"Facilities: A beautiful hotel with pretty much everything you need. However, the shower pressure was very low, and if turned up to max, the water was scalding hot, making it impossible to shower. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The overall hotel environment is excellent, with its own private beach. Plus, the hotel offers direct access to Xcaret Park – you can walk in in just 5 minutes, as there are two entrances: one from the beach and one near the lobby. Very convenient. Service: All the staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. We visited two parks, and the hotel package only included Xcaret tickets. I highly recommend Xplor, but you'll need to buy tickets at the ticketing office across from the lobby. The park has a lot of small animals, especially monkeys. One afternoon, I was taking a nap and was actually woken up by a monkey tapping on my window! I'd definitely go back again!"

"I stay in a lot of hotels and most don’t do enough to earn a bad or a good review they are just so-so. This place is different- I loved it and so did all the family. We were given two Butlers (one off when the other is on), normally I find this a gimmick but here they were invaluable. They helped book trips, restaurants, nothing was too much for them - Alfonso and Gilberto take a bow. Then there was Montserrat on the front desk who I am sure did a lot more besides that, if I could I would have taken her back to the Uk and given her a job; my wife can be fussy so we changed rooms a lot on the first day or so but Montse had no problems with helping and was A++++. The rooms were great, clean, new and we heard no noise. It is a peaceful place and even my kids who are young boys were very happy. The waiters and waitresses were great, remembered you at breakfast and everything was easy as you want it to be when on holiday. I have had problems with the Hyatt as a group before (this is a Hyatt hotel) mainly with loyalty where your status should guarantee you a room with I think 72 hours notice but on two recent occasions they refused to honour their promise and indeed when I emailed them with specific dates and the hotels involved (Budapest and Mexico) I was ignored with no email response, so I am not a lover of the brand but I do love this hotel. Do not let the ownership group put you off this hotel, if you want to relax, see some nature, swim and not have the flotsam and jetsam of society thrown into your hotel when you are there, then stay at this place, you will certainly feel like you have had a rest. Breakfast is fantastic, food is good, people are nice, other guests all very easy and you will feel relaxed at the end of your stay and not wanting it to end - if a hotel can achieve this then they have done their job so so well. Thank you guys we loved it."

They also speak the best English among the Ten Days Inn in Mexico."

"On the morning of November 14th, I left the Maya Riviera Hotel. Upon checking out, I discovered that approximately $300 was missing from my wallet. Here's what happened: I took a taxi to the hotel and paid the fare in US dollars, so I remembered having several hundred dollars in my wallet. The hotel was all-inclusive, so I didn't make any cash purchases during my stay. When I left the hotel to go to the airport that morning, I wanted to have US dollars in cash ready beforehand, but when I opened my wallet, I found I only had thirty dollars left. During my stay, my wallet was in my bag, which was on the table in my hotel room. Only the housekeeping staff could enter my room and take the dollars from my wallet. Because I had to catch my flight that morning, I didn't have time to report it to the police after noticing the incident with the hotel staff. It's important to be careful with your belongings and personal safety when traveling to Mexico."

We were a little worried about the noise because of what we had read in other reviews, but honestly, we didn’t find it noisy at all. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The lobby is quite small, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, the hotel offers great value for the price and we would definitely recommend it."
