"Interesting location across a long bridge on its own little island. We used the spa facitlities and had a wonderful massage from local Okinawa massuese. So nice we could share the room together and have two massages at the same time in our choice of ginger oils. The hotel staff were very accomodating and welcoming. Room was larger than expected and very nicely appointed. Highly recommend. Parking was free for joining Hilton group, a nice bonus. Be prepared for rain in June - it really poured down but didnt bother us as we went to the nearby Aquarium, an indoor activity."

When you stay at Halekulani Okinawa in Onna, you'll be by the ocean, within a 15-minute drive of Kariyushi Beach and Manza Park. This beach hotel is 6 mi (9.7 km) from Manza Beach and 22.1 mi (35.6 km) from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Pamper yourself with onsite body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as an indoor pool, an outdoor tennis court, and a fitness center. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and babysitting (surcharge). Grab a bite at SHIROUX, one of the hotel's 4 restaurants, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Relax with a refreshing drink from the bar/lounge or one of the 2 poolside bars. Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to noon for a fee. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Make yourself at home in one of the 360 guestrooms featuring refrigerators and flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and satellite programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers with rainfall showerheads and complimentary toiletries. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

"A Forbes five-star luxury resort. All rooms feature extra-large sea view balconies, and the terrace bathtub offers stunning sunset views. The private beach and infinity pool are perfect for photos. Breakfast ingredients are fresh, and the service is meticulous, making it ideal for a relaxing, do-nothing vacation. Downsides: It's far from the city center, so renting a car for your entire stay is recommended. The resort grounds are relatively small with limited activities. The kids' club has age restrictions, so for children under three, there's not much to do besides playing in the pool."

We had a wonderful stay at PGM! The staff were incredibly nice, professional, and always eager to help. While the breakfast buffet didn't have a massive selection, every single dish was beautifully prepared, high quality, and absolutely yummy. The entire environment is so relaxing, making it the perfect getaway. We also loved both the indoor and outdoor pools—they are clean, modern, very comfortable, and paired with excellent facilities. Highly recommended!

First impression of the lobby is grand yet intimate. They escort you to a table and bring a welcome drink while checking you in. The rooms are large with a wonderful view. The rooms look just like the photos. Breakfasts are great, they make Eggs Benedict every morning. One day there was mango juice. Green smoothie every day. You can also get soba noodles cooked. You can even exchange breakfast for lunch at the hotel next door, and use their larger pools there. The room description mentioned a sea view, but on the third floor, a triangular roof slightly obstructs it, though the view is still incredible.

This hotel just recently opened and is ideally located in Onna Village. However, it's situated on a hillside, so getting around without a car might be a bit challenging due to the inclines. The lounge and both the indoor and outdoor pools are big pluses. I stayed for two days but didn't get a chance to use the lounge, mainly because it was always too crowded with too few seats.

The biggest selling point of this hotel is the spacious rooms, which feel more like apartments with pots and pans for cooking. However, I think it falls short compared to high-end chain hotels. At 3600 a night, I'd say the value for money is extremely low. The hotel is located on a hillside, which makes getting around quite inconvenient. If you're traveling with kids and want to enjoy the beach, the hotel does offer a shuttle service, but there are many beachfront hotels further down that would be more convenient. The breakfast is Japanese-style, and there aren't many options. If you're not a fan of Japanese food, you'll find very little to choose from.

Very good hotel that can sleep 4 comfortably. Was very clean, very close, 5 mins walk to some food outlets e.g. Gongcha, potama sandwich etc. We took the free shuttle bus to Bise-fukugi tree road (keep walking till you reach the beach and timed to arrive before sunset to see the beautiful sky). Breakfast spread was very good. This is a hotel that i would recommend to family and friends.

This hotel is split into two buildings: a hotel wing and an apartment wing. The hotel wing boasts incredibly spacious balconies, which is a huge plus! Even though the weather wasn't great, the sea view from the room directly overlooked a stunning 'glass sea,' which was absolutely delightful. While some facilities are a bit dated, they are very well-maintained and you'll find everything you need. The decor has a strong Southeast Asian resort vibe, truly enhancing the vacation experience. You can book the airport limousine bus through the hotel's front desk; they only accept cash, but it's very convenient. The bus arrives punctually at the main hotel lobby. The breakfast selection on the first floor is limited but sufficient for basic needs, and they even serve alcohol!

Outstanding Family Resort Experience We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this resort to families visiting Okinawa. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our holiday memorable. One of the best decisions we made was purchasing the Savvy Club package. It offered excellent value through discounts on restaurants and activities, and an added bonus was that lunch and dinner were complimentary for children under 12. For families, this made a significant difference and enhanced the overall experience. The range of activities available was truly impressive. Beyond the usual water sports, there were opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and unique marine life programs. Our children especially loved the experiences with the sea turtles and dolphins, which became the highlight of the trip and created memories they will talk about for years to come. Swimming with the dolphins was particularly special and an experience we will never forget. Another standout feature was the indoor water park. It was a huge hit with our children and provided the perfect alternative when the weather was either rainy or simply too hot to be outdoors. Having such a high-quality indoor facility meant there was always something fun for the kids to do regardless of the conditions. What stood out most was the level of care shown by the staff. As we had a very early flight on our departure day, we informed the hotel that we would be checking out before breakfast service started. Without hesitation, they kindly prepared breakfast bento boxes for our family to take with us. It was a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflected the hotel’s exceptional hospitality. From the facilities and activities to the outstanding service, this was one of our favourite family holidays. The children are already asking when we can come back, which says it all.

The structure of the hotel is old, but the rooms have been updated and were very comfortable and new. I absolutely loved the retro charm of the place and the common areas such as the atrium pool and inside courtyard area were beautiful spaces. What the marketing doesn’t show is the vast open spaces at this hotel, the stunning landscaped gardens and the art-spaces such as artist in residence and exhibition space. I was blown away by this and enjoy a fantastic painting workshop with the artist who focuses on the local flora and fauna of Okinawa. The best point about this hotel is the staff. They are all incredibly lovely. Lisa and another lady name starting with H on front desk especially were so amazing, very helpful! One night there was an error with our dinner and the chef personally came to apologise. He replaced our meal with a local menu which was incredible and after eating he said the bill was on him as a gesture of apology. I was truly touched by this gesture of kindness. Areas for improvement: the kitchen being closed outside of designated times. If you want food at 10am for example, no chance. Also nowhere to buy drinks near the pool and beach. Food options are not great and the buffet is really mediocre. Also, I would expect their approach to sustainability to be better on an island like this. There is an overuse of plastic, especially single use such as straws and each tiny piece of cake at the buffet being individually wrapped. Really no need for that. I do worry where all this plastic is going. Beach is smaller than it looks. Can’t swim, very shallow full of seaweed and dead coral. Very quiet. Very strict lifeguard: no throwing a ball, no jumping, splashing, laughing it seems. We were using an empty bottle to collect water and build a sandcastle -he removed it. No standing on inflatables. No swimming outside of the fenced off area. From what I’ve seen this is an island-wide thing though, not limited to here. Local area: really not much to see and do outside of the hotel.

I saw reviews mentioning the North Building being older, but my stay there this time completely changed my mind. The facilities are well-maintained, and the room was quite spacious, with plenty of room in the bathroom, bedroom, and balcony! The breakfast selection was relatively limited, and the dishes didn't change much over my two-day stay, but it was acceptable. The hotel is very close to the beach; you step right out onto it, and the sea view is perfect. The water is clear, and the swimming area is open until 5:30 PM, after which swimming is not allowed. To use amenities like beach chairs, golf, water kayaking, and the sauna (seven or eight items in total), you need to purchase a pass at check-in, which then grants free use. Other water activities like snorkeling require an extra fee (you can rent life jackets, goggles, and snorkels to snorkel independently in the hotel's sea area, and there are quite a few small fish near the reefs). Notably, the hotel's seaside boardwalk is beautiful! Few people venture there, especially at sunset, when the scenery is absolutely stunning. The maga zip line charges hotel guests the same as other visitors, which is interesting. It's definitely worth trying.

The ultimate choice in Okinawa! Stunning beach, caves, and perfect family vibe Our second room was just as wonderful. If you are looking to stay on the main island of Okinawa without taking extra flights to outer islands like Ishigaki, this is hands down the best hotel for a family vacation with kids. What we absolutely loved: * Stunning beach and nature: The beach is perfect and super safe for children. There is an incredibly beautiful, winding path along the shore. The rocky coastline, scenic caves, and lush tropical plants make walking around a magical experience. * A winning hotel chain: We highly recommend combining your trip with their sister property. If you do travel to Ishigaki, stay at ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort—it is easily one of the finest hotels on that island. Both resorts represent the absolute top tier of hospitality. * Flawless service despite flight issues: Our only complaint about the entire trip goes to ANA Airlines, as our return flight to Tokyo was delayed by 8 hours, which was quite exhausting. However, this is strictly an airline issue. It has nothing to do with the hotels themselves and their wonderful, dedicated staff who did an impeccable job. The local Okinawans at the resort are the sweetest and most welcoming people. Between the brilliant service, incredible nature, and great facilities, this was a dream vacation!
