2-Star Hotels in Koh Phangan

This is a super fantastic hotel, located in a quiet and secluded spot. The hotel has its own beach access, which is the best on the island. Nearby, you'll find everything you need: a 7/11, McDonald's, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and always helpful. They check the grounds several times a day, fumigate for mosquitoes, and even inspect for dangerous snakes with a flashlight.

Everything was good...definitely recommend it. My only criticism is that there was no TV in my room.

I stayed at Limelight Village for 2 weeks in February and loved it so much, I came back for 3 weeks in March! There are 8 detached units, which are very private, with very comfortable beds, soft sheets, a terrace and I little area out the back which is great for drying as it gets so hot! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and clean the rooms very well and always with a smile! Breakfast was good with a selection of cooked and cold options, served with juice and a hot drink. The accommodation is directly on a stunning beach and the pool as a fabulous optional extra! I highly recommend this place to stay and am already booking next year! The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful with any questions you have, and they speak good English. The bungalows are charming, and the property is very quiet with stunning sea views, perfect for watching sunsets. The pool is clean. Our room was simple but cozy. There was complimentary water upon arrival, and the towels and linens were changed after two days, which was a nice touch.

”Spectacular views, shame about everything else” Venus on Koh Phangan is the definition of a mixed bag—and unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives here. Let's start with what works: the view is absolutely stunning. Perched overlooking the water, it's genuinely breathtaking and exactly what you'd hope for when booking an island getaway. If you're someone who can sit on a balcony and stare at the sea for hours, you'll get that here. The problem is you'll have to stare at it from a very tired room. The accommodation is old and frankly, dying for a renovation. Everything feels dated and worn—furniture, fittings, decor—like stepping back in time but not in a charming way. It's functional at best. The location compounds the issues. It's terrible—nothing around at all, and almost inaccessible by foot. You'll absolutely need your own transportation (scooter or taxi) just to get to a restaurant or convenience store. If you're without wheels, you're stranded. Overall, Venus trades entirely on its view, but neglects everything else. If you prioritize scenery above all and have your own transport, maybe. Otherwise, look for somewhere that puts equal effort into the actual accommodation and location.

I was looking for a hostel in Haadrin, I got it at a very nice price... the advantages are the cleanliness of the hotel, the vibe, the location, the girl at the reception is the most beautiful and charming ❤️ the pastels are clean, the towels are new, I asked for extra blankets to hang as a curtain, she brought me ❤️ Haadrin beach is two steps away and Lila beach is 400 meters away, you should definitely go there, 7/11, there are all the cafes) It is incredibly nice that the hoster has a locker/safe ✅ A cooler with cold and hot water, free coffee, cookies at the reception, there is a small veranda shared by guests... note for tourists, warn the girl at the reception in advance of the departure date, since the reception is not around the clock) ✅ the taxi driver dropped me off somewhere on the street and I had to look for hostel, locals can't really help either, guys, landmark bar/shop with a figure of Bob Marley and go to the big golden arch there immediately hide hostel✅ For those who want to save money, Haadrin Pier is literally 5-7 minutes from the hostel, go there one morning and buy a ticket in advance cheaper than from tour representatives, if you need to go back to Samui or somewhere... I will gladly return to this hostel, I liked everything

Disappointing experience Unfortunately, my experience with this property was quite disappointing, mainly because of the communication and how the situation was handled. I contacted the property around 4:38 PM to let them know that I was on my way. I was traveling alone, it was my first time in the area, and it was already getting dark. I was waiting for clear information about the check-in process, but I didn’t receive a response until around 6 PM. By that time, I was already worried about arriving somewhere unfamiliar without knowing what to do. Because I was concerned about being left without a place to stay, I booked another accommodation. I then tried to cancel my original booking and request a refund, but the cancellation was not accepted. I also tried to modify the booking, but that was rejected as well. I even called the property on the 23rd, and although the call was answered, there was no proper communication. Since the booking was still valid until the 25th and I had already paid for it, I decided to use the booking rather than simply waste my money. I’m not someone who can just throw away money like it means nothing. What disappointed me even more was being blamed afterward and being told that I should have informed the property that I decided to stay. From my perspective, I had already tried multiple ways to resolve the situation—messaging, calling, cancelling, and modifying the booking. I was simply trying to figure out what to do with a booking that I had already paid for and that was still valid. I understand that the property also needs to manage its bookings and prepare for guests, and I understand why the situation may have been frustrating for them. However, I also believe communication needs to work both ways. A faster and clearer response could have prevented the entire situation. I’m leaving this review because I hope the property can improve its communication, provide clearer check-in instructions, and handle misunderstandings with guests in a more professional and understanding way.

I booked this hotel with *********** and on the listing it said that the room offered AC, however when I got there not only did the manager inform me it did not have AC, he said he had never even heard of ***********. However, he was nice enough to very quickly upgrade us to a room with an AC for free, and the staff in general was very nice. My only complaint was the water pressure: I would have given this place a 5 star review but the shower had seriously the worst water pressure I’ve ever experienced.

В целом неплохо, но нас встретила очень недовольная женщина, которая даже не знала что кто-то будет заселяться и на какое время. Она сказала нам подождать 20 минут э, пока она помоет пол у нас в бунгало. Этот момент мне смутил, такое ощущение что в этом месте вообще никто никого не ждёт и не готовится перед заселением. Если говорить в общем то для первого раза на Пхангане неплохо, но за такие деньги можно найти что-то и получше
