Absolutely loved this hotel! It's so quiet, and the service is thoughtful without being intrusive, which really allowed me to mentally unwind. The 'morning coffee, evening alcohol' concept and the writer/reader-friendly environment completely exceeded my expectations! I'm already looking forward to staying at The Ideal State again on my next trip.

When traveling during the epidemic, I deliberately chose this hotel to stay away from noisy places. Just follow the navigation. I really like the rural atmosphere here. You can live from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation conditions are also good, the hygiene is quite clean, and the things are also good. It’s very new. The boss and the wife are very enthusiastic. I told the boss in advance that we can have breakfast in the morning. We had a sumptuous lunch at an acceptable price. We went to climb the Great Wall before dawn. I heard from the boss that the red leaves on the Great Wall are still there. There is no discoloration. It will be more beautiful after October. I can recommend friends who love photography to come with me next time😃

The owner and all the staff were very kind. The property is next to the park entrance gates, which is very convenient for watching the sunrise and sunset over the Great Wall of China. The owner also offers a transfer service to and from Gubeikou Station. The rooms are comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this property if you're visiting the Great Wall of China!

第一次來金山嶺長城就選擇了建國農家院，非常方便車可以開到家門口，離檢票口很近走路大概兩分鐘，房間乾淨整潔飯菜美味可口，老闆熱情好客，給我們講解遊覽路線，在哪裡看日出日落，還會幫忙購票，總之非常推薦這家👍👍👍👍

The room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

The hardware facilities are very good, very new, breakfast is very comfortable, it is the hotel's own meat buns, pies, not frozen, millet porridge, eggs, steamed Beibei pumpkin and sweet potatoes, small pickles are also delicious. There are many rooms in this homestay, and the decoration is very good. There are not many guests, so there are fewer waiters. I hope more people know this hotel. The price is very high. Although it is Hebei, it is very close to Gubei Water Town.

It's really close to the entrance of the scenic area. The location is ideal. There aren't many dining options in the immediate area, but the accommodation prepares delicious homemade food and they are very accommodating to guests' needs, both in terms of what to eat and the timings, etc. They were always very friendly. The only downside for me was that my room had windows facing an inner courtyard, so I could hear noise from the dining room and didn't have any views. I kept the curtain closed for privacy. However, this can surely be resolved by booking a different room. The facilities are very comfortable (beds, bathroom, shower, etc.). I totally recommend it.

A few minutes walk from the ticket gate, it is very convenient to take pictures of the sunrise on the Great Wall in the morning; the owner and his wife who love photography are open-minded and can reflect their consideration of guests from a small number of details.

The room was simple but clean. It didn’t face the outside but the dinner veranda area, so if you are every sensible to noise while sleeping not ideal. I slept super good no issues. The owner/ manager was nice and welcoming. Food is ok, a bit oily but good. Amenities where a bit scarse, no towel, only a reusable one which is not enough for a shower. Overall is a good price for location hotel.

Very comfortable, the price is very affordable, but the environment is very high-end!
