《A Leisurely Day at Donghu: Relax, Swim, and Savor》 Donghu Hotel offers elegant twin rooms that are warm and tranquil. The wooden floors, bathed in soft light, complement the clean and refined bathroom. A day spent here feels utterly relaxed and unhurried. Breakfast is simple yet nourishing. Warm soy milk soothes the stomach, while corn, sweet potatoes, and steamed buns provide ample carbs. Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, alongside braised meats and nuts, offer a balanced and wholesome meal, preparing you for the day ahead. In the afternoon, I headed to the hotel's pool for a refreshing swim. The crystal-clear water shimmered with ripples. Underwater, the water enveloped my body, stretching my shoulders and back, relieving the fatigue from prolonged sitting. Switching to breaststroke, the kicking and pulling stretched my core and limbs, my heart and lungs rising and falling rhythmically. Sweat dissipated with the water, washing away all my accumulated weariness. After my swim, I moved to ”Xiji Gangjiu” to try some Cantonese dim sum. Each dish was a delight. Garlic oysters are nourishing and rich in protein, while spring onion chicken replenishes vital energy. Fresh shrimp and coriander dumplings are light and appetizing. Beef balls with choi sum provide excellent protein and dietary fiber, and the two-tone water chestnut cake is delightfully sweet and refreshing. The combination of seafood, poultry, vegetables, and grains was well-balanced—fresh, not greasy, and wonderfully wholesome. A dip in the 'azure waters' stretched my muscles and bones, a 'Cantonese feast' nourished my body, and the elegant room provided a sanctuary for my mind. With a perfect blend of activity and rest, and nourishing food, a day of leisure at Donghu Hotel brought a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and freedom.

I'm incredibly satisfied with The Langham! A special thanks to Anisa and Nancy. I had booked multiple rooms, and the information was a bit scattered, but they were incredibly patient and enthusiastic in helping us communicate and coordinate everything. As someone who appreciates meticulous planning, the hotel environment, dining, and rooms were impeccable! I held my wedding banquet at the hotel and felt so warmly looked after. Room service was available as early as 5:30 AM, and all our guests were extremely pleased. Truly excellent!

I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shanghai. It's close to many popular attractions. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shanghai. Thank you to all the staff.

The room overall is quite small, which is to be expected in such a prime location. The ceiling height is very low, making it feel a bit cramped. The air conditioning vent blows directly onto the head of the bed, giving me a headache at night. We ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed instead. The location is excellent, with many shopping malls within walking distance, making dining very convenient.

An unexpectedly great stay! The room was clean, hygienic, and not at all damp. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, completely contrary to some of the negative reviews I'd read. There's some renovation work happening nearby (see pic 4), which I was warned about when booking, but even as a light sleeper, I wasn't bothered by it at all. The location is excellent, with lots of international guests, making it a perfect choice for business travelers!

This hotel exudes an old-money charm. I booked a night at the Garden Hotel for a staycation, just to switch things up. It's a classic for a reason – the location is unbeatable; it's a leisurely 15-minute stroll back from the Shanghai Culture Square. Not to mention the stunning large lawn and the gorgeous Art Deco interiors. The service was excellent across the board, the pool was great for a swim, and breakfast offered the usual five-star Chinese and Western options, plus the Garden Hotel's special Japanese breakfast 😎. All in all, a very satisfying stay.

The Shanghai Huamei International Hotel is located on South Xizang Road, making it extremely convenient for transportation. It's within walking distance of the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Yu Garden, and nearby subway and bus stations are also easily accessible. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, timely housekeeping, a comfortable environment, and excellent service. For this season, the value for money is quite good!

The location is excellent, it's only about a ten-minute walk to the Bund or Yu Garden. The service was also great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I booked a room with a window, but the window was very small and almost completely blocked by the curtains. It actually wouldn't have made much difference if there wasn't a window, as outside was a whole construction site. Overall, I was still very satisfied.

Exceeded my expectations, old-school hotels are still the best! The decor and service gave a unique feeling. The soundproofing was excellent; I couldn't hear a thing from outside the room. Looking out the window, it felt like staying in an old castle. The cleaning was meticulous and thorough, the most detailed I've encountered on all my business trips. I'll definitely come again.

I stayed at the Atour Hotel on Nanjing West Road, near Jing'an Temple, with my mom during our trip to Shanghai. The room was meticulously clean, with every detail taken care of. Despite being in a bustling commercial area, the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and patient throughout our stay, responding promptly to all our requests. The location is superb, within walking distance of popular spots like Julu Road, Changle Road, and Fumin Road. Next door is the Moller Villa, making it super convenient to explore the old streets and take photos with my mom. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.
