2-Star Hotels in Danba

Taking advantage of the fewer crowds before the May Day holiday, we planned our trip to Zhonglu ******* Village and found this guesthouse to be incredibly comfortable. We arrived from Chengdu in the evening, and the owner was very welcoming and arranged our accommodations perfectly. The third floor of the guesthouse has a spacious viewing platform where you can enjoy a whole expanse of starry sky all to yourself; the fourth floor faces Mount Mordo directly, offering a superb view! We were well taken care of as a group of two; the owner proactively asked about our needs and even recommended we try the local butter tea at breakfast. We stayed with friends at this wonderful hotel and were satisfied! The rooms are cozy, clean, there is a stunning view of nature around, and the price is very pleasant. The interior of the hotel is decorated in a traditional style, which allows you to feel immersed in the local culture. In addition, the hosts are an incredibly friendly family that creates a truly homely atmosphere. They are very nice, cook delicious food and apples grow in their garden, which they treat the guests with! The owners are also very responsive - when I forgot the cape, they brought it to me in Danba, while again treating me to delicious fruits. Special thanks for the help with transportation and willingness to help with any questions that arise! If I have the opportunity to return to the neighborhood, I will choose this hotel!

In the past two years, more and more homestays have sprung up in the village, and the facilities and environment have improved. It's very comfortable to have tea in the courtyard during the day and stroll around the village. Parking is convenient in the courtyard, and the roads up and down the mountain are in good condition. There are no charging stations in the courtyard, but nearby homestays have them (slow charging), so it's easy to get there. The owners are very welcoming, and the food is good. The room we booked was large with a great ceiling, but that's also the problem. The room only had air conditioning for heating, and even with the air conditioning on early, the room was still very cold. There was an electric blanket for sleeping, though. Everything else was quite nice.

The owners are kind and hospitable. We arrived at the foot of the mountain after dark, and not being familiar with the roads, we were afraid to walk on the mountain paths. We called the owners, and they came down the mountain to drive us to the hotel. The next day, they even offered to drive our car down for us again. We are so grateful! The entire guesthouse is clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view.

The location is great, convenient for visiting Jiaju ******* Village. The B&B is spacious, with a large courtyard and a large second-floor sun terrace. The decor is Tibetan-style, and they offer delicious food. The rooms are also quite large, with plenty of hot water. The owner was very helpful, and we had delicious butter tea. Our car had some problems along the way, so we asked the owner for help. He was very helpful and brought a group of people to help us lift the car. It was truly touching!

The Jipo Shangmo Hotel in Danba is a tastefully decorated establishment that seamlessly blends ******* and modern design elements. It's immediately clear that the owner has poured their heart into running it. Speaking of facilities, the hotel features a charming courtyard. It's beautifully elegant, brimming with fresh flowers and succulents, creating an enchanting and tranquil environment perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. Adding to its unique charm, the courtyard houses an ancient watchtower alongside a Tibetan-style building, giving the hotel a profound sense of history and cultural heritage. The hotel offers two room styles: one is traditionally *******, rich in local aesthetics, and the other is modern, sleek, and contemporary. Our modern room was not only spacious and beautifully designed but also featured a balcony. What truly excited us was witnessing a wild pheasant and its chicks strolling on the balcony late one night – a truly unforgettable moment! I must also commend the hotel's kitchen; it's incredibly spacious and, more importantly, impeccably clean and tidy. I even felt compelled to take a photo! On the service front, the owner's family was incredibly warm and hospitable, providing impeccable service. We arrived at 9:40 PM last night, and the owner was already waiting for us at the entrance, helped us park, and even kindly upgraded both of our rooms. Despite our late arrival, the owner's wife prepared a delicious meal for us. Her cooking was absolutely superb and very reasonably priced – truly great value for money! Today at lunch, she even specially made us a complimentary bowl of spicy noodles. It was not only free but also incredibly delicious; we finished every last bite! In summary, our entire family was exceptionally pleased with our stay at the Jipo Shangmo Hotel. Should we have the opportunity to visit Danba County again, we would undoubtedly choose this hotel once more.

The entrance to the accommodation is quite mysterious and would be difficult. Fortunately, we rented a car and the driver was able to take us to our accommodation at almost 8 p.m. Even though it was daytime it was difficult. Because there is no sign pointing the way to the accommodation. And the door through to the accommodation is often closed to the point where it is uncertain whether or not you can enter or not. The road up the mountain is narrow. If you're not brave enough, you might be intimidated by the entrance to your accommodation. But the accommodation has a good a**osphere, quiet, beautiful view. Back garden with beautiful trees and flowers The mattress is electrically heated. The restaurant is nice and clean. What I really like is the view on the rooftop, which has a beautiful private corner in March. Prairie flowers bloom around the village. Accommodation is in *****Jiaju village. The accommodation can see the village but cannot walk, the air is thin, walking is tiring. You can see the village***** in the middle of the road from the accommodation. But high at the top of the mountain You have to take a car to get there. It looks easy, but it's not easy if you don't rent a car. It is recommended that renting a car is very convenient because the tourist areas are large and all beautiful.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the hostess kept it immaculately organized. The appliances were all new and easy to use. The entire building was constructed in the traditional ******* style, preserving the original character of the old building. At the same time, the interior design meets modern living needs. For those seeking a traditional ******* experience, this is the place to go! The B&B is perfectly situated, nestled in the upper part of the village, right next to the watchtowers and temple. In the mornings, standing on the rooftop and gazing out over the surrounding landscape, the ******* houses dotted around the surrounding mountains create a picturesque scene! The host and his wife are incredibly welcoming. Staying here allows you to experience the warmth and joy of a ******* family. Part of the meaning of travel is experiencing local customs and people. This B&B left a lasting impression on me!

We had the most pleasant stay here. The guesthouse was a little hard to find in the dark, so the owner came outside to the parking to pick us up and even carried my bag. He was very welcoming, considerate and helpful during our stay. We had everything we needed, the room was beautifully decorated and clean. The provided traditional breakfast was outstanding (corn bread, rice porridge, cooked eggplant, cucumber salad and sour cabbage)! Most of the ingredients come fresh out of the garden. There is also a menu with many other delicious dishes that you can order for lunch and dinner. When we left, the owner organized the transport for us back to Danba and took us to the ”station”. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful guesthouse and gorgeous little town Jiaju!
