We wanted a hotel on an island with walking distance to a beach and selected Hilton Sesoko Resort as we wanted to explore the Northern region. Room and service were excellent!
Love the cosy room that came with a balcony and sea view, spaciousness for our luggages and large bathroom that is separated from the toilet and comes with standing shower and a bathtub.

The beach is good for taking photos, but not for swimming. It is worth staying for four nights... The only thing I don't understand is that it is very difficult to reply to the hotel's emails. Compared with the other two hotels, the emails are replied in seconds. The English communication is not smooth. The email method should be better, so I don't understand...

AAnonymous UserFirst impression of the lobby is grand yet intimate. They escort you to a table and bring a welcome drink while checking you in. The rooms are large with a wonderful view. The rooms look just like the photos. Breakfasts are great, they make Eggs Benedict every morning. One day there was mango juice. Green smoothie every day. You can also get soba noodles cooked. You can even exchange breakfast for lunch at the hotel next door, and use their larger pools there. The room description mentioned a sea view, but on the third floor, a triangular roof slightly obstructs it, though the view is still incredible.

YYan ReevesWe had spent 4 nights at the hotel during the Golden Week which might have influenced the perception of service, but not dramatically.
Among the advantages of the hotel are: nice spacious rooms (ours had a stunning sea view); generally good location with beautiful nature and access to the beaches where you could actually swim (not a given on the island) - at least until the tide goes too low; reasonably good food across the restaurants with rather friendly prices; stylish bar with quality drinks.
Among the disadvantages are: very non-Japanese service (generally not very helpful, with low penetration of English among the staff) and lack of attention to detail that could make the resort actually very nice - again, not very typical case for Japan.
A few pieces of advice to the management:
1. Bring the option of in-room breakfast. If a guest is sick and can’t go down, it’s impossible to order in-room breakfast on the day, while rooms service opens at 11:30. Same frustration goes to the coffee stall downstairs that doesn’t serve coffee during earlier breakfast hours
2. Consider equipping rooms with coffee machines and contemporary electronics - low costs to take, yet massive disadvantage for the 5* status for not having them
3. Pay more attention to room service: we spent 48h without shampoo and shower gel. Our glasses were washed occasionally. New bottles of drinking water arrived only once.
4. Fix the beach! The amenities there look like a poor community beach area, especially those shameful umbrellas. You have reasonable amenities at the pool - why not spreading them to the beach areas to make them feel more like a resort rather than public beaches that no one gave any care?
5. Gym and SPA amenities could use a bit of refreshment. I won’t mention SPA service itself which might be a result of poor luck with the specific technician
6. Empty mini bar equals lost revenue. You could easily cover the modifications above through adding more options for people to enjoy drinks at their balconies.
What makes staying in Japan truly special - genuine care and attention to every detail - was completely missing over our stay at this Hyatt. In fact, we consistently had that feeling “this could actually be really nice” and then something would go terribly wrong with the awkward service. The hotel that looks like 5* on pictures leaves a 3* aftertaste at max. I am only writing this because I felt it didn’t have to - those are easy aspects to fix.

Firstly, the location of the resort is not great, it’s on a loud highway which makes noise an issue but also makes it extremely difficult to navigate as you can’t turn right across the large highway. We treated ourselves to the buffet one morning and wish we didn’t, there was limited selections for food and the sashimi was far from fresh. We were given a table reservation card and once sat down with our food were asked to move by the staff so another guest could have our table? Very odd and once questioned the staff changed their tune and no longer wanted to move us - seemed the other guest was getting preferential treatment. Parking was also paid which was not clear on the initial listing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was only cleaned on one day, beds were not even made and rubbish wasn’t taken out - very strange for a 5 star. We only realised staff had been in because toilet paper had been replenished. I was very excited for this stay and was a bit let down, views are nice though!

For lunch, I had a light lunch with the hotel's private beer and spent a relaxing time. I was happy to have red wine at cocktail time this year. The dinner was also great. The attentiveness of the staff is very good. I want to go again next year.

The only drawback was the discrepancy in the service... the staff treated locals and foreigners differently! My family of three wanted to have breakfast, and there was an empty table with a beautiful view by the window. We politely asked if we could sit there, and the waiter said it required six people! He then led us to a table in the very back corner. However, about 15 minutes later, two locals came in and immediately led us to the six-person table we had originally wanted to sit at!!! Three people couldn't sit there, but two could?? This is clearly differential treatment between foreigners and locals!!

JJingziwuliuqiThe hotel grounds are huge and very beautiful. I booked a twin room, but the empty space wasn't very large. I had to push the two beds together to make enough room to open my suitcase. However, the room facilities were very comprehensive: a large balcony with two chairs and a table. The bathroom was spacious, with both a bathtub and a shower. The hotel shop sells diapers, so if you're traveling with a baby, you don't need to go out to buy them. I particularly want to praise the sea area; the water was shallow in the afternoon, and I swam around within the safe zone, encountering six different types of fish, which was fantastic. The hotel has many steps, but also plenty of ramps and elevators, making it suitable for strollers. Beach loungers are paid for by the full day or afternoon; there's no option for just the morning. The laundry room was a letdown, though. While there were many washing machines and dryers, they were quite old, and about a quarter of them were out of order.

All the staff at your hotel are exceptionally friendly and eager to assist. Whether at the front desk, restaurant, or cleaning team, every colleague is impeccably polite. Even though our Japanese is nonexistent, the staff patiently communicated with us in English, which truly touched our hearts.
This time, I successfully proposed to my girlfriend right here at your hotel—sincere thanks to your hotel for creating such unforgettable and beautiful memories for us. Additionally, we absolutely loved playing with the parrot in the hotel’s basement; it’s so adorable and fun! We hope to see it again next time and have more joyful playtime with it.
We look forward to the opportunity to return in the future and share more warm moments together.

VVets123It was a pleasant stay with ANA. The beach , swimming pool facilities are excellent. It would have been better if they extend the opening hours of the pool, they are only open until 6.
They also have a bouncy castle slides at the beach but it costs 4000 yen for adult or child. A bit overpriced I think for child.
The breakfast is good but the hotel is a bit old but acceptable. If u r looking for a not super fancy stay, this hotel is a good choice.
