Skiathos Thalassa, Philian Hotels and Resorts

Love this hotel collection . This was our second visit and definitely won’t be our last. Fantastic location on Megali Ammo’s beach. The rooms are lovely , toiletries & coffee making facilities , beds very comfortable , rooms cleaned and towels changed every day .Breakfast is served in the Achinos Seaside bar and Restaurant it’s a stunning spot overlooking the sea & beach , also serves lunch & dinner all the food is delicious .Sunbeds on the beach in front of the restaurant ( the beds are chargeable but a great place to just chill looking out to sea ) Just want to say thanks to Jacob the DJ playing music from midday to 3pm and then from 7pm till late great playlists didn’t need my EarPods all week. And last but not least thank you to all the amazing staff here who work so hard to make sure you have a wonderful holiday , especially Despina (Deppy,)Georgia , Jenny & Dimitris . Excellent break we stayed bed and breakfast with hotel situated right next to the beach.The staff are brilliant , hard working very approachable and always a smile on their faces. Breakfast was very good with a selection of everything you required, coffee and tea. You could also order specialty coffee’s in the mornings with no additional charge. Skiathos Old Town is about 10 minute walk a little up and down but well worth it. You will come across traditional Greek Tavernas especially at night time when the place comes to life. In the harbour you’ll have the chance to book a boat trip . We booked with poisdion and visited the mamma Mia church, Skopolos and had a beach stop on way back. A very enjoyable day and I’m no boat lover! One last note is the buses , the bus stop 4 and 5 are both a 5 min walk from hotel. We used the bus twice and went to koukounaries beach and Troulos beach, both very much worth a visit. It costs 3 euros per person and from Koukounaries beach you can get the water taxi back to Skiathos harbour for 6 euros each. All in all a wonderful stay, what are you waiting for get it booked !!

A wonderful hotel, the best I have stayed in Skiathos so far. The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and an easy 10 min walk into town. We stayed in the Thalassa building near the pool, room 101. The room was nicely decorated and spacious with the added bonus of a fridge and kettle. The hotel provided pool towels and the pool area was lovely. I like the hotel's policy of removing towels if guests haven't returned to the sunbeds after an hour. We could always get a sunbed by the pool. Breakfast was fab with a good selection and we sat looking out over the beach. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Georgia and her reception team were very helpful and cheerful. We didn't have a full meal in the hotel restaurant but did try some starters as a light lunch and the food was delicious and well presented. The cocktails were fantastic. We used the hotel's transfer which was €15 each way to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We received a bottle of complimentary wine on arrival, the fridge in the room was a bonus. The hotel and reception area, our room, the balcony, the pool area and surrounding garden areas were spotless. The location of the restaurant were breakfast was served was beautiful looking out at the sea. Breakfast was exceptional, in fact one of the best breakfasts we have ever had on holiday, the selection available was fantastic and the staff were all very tentative, polite and could not do enough to help you. You could choose any coffee at no extra charge. The sun beds were the comfiest we have ever used, around the pool and on the beach, the small charge for the beds on the beach were so worth it! We ate lunch in the restaurant on our first day and the service was great and the food was delicious. The transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice versa for just €15 each way made it so much easier as it was our first time in Skiathos. Will we return……oh yes, in a heartbeat, one of the best holidays we have had for a long time. We could not fault anything and for my husband to give it a 10/10 sums it up nicely! Highly recommend you will not be disappointed

Brilliant hotel and such amazing staff. They are very friendly and got out of there way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The beds are decent price at 20 euros for two people and a bottle of water. When we first arrived we was delayed by air traffic control and the restaurant was going to close however they made sure we got to eat. I had the Greek pork gyros would highly recommend if you like pork. The hotel is in such a brilliant location to with a beautiful view when you are eating inside the restaurant. Plus it’s not far from the town and can easily be walked within 10 minutes. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for the first time and we are only a young couple but we had the best time ever at this hotel. We Will defiantly stay again since the food is delicious and the beds are very comfy. Unfortunately there hotel has been hit by storm Daniel pretty bad. When we was suppose to check out Tuesday, georgia said not to leave the hotel and you can remain safe in your room till we figure out what happens next. Since no staff could arrive because of the unsafe conditions from the extreme pour down. The morning shift was also working the night because of this. Big praises to these guys who worked their buts off to make sure we had clean rooms and food and drink in our belly’s. Fortunately the storm came to an end but it had brought tears to the staff, it was such a stressful time for everyone and this has never happened on this island ever. So don’t let this bad weather put you off coming to Skiathos. You can’t help what happened it’s so unfortunate, your staff georgia did such amazing job. I wont forget John he was a friendly face and I hope to see all in the future. I hope you can rebuild your beautiful island very soon! Thank you, James, georgia room 106 Thalassa cape.

Beautiful small hotel. We had a perfect room overlooking the pool. Breakfast fabulous....lots of choice.

Lovely hotel, amazing location and great staff! Would recommend for a great base on the lovely island of Skiathos.

The sunbeds were amazing,breakfast very good but very cramped,the room & bed very comfortable , the hotel had been refurbished & only opened in May so still had a few problems that needed fixing ,Our air conditioning leaked water all over the floor & although we told reception it wasnt sorted (we only stayed 2 nights) We had no hot for showers water on both mornings,the french doors were still the old doors & the glass seemed unsafe & the doors noisy when opening or closing,great location for the town & beach & despite the problems we enjoyed our stay
