Find 2-Star Hotels in Surat Thani

This hotel deserve more star , to me is the best in Surat thani town area without any discussion clean and cheaper than other hotel I’ve tried some with more star was dirty and more expensive the price is just to low than the service I recommend it ! u won’t regret your stay here trust me

Hubby and I stopped in Surathani in transit to our next destination. 2 nights which was enough for us to rest after a day travelling and to check out this famous transit point on our way yo Railay. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was a street back off the the Ta Pi River Esplanade and a short walk from our bus drop off (Phan theep Transfers) arriving from Koh Tao (we purchased a ferry and minivan combo ticket. Excellent option. We try to opt for easy and not expensive, easy first preference). Hotel is on a corner and has artificial grass in front of hotel entrance. You can't miss it. Hotel is well presented, clean, staff friendly, good sized room and hot water. The bed was a little hard, lets say a coin will probably bounce off it easily, but to our surprise, even though the mattress and pillows were firm, we didn't wake up with a sore back, so pretty much ok. We were on the 4th floor and hardly any noise from traffic below even with all the traffic noise. It was a Thai public holiday as they were celebrating the anniversary of the late kings death( 13th October). Colourful and ornated floats along the Esplanade and down the main street of the hotel. The floats were spectacular with monks showering everyone with water blessings. Heaps of food stalls. The air-conditioning was a pain, as with many in Resorts and hotels. For some reason, they dont work according to the temp setting and fan speed. Turned up to 27 degrees on lowest fan setting and it was still cold in the room. If you turned it off, it too hot. We slept with heads at foot of bed so the cold air didn't hit our face. What do you do, its sane same mostly everywhere. Unfortunately no kettle and tea/coffee facility in room. They do have this available in lobby from 5 to 10am only for free. There are coffee shops outside hotel though especially Mary's Cafe. Another disappointment for us, cause we are veggos and western, they don't provide breakfast and we couldn't find Western food that suited us non meat and Asian palette. Plenty of Thai food but we didnt like that for breaky. We walked over to the otherside of the river to their sister hotel CBD Hotel 2, as they served breaky so we purchased a buffet style for 150 baht each. You can opt to stay here also if you wish. Its right on the river and about 15 minute walk. Wasnt an issue walking there because on the way stopped of at the City Shrine and walked around Koh Lamphu Park ( a health park and well worth a visit. Its an island accessible by bridge. Views of the River also. We are early birds so plenty of time before breaky). Fruit for lunch was enough but there is a little Thai Vegan restaurant (another lucky find. Turn left exiting the hotel and down that road opposite the fire station). But only open to about 1pm we think. There is another hotel that includes breakfast near the River on and sane side as CBD hotel called Harbour Front but no idea what the rooms are like or reviews. We chose CBD due to the reviews

For its small money - a great option for a transit passenger. We took a regular room with a fan for the night. We washed ourselves (the water is not hot), slept and went on. Wi-Fi works, but not very well. There is a cafe and a small food market, massage parlors nearby. Talad Kaset 2 bus station is within walking distance. The hotel also offers booking services for buses/ferries in various directions.

The other comments were correct. There is a strange smell that comes from the bathroom, but that’s to be expected from an older building with old sewage pipes. The place is fairly nice but it’s a little noisy because it’s right next to one of her major highway/streets that goes through the town. Also i think the ladies staying there are a little loud at times as well. Overall though not such a bad place.

But on the day of going to rest, the elevator is broken So the staff arranged the place 3 Don't have to walk much Hospitable staff

I have no complaints with this hotel. The location is fantastic, the rooms clean, wifi strong, aircon good and hot shower. Staff were friendly and even gave me a post card thanking me for staying there which is really nice. I will stay next time in Surat as it's a good budget option.

anyone who has stayed at a Hop Inn knows the story; the rooms are small, clean, modern, and well maintained, selling value as a main draw. they've added a breakfast to this one, the first one set up that way, according to my son (not such a great reference, but we've stayed in others and never saw that). the breakfast is pretty basic, coffee (which they already had), an instant version of orange juice, toast, fried eggs, and basic congee, but it works as a light bite to eat to start the day. oddly the cost didn't increase for adding that; it's still in the 650 baht range, quite inexpensive. they should probably add a bit of depth to the breakfast and include it as an option, adding a fee, since otherwise it's coming straight out of their profit, but it's a good enough set of aspects acting as a draw that maybe it keeps them more full. location is fine related to nearby shopping but I would imagine it's more for travelers passing through, or people actually staying in Surat. there's a go-kart place right beside it that was pretty cool, with really advanced karts at minimal cost. if you travel through with kids you should check if timing works out to do some laps there.

Good hotel location, spacious parking, but a roofed parking lot has only one side. The hotel on the cover like on the website Only attached about cleanliness There is still a cigarette butt. The area in the wardrobe is a bit dusty. If people are difficult to sleep, it is not recommended to come. Because the room does not keep sound, but if people do not The room is ok.

Cheap and cheerful.....clean rooms..... excellent staff.....great for a nights stay before you venture off to one of the Islands...next to the river Tapee...great street food next to the river......not much nightlife though....going to stay there again in April....
