Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a good location in Glenelg close to the ***** of restaurants on Jetty Road, the waterfront and the Ferris Wheel. We had a room on the 1st floor but it had a good view of the trees and the road in front. Our experience in Glenelg was marred by the numerous flies in the area that kept bothering us as we walked around the parks and waterways in the area. We also had a slight misunderstanding whereby although the hotel had agreed to a late checkout at the time of checking in, this was not documented and the cleaning crew came knocking on our door and asking us to go to the Reception to sort out the issue.
SSein.HThe room is comfortable and the heating is very strong. The water pressure is very high when taking a bath. The water quality is very similar to the downtown area of Sydney. There is also a welcome drink coupon when you check in. You can redeem it at any time. I was changing wine.
CCarey LoyBreakFree Adelaide is a pragmatic choice for the high-frequency business traveler who views a hotel as a utility rather than an experience. Positioned on the western edge of the CBD, it offers a ”three-star plus” experience—clean, functional, and devoid of the price bloat found in nearby luxury hubs.
The strategic advantage here is the onsite undercover parking ($22/night with a 2.1m clearance), which is a rare, friction-reducing asset in the city center. For those working in the West End or visiting the University of Adelaide’s Health Faculty, the logistics are seamless.
The area's character is gritty but authentic. While the immediate hotel dining is unremarkable, the culinary upside is concentrated nearby. Specifically, Seoul Express on Hindley Street provides high-quality Korean fare that serves as a necessary antidote to standard hotel catering. Stay here for the operational efficiency; look elsewhere if you require aesthetic inspiration.
QQINGCHUNWe were in a hurry and didn't have time to have breakfast. The room is quite big and should be able to accommodate an extra bed if needed. Can take children. The room itself is a double bed + a single bed. A family of three stays, sleeps more comfortably, and does not feel crowded. This is a country resort. The environment is very good. There is a parking lot and you can park.
GGuest UserRoom was nice and clean, but a little in the smallish side , due to room having a queen and single bed in it
Very quiet location despite being walking distance to numerous cafes / takeaway / restaurant’s / supermarket but we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all
Enjoyed the supplied light breakfast pack it was nice of OJ / milk / cereal / musesli bar
Plenty of room to park our car.
Very convenient location we will stay again when we need to visit the city ( Adelaide )
GGuest UserLocation was fine for what we wanted, to be close to Gillman speedway. Pool was lovely. Spa was very slow on pumping bubbles & area around pool could be cleaner but maybe there had been heavy rain. Didn’t use the food service.
메메리팍The location is so good. Walkable to the seaside town center.
However, the cleanliness of the bathroom and the musty smell in the room...
I tried to understand that it was a cheap motel in the area, but
The bathroom was so bad. A motel with a slightly uncomfortable feel.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to save money. If you have some money, go to another motel.
Parking facilities are located within the motel, but the spaces are too narrow.
The swimming pool was fairly clean.
GGuest UserAs the cheapest non-dorm room available in central Adelaide, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has history and character. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the food was good and the range of beer was great. The room was a bit basic, but hey, it’s a place to get your head down for the night. The washrooms are shared, but no hotel from that period will have en-suites. The water ran hot in the showers, just if you’re tall like me, be prepared to contort if you want to get under the stream of water to wash your hair!!
