This is a shocking villa hotel very close to the stone city. The villa has two oversized cedars. The couple runs it. The people are very good. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Hotel La Mère Germaine is a true treasure. Located in the heart of the village, it’s the perfect base for exploring local vineyards like Brotte. The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort. We loved the elegant decor and the warm, professional service. Waking up in such a legendary culinary landmark made our stay in Provence truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

The environment is beautiful, the service is not bad, there is a free SPA, but we are useless. It is to eat in the countryside that can be solved in the hotel. There is a cooperative restaurant on the side that is not bad.

The hotel is located directly opposite the old town, making it very convenient for exploring. There's an underground car park with plenty of spaces, costing 14 Euros for 24 hours, and it felt very secure. We stayed in an executive room, but it was a bit small – actually the smallest room we've had on this European trip. A pleasant surprise was that they provided disposable slippers, which was the only time we encountered that in Europe. On each floor, near the elevator, there's a water dispenser with ice water, so the hotel doesn't provide bottled water in the rooms. There was air conditioning in the room, but it wasn't very effective; even on the lowest setting, it didn't cool much. What was a bit frustrating was that the cleaning lady, thinking we had it too low, adjusted the AC to 27 degrees Celsius on a low fan setting right in front of us. This was a bit ridiculous, especially since it was already 39 degrees outside – it was really hot! There aren't many restaurants, shops, or supermarkets around Novotel Avignon Centre itself. However, because it's so close to the old town, everything can be found there. In the old town, there are two large supermarkets, Carrefour and Monoprix. Monoprix is closed on Sundays, but Carrefour is open every day.
