3-Star Hotels in Koh Larn

I can't understand how this hotel got such a high rating. They don't respond to emails. They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat. Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht! I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option. For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1. The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided. The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :) The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn. The air conditioning was noisy. They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc. I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation. As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :) Seriously... it's the 21st century. Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does! So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important! Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc. Overall, breakfast was more or less okay. There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful they organised transport for me every day to different beaches and around the island. The pool is lovely and you can walk to a beach nearby but in general all the beaches are a short drive away. They serve a nice breakfast and the rooms are huge and very clean and the baths are lovely!! I will definitely come back.

Excellent place! There are four quite spacious bungalows, all detached from each other, making it very quiet and peaceful to sleep there. The breakfast is delicious. Keep in mind that you'll definitely need to rent a scooter as getting to the beaches on foot would be difficult. This place is perfect for a 2-3 day stay to explore the whole island.

A small hotel behind Tawaen Beach. The rooms are okay, but tired, and the towels aren't the freshest. It's conveniently located, with a pool and its own private stretch of beach. Swimming in the sea isn't ideal, however, as a ton of jet skis are parked right next to the beach, right in front of the hotel, making it impossible to swim properly. The beach attracts crowds of tourists. The service is good, and everyone is friendly and helpful. A shuttle service is available.

The staff were lovely and the service was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. They also have motorbikes for rent, which is great (though the motorbike I got was a bit sluggish and slow to accelerate). The room condition was superb (but the towels had a slight musty smell).

Very comfortable bed, fragrant and clean room, good service, clean bathroom, come alone, not lonely at all, location is next to the sea, beautiful view, there is a swimming pool but haven't played yet, next time will come back to the same place.

The property is centrally located on the island. Motorbikes are available for rent at 300 THB, though the one we received seemed to have been in a prior accident, making it difficult to ride as it constantly pulled to the left. The location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance, and a shuttle service is also provided. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom did have a slight drain odor. The room itself had no offensive smell, but wasn't particularly fresh-smelling either. The bathroom floor was quite slippery, so caution was needed when walking. The wall-mounted shower had very weak water pressure; a standard shower head would be a significant improvement. Interestingly, the water pressure at the sink and from the bidet sprayer was strong. The room lighting was rather dim and yellowish. The TV was unusable due to intermittent signal (this was in our family room). Breakfast included congee, bread, coffee, and Ovaltine.

Nice location near the pier, although you need to wind between some alleyways. The view, as shown in the website photos, is not quite what you get. Lovely breakfast, made to order. Room and bathroom are both clean and comfortable. Scooters are available for hire at the premises.

Жили тут 11 дней, за это время в номере убрались 2 раза, когда кончалась вода/туалетная бумага/кофе приходилось выпрашивать у владельца. От отеля до Манки бич 2,5 км, до пирса Бали хай 700 метров, рядом много кафешек/магазинов. Байк (300) и такси (100)можно попросить у владельца. Ночью долбит музыка из кафешек,все бы ничего, но певцам на ухо медведь наступил. На улице где можно посидеть хорошо, но много мух, муравьев и Комаров. Из плюсов сад осень красивый,

The hotel is located close to the pier. Check-in is strictly at 2 PM. However, you can leave your luggage and head to the beach, rent a sun lounger for 100 baht and stay there all day, as they say, but only until 4 PM. The area is beautiful, of course, with azure waters. There's a 7/11 near the hotel. You can rent a bike for 200 baht, also said to be for the whole day, but we didn't try it. What I want to say about the hotel itself is that we paid around 4-something for it, but it's not worth the money. Upon check-in, it was quite dirty, and the towel smelled awful; they replaced it with a clean one. The room has soap, shampoo, body wash, two bottles of water, and that's it. There are also two doors leading to different parts of the hotel. In the morning, I woke up to something crawling terrifyingly from one part of the room to another and got incredibly scared. A little later, I realized it was something running on the ceiling. After that, I couldn't fall back asleep. Thank goodness my husband woke up, and I felt a bit calmer.
