I visited the base camp a few years ago, and back then it was still just tents set up by Tibetans. Coming back this year, it far exceeded my expectations; the facilities have been greatly improved. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the County Government and the G318 National Highway terminus, a popular photo spot. Its underground parking lot is massive, which is a huge plus, especially since it's the only hotel in town with such ample subterranean parking. Check-in at the front desk was professional and efficient, and any issues encountered during our stay were resolved immediately. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The only minor issue was a leak from the shower partition that needs repairing. Overall, I highly recommend this as the best hotel in the area.
