Maria Lambis Apartments

Just returned from these apartments. You couldn't ask for more, so peaceful, a 15 to 20 min walk to bars. A supermarket 2 mins away. There were 3 of us in 1 bedroom apartment, plenty of space for us. Housekeeper was so cheerful singing away, nice girl. Pool area is really nice, help yourself to a sunbed and chill. There's a bookcase there so you can help yourself to books. Girl on bar through the day was lovely and friendly. We had tuna sandwiches one day, very nice. Drinks a decent price. I could come back to these apartments on my own, it's that kind of place. Thank you for a lovely week, I just wish it was longer. There's no lift so if not mobile ask for low floor as a few stairs to go up. There could do with being more plug sockets, especially in kitchen area, we had to boil kettle on the floor.

The hotel is lovely and clean and we had a great room with a beatiful room with amazing views of the nearby mountains. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy but you only get one pillow so pack one if you are like me and need more. We paid for air con and a safe on arrival which was very useful but was also very expensive. Lovely welcome and sat in bar till 3pm till room was ready. The Negatives The Bar Very reasonably priced for a hotel bar. The female staff were lovely. Couldn't do enough for you. We even had snacks in bar area which were great for the price. There is a male bar person however, who, though pleasant enough, enjoys playing really depressing blues music. It sets a very miserable tone for your holiday! I mean like - very miserable whilst the young ladies play happy music. The Pool Its a lovely space with plenty of beds to help yourself too. The issue for us was two couples. They took over the place using huge inflatables whilst in the tiny pool. This left no space for anyone else and nodody challenged them. You could not get in the pool till they got out which was never. The pool is 1 meter deep at one end then suddenly drops to 2.80 meters deep very quickly. Its something people need to consider if taking kids. Check Out 10am - 10am - 10am!!!!! You will see plenty of signs everywhere reminding you of this. Our flight was at 01:30am the following day. We were not picked up for our transfer till after 9pm. THERE ARE NO SHOWERING FACILITIES FOR THESE CIRCUMSTANCES - OR AT LEAST THEY WERE NOT PROMOTED TO US ON CHECK OUT. If travelling with kids or like me, you are registered disabled, this leads to a very long, uncomfortable last day. We used the beach in the end. Thia is a very poor level of service. There is a toilet with one sink if you do not mind cauaing a queue to stay clean. STAR OF OUR STAY This was our housekeeper! Could not do enough for us. We kept the place clean but she popped in and made the beds and gave us fresh towels. She was always singing and has a lovely voice which made me smile lots. Overall, this place is ok. Reasonably priced for the standard it is, however, when you add the extras on at check in for a more comfortable stay, it becomes quite pricey. All the female staff were so welcoming but the male bar man really needs to consider the fact that its not his holiday and his choice of music could be emptying the bar rather than filling it!

Arrived very late and immediately felt I was an inconvenience to the barman who does late check-in....got a drink at bar before going to room as didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with him as we were staying for 3 weeks ....in the morning we went onto our balcony and were greeted by an 8 foot concrete wall to the front and a barbed wire fence to the side ...took 5 days to change rooms ..nadya the girl who worked during the day was fantastic at her job but guy at night was a hit and a miss so we stopped going to bar at night as he was to busy on his phone...apart from the negatively the hotel is clean and in a nice location

Never been before but will come again. Clean, spacious, quiet, and pleasant helpful staff. Set up from the road and perfectly positioned to the south of the resort... Great room with large lounge/small kitchen area, good shower and toilet and large bedroom and Balcony.Was at the very back of the apartment blocks, and there were a lot of steps leading to it. It wasn't a problem for me, but could be for others I guess..... So well worth a stay here and recommend. One improvement they may consider is to supply toppers for the sunbeds.....

On arrival we were made to feel very welcome, immediately we realised the hotel was set far enough back from the main road as not to hear any traffic. It is very well presented and all the staff are very pleasant. As we were taken to our room, the only gripe I had was the many steps leading to it. Having arthritic knees made it quite difficult. The room was very clean and a good size. I'd question slightly the 'self catering' element of the room, as there's only a two ring electric hob to cook on. No microwave or toaster. On the whole, and despite my little gripes, it's a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing, particularly the best Albanian bar-man in Crete, Genzy..

Our experience of Maria Lambis was really good. Location is in a quiet spot, up a lane off the main road. You cannot hear the road from the hotel. Maria and lambis are the perfect hosts and take great pride in their beautiful hotel, which is spotlesslyclean. I observed maria always mopping the outside area as we had torrential rain. Lambis showed up to our room which appeared to be an apartment. The bathroom was very modern. There was a coffee maker and kettle and a 2 ring hob. And enough cutlery etc for 4 ppl. No toaster, oven or TV. Beds in the bedroom are quite hard but softer in the living area. Lots of storage space and hangers. Our balcony faced the hills. The bar was stocked well and we enjoyed some cocktails. In the evening it was really mellow with low lighting. The pool was spotless...from shallow to very deep. The cleaners are very pleasant wishing us a safe trip home. Im so glad we chose the maria lambis in stalis for our 2 night stay unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side but that didnt take away from enjoying this property and stalis. Highly recommend Lychnostatis museum. The village bar and Lambros restaurant.

The apartment is very basic, but it’s fine. Very good bathroom, with a good shower! Could be cleaner, but i’ve seen a lot worse. The bed was not very comfortable, but can be much worse. I asked for more pillows, cause they were small, this was no problem, i got them right away. It might be a good idea to bring an extension cord, because there are not much plugs. Also i missed a scissors, and a towel to dry the dishes, but you can buy those in the shops that are everywhere. The staff is nice and friendly, but we weren’t around a lot. Swimmingpool is not big, but satisfying. We had a great time. It is not the most expensive apartment after all, so be realistic.

Brilliant location. apartments very spacious and clean, cleaners every other day . Could have more plugs, no sockets for hairdryer in bedroom and a toaster in kitchen area would be a good addition. Pool great and staff lovely ,Vicky really nice and helpful ,check in fantastic with the greeting from Genxi (also bar man) who just made our holiday the craic was brilliant with his banter and is a great asset to the family run business. Nadia is just a great girl so friendly and helpful. Checkout with lambis was very cold and he seemed to only be concerned that we paid our bar bill , no thankyou for your custom or ask if we enjoyed our first stay at his apartments . Big shout out to brilliant Scottish and English friends we met who also made our holiday special. Will be back next year for sure

We had an amazing time. The apartment was clean. A big shout to our cleaner who works so hard. Nanda is a lovely person. Vicky is friendly and helpful. Genxi is a wonderful, funny, helpful and friendly human being. Genxi made our holiday. I can’t thank him enough for being so nice to us. Lovely mix of nationalities. Big hugs to our Irish friends. Can’t praise Genxi enough, what a hard worker he is. 😄😄😄😄😄😄
