"The hotel is in a lovely location and the beach is fabulous. The hotel is beautiful but is let down by the food and service . We booked as a family and this hotel lends itself for couples . The children’s pool was closed and the play area is quite dated . They advertised this when we booked which is not fair on families . The main pool is not family friendly at all . We went when the hotel had first opened and they had many problems and in my opinion shouldn’t have taken guests . It was somewhat chaotic regarding rooms not being equipped and the dinning area not really ready . Food is lukewarm and looking at previous trip advisor photos the food is nothing like we received . Found it difficult for young children to find something for them to eat. We found the entertainment to be ok but not child friendly , same as the bar staff as they were quite rude . They would serve other people and completely ignore you . Same on arrival some quests received drinks and we didn’t . The best staff member is the guy on the beach . We spent all holiday at the beach and ate out most nights ."

"Just returned after a two week stay at the Palm Beach hotel. A lovely beachfront property right in the centre of Stalis. Walk out the front door and you are in the middle of everything. Rooms are comfortable and are kept spotless with a daily clean. Bathrooms are a bit snug but, again, kept spotless and always hot water available. Free safes and air con. Air con was really effective and kept the room really cool. Stayed half board but only ate breakfast as there are so many great restaurants nearby. Breakfast selection was really varied and the breakfast terrace had a view to die for. Staff are so warm and friendly. Special shout out to Yiannis who manages the beach area and bar. Such a lovely, friendly guy who helps create a great vibe around the bar area. Met some lovely people from lots of different countries. Would definitely return."

"Stayed for a week in a family room. The room had a separate bedroom for us and 2 sofa beds for our teenagers in the other area. We arrived very late at night and were incredibly grateful to be met with kindness, our bags being carried to the room and a light meal. The room was dated but spotlessly clean - I couldn’t fault it at all, the cleaners came daily and it was well maintained. We were pleased to have air conditioning in both spaces and our room was convenient for the family pool. The pool area is a little tired and some of the sun beds need replacing. The family pool offers soft drinks you can serve yourself, beer and wine - if you want cocktails you have to go to the adult pool. This was not an issue for us and our children were happy with the snacks provided throughout the day. I found the bar tender at the pool bar could be grumpy one day and talk to you the next so it was a little frustrating. It is a light entertainment programme poolside with 2 young men running waterpolo and ping pong sessions during the day. I found it challenging to relax as one of them would sing along to their music on a mic at random intervals (a karaoke session for one ). I was also concerned by the uncensored songs they played at the pool area around very young children with explicit language and mature content. The restaurant and food were lovely. Everything was fresh with an abundance of variety available. I was pleased to see that everyday there were traditional Greek options available and that the food was regularly replaced and checked. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant manager Giorgios was dedicated to ensuring everyone was happy and that service ran smoothly. The evening entertainment was light - we liked this. There was a quiz one night, bingo and live Greek music with nice areas to sit in. I booked a treatment in the spa following a neck massage by the pool and had a wonderful massage from Mariela. She was very attentive and my back and shoulders felt amazing afterwards. The hotel has posters announcing that they are having a massive renovation over the winter and will return with a name change, more restaurant options and better pool facilities next season. I feel this is the action that is needed to reflect my thoughts on our holiday and I wish you all the best with this. We enjoyed our week together as a family and returned well rested for another school year ahead. Thank you!"

"This was a last minute booking to these apartments and I must say I have had an enjoyable stay. I arrived around midnight and there was a note on reception door explaining my room and how to get there. I was in room 3 on the third (top) floor. It has recently been refurbed except the fridge which is pretty old but works perfectly. I had a wonderful sleep on the fairly firm thick mattress. There was no balcony as such but I did put a chair on the main balcony in the evenings and took in the lovely scene. The pool is kept very clean and is refreshing to get in and cool down. The hosts were fantastic in that the couple of questions I had were answered and information all correct. I would not hesitate to return here ( Maybe later in the year) This is my first solo holiday and I felt so safe and welcome. Also the single supplement was not too much and very reasonable. The food is reasonably priced too! so don't pay too much attention to the bad reviews on this site as some people pay for this standard of appartment and expect first class! BTW there are no tv's in the room unless you book a suite ... but hey you don't come to Crete to watch telly! 😂"

"We've just arrived home after an amazing week here, I honestly can not fault this hotel at all, it's immaculately clean and cared for, nestled just off the road next to a mountain that we were lucky enough to see goats behind almost daily. The room that we had was absolutely massive with a separate living and bedroom with a full size balcony overlooking the sea. If steps are a problem for you there is a ramp and a lift into the main lobby. The staff are honestly the best group of people that are beyond friendly and helpful (especially George and Eirini, Stella and Manos) that make everyone feel instantly at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly (despite the sunbed wars) there's music in the background but it's never overwhelming. There is entertainment on on a few nights but if you're looking for something livelier just cross the road and your 2 mins away from the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Thank you for making our stay so special (the Champaign on arrival and cooling towels, aswell as the sandwiches, the bottles of wine in the room and the fruit platter is an amazing touch) Until we return we wish you all the best summer and please continue to smile every day Granville and Zoe"

"We didn't stay at the hotel but used there beach sunbeds nearly every day for 2 weeks. They were 20 euros for 2 sunbeds and a brolly and you can use there pool as well. Ate here every day too when we at the beach. Really good value and lovely food. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming"
