"The location is right next to the port, very convenient for restaurants at the port, and most importantly for the main bus station to the beaches. While it is central still quiet atmosphere. The breakfast was really good, warm bougatsa and spianch roll, and many more alternatives for desserts and hot meal. The view of the terrace is perfect. The rooms are with balconies, it is convenient to hang swimsuits and towels. The lady at the reception (could be the hotel manager) was very welcoming, all the staff has very positive attitude. The next time to Skiatos, I would prefer this hotel again."

"Fabulous weeks stay. The owner is so friendly and wants to ensure your stay is made special. Recommends places to visit on the Island and excellent authentic local restaurants. The views from the hotel are to die for. Rooms are cleaned each day. The pool area is always clean. We can't thank Alexandra enough who served breakfast, she was so accommodating. Breakfast was value for money and delicious. Just over 10 minutes walk to Skiathos town and a 5 minute walk to the local beach. The bus service is really good, we were on bus stop 5. Such a pretty Island, we will come back again. Thank you, Helen & Rich."

"We had a lovely week away in one of the ground floor rooms near pool. The staff were all amazing which is a credit for Radisson Blu resorts, especially Maria, Demi and Ali although we thought they were all professional and kind. It was not corporate, had a really laid back feel and the beach and local restaurants were not too far away, plus you could catch a ferry over to the old town very easily at the main beach. We were sad to leave!"

"Visited Anthena Studios for the 6th time, and it was every bit as good as the previous stays It is ideally placed in Skiathos Town, just off the main street in a quiet area, and the studios are fully equipped with a kettle, coffee percolator, a hob and a fridge The beds are very comfortable, the shower has great pressure and the rooms are cleaned to a very high standard along with the rest of the building. It is absolutely spotless There is a pool at the rear which is a nice size and there are sunbeds, deckchairs and tables and chairs and a bar The owners, Stavros and Rania are wonderful, friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They give great advice on the area and beaches, which is ideal for anyone visiting the island for the 1st time I would recommend Anthena Studios when visiting Skiathos"

"My wife and I are on our honeymoon and we got stuck in Santorini after our flight was cancelled. We informed the hotel and they said they would get back to us with information. They never did. We called again and asked to talk to a manger but the man on the phone refused to help. They happily took our money when it was not possible to physically be there and have cited their cancellation policy which requires 14 days notice. Unfortunately the airline doesn’t give us 14 days notice. They need to be more professional with their customer service and perhaps review their policy for extenuating circumstances. "

Skiathos Palace Hotel ★★★★

"We stayed at Skiathos Palace hotel in June for our 11th wedding anniversary. It was advertised as a 4 star hotel by our providers so were shocked when we were told we had to pay 105e at the end of the stay. That said, our first impressions were 'wow'. It has beautiful views and the entrance into the hotel is beautiful, clean and airy. The reception staff explained things to us such as booking the shuttle bus etc... and showed us to our room. Our room was clean and had air con included. Generally, the hotel was very clean and has some fabulous views. The food at the poolside is pretty good too. Breakfast was the same as you would get in most hotels which have breakfast included and this leads me up to the negative. When you come up for breakfast, there would be towels already on the sunloungers. We didn't want to be that person so we would have breakfast first but that meant not once in the 7 days were we able to get a sunlounger by the pool; we just wanted 1 day to chill at the hotel. We paid extra for a sea view room not realising that the majority of the rooms are sea view anyway. We used to get woken up by the resident geese which at first annoyed me but then became a concern if we hadn't heard from them! There are steep steps and a hill to get upto the hotel and there is a mini shop too but it really is small. All in all, it is a beautiful hotel, beautiful views and is very clean."
