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the whole atmosphere at the hotel and the outside seating areas are perfect for relaxing after a long day of touring. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Roman TregubI really liked this hotel; the cave hotel concept is perfectly executed. The location is excellent, the room has all the necessary amenities, and the rooftop offers a great view for watching the balloons at sunrise. Breakfast is a standard buffet: vegetables, eggs, sausages, and a large variety of sweets and fruits. The only downside is the lack of windows, which causes a slight, but not critical, musty smell. The staff's service was outstanding – we had a plumbing issue which was resolved within an hour, and afterwards, they brought a fruit platter to our room as an apology. They also provided wine glasses for us to use outside the hotel in the evening, as per our request. Even though there were many guests during our stay, we didn't hear any noise in our room. Overall, for its price, the hotel fully delivers on quality and service.

We stayed here 3 nights. December.
Simple hotel with an open courtyard & we were in quad family room.
When booking, we requested for cave room as we see there are pics of room that does not look like cave. Upon arrival we were given non-cave room (because it's a slightly bigger room compared to cave) we like that it's at level 1. Right at courtyard. It is convenient & nice to just hangout there. We checked with reception and requested to stay in a cave room. The reception was very helpful & allowed us to change for the next two nights after showing us how the cave room looks.
My teenage girls love Lucky the dog (part of the reason why we picked this hotel) after reading reviews, and there are also 3-4 cats. They totally enjoyed the stay having these cute company.
Breakfast was good enough & location is good too. We took bus to uchisar, even to derinkuyu on our own. Not too tough. Bus station within walking distance.
Only hope to improve is the cave room toilet can be very stuffy. And the shower area can be curtained to prevent water from splashing around.
Overall we are happy with our stay. And all the staff are helpful & nice.

Guest UserGreat and friendly service from staff, exceptionally from Mostava. We checked in late at 8pm and checked out exceptionally early at 3am since we had day tour before checking in and catch hot air balloons when checking out, he kept our baggage all those times and after getting back from balloons, we had another day tour before catching the night bus, he kindly let us shower and freshened up even though we checked out and repacked our luggage at theirs. I’ve never had a place where they are so kind and understandable.

The overall experience is good. We were worried that it would be cold in the cave. However, the temperature was comfortable, and you can control it. Also, there was really good wi-fi.
However, we had a few issues there:
1. The kettle is broken and should be changed
2. The hair dryer is old and bad quality.
3. When we checked in the owner said that tea is free and available any time, I think it.was misunderstood as on the last day host asked us to pay 400tl for the tea and coffee.
4. We booked a room with a fireplace but host said that it doesn't work. Later, we did clarify why it doesn't work and the problem was that the owner didn't have wood for it and it wasn't possible to buy it on our own anywhere (we did visit 4 different places).
