After resigning, I wandered aimlessly, opening the Songyang website I'd saved for a long time. Before reaching my accommodation, I was in a daze. Arriving at the Songzhuang Village parking lot, I saw Lixia and her dog 123. It was like they were waiting for long-lost friends; there was no awkwardness, and we chatted naturally. When I got to the room, I saw the warm light that had been left on, and every detail made me feel comfortable. The bathroom was incredibly clean—a blessing for someone with OCD! The whole guesthouse felt like being at a friend's house, so I decided to stay a few more days. We drank tea, played cards, read books, and went for walks to stargaze. Lixia took me to Chenjiapu, saying it was her base. We also ate grass jelly in the old street, and Haibo's cooking was just as good as the online reviews said—I gained several pounds in just a few days… 123 is such a smart and well-behaved dog; it's hard not to like him. Happy times always pass too quickly. Next time, I definitely want to bring my girlfriend to Lixia and Hai's Crown Suite. I sincerely wish Lixia and Hai all the best! I fell in love with it after coming here once. A very primitive ancient village. I specially chose Ban Santingyu. His house is behind the ancient tree at the entrance of the village. It is very easy to find. I really made the right choice. The boss and the boss lady are very hospitable. On the first day, they helped us carry our luggage to the entrance of the village. The boss is a good cook. We had dinner at his house for two days. It was the first time for the children to stay in such an antique place. The small tables and chairs in the courtyard were gathered together. It was so nice to eat. We also ate watermelon in the yard at night. The happiness that city people can't experience! It's really comfortable in the mountains! In the evening, the boss drove us to the city to visit the ancient streets and the night park. Thanks to the boss and the boss lady for their hospitality! We had a amazing time here. We arrived by taxi in the village (which is beautiful) and got a beautiful room. The host and his family are really friendly. They showed us the surrounding and we ate together. In the area are a lot of beautiful old buildings and also some moderne buildings (tofu factory and rice wine factory). We felt like a part of the village and loved to stay here!

This is a good place to stay on the old street, if you want all the mod cons. Lovely balcony to sit out in the evening and our room had two large double beds which worked very well for a family. The Chinese breakfast is filling and we got a free lift up the mountain from the hotel. We would definitely stay again. Good restaurants on Xinhua Lu nearby.
