In the afternoon, I headed to the hotel's pool for a refreshing swim. The crystal-clear water shimmered with ripples. Underwater, the water enveloped my body, stretching my shoulders and back, relieving the fatigue from prolonged sitting. Switching to breaststroke, the kicking and pulling stretched my core and limbs, my heart and lungs rising and falling rhythmically. Sweat dissipated with the water, washing away all my accumulated weariness. After my swim, I moved to ”Xiji Gangjiu” to try some Cantonese dim sum. Each dish was a delight. Garlic oysters are nourishing and rich in protein, while spring onion chicken replenishes vital energy. Fresh shrimp and coriander dumplings are light and appetizing. Beef balls with choi sum provide excellent protein and dietary fiber, and the two-tone water chestnut cake is delightfully sweet and refreshing. The combination of seafood, poultry, vegetables, and grains was well-balanced—fresh, not greasy, and wonderfully wholesome. A dip in the 'azure waters' stretched my muscles and bones, a 'Cantonese feast' nourished my body, and the elegant room provided a sanctuary for my mind. With a perfect blend of activity and rest, and nourishing food, a day of leisure at Donghu Hotel brought a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and freedom.

Served until 11 AM on weekends. The noodle bar is popular and might require queuing during peak hours. * **T'ang Court**: A Michelin Two-Star Cantonese restaurant, and one of the hotel's signature dining venues. * **Lobby Lounge**: Offers the classic Langham Champagne Afternoon Tea. I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shanghai. It's close to many popular attractions. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shanghai. Thank you to all the staff.

The room overall is quite small, which is to be expected in such a prime location. The ceiling height is very low, making it feel a bit cramped. The air conditioning vent blows directly onto the head of the bed, giving me a headache at night. We ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed instead. The location is excellent, with many shopping malls within walking distance, making dining very convenient.

An unexpectedly great stay! The room was clean, hygienic, and not at all damp. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, completely contrary to some of the negative reviews I'd read. There's some renovation work happening nearby (see pic 4), which I was warned about when booking, but even as a light sleeper, I wasn't bothered by it at all. The location is excellent, with lots of international guests, making it a perfect choice for business travelers!

I came specifically to stay here for two nights, having heard great things, and I truly experienced the professionalism, warmth, attentiveness, and courtesy of a top-notch hotel. I enjoyed the cleanliness, tranquility, comfort, and a wonderfully unconstrained sense of relaxation. I believe the Garden Hotel has a strong competitive edge in Shanghai, characterized by its approachability and welcoming atmosphere.

The Shanghai Huamei International Hotel is located on South Xizang Road, making it extremely convenient for transportation. It's within walking distance of the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Yu Garden, and nearby subway and bus stations are also easily accessible. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, timely housekeeping, a comfortable environment, and excellent service. For this season, the value for money is quite good!

We took our elderly relatives, all over 80 years old, on a trip to Shanghai. The location was excellent; it was about a 5-minute taxi ride to the Bund, and a short walk away. There were also many restaurants downstairs. The hotel was newly opened and very comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful and attentive to us, who were traveling with an elderly person. We were upgraded to a larger room. Absolutely fantastic!

Overall, my stay was quite average. The location is fairly convenient, making it easy to catch a taxi. The room had all the basic amenities, but the cleanliness could use some improvement; there was a bit of dust on the desk, and the bathroom drain was slow. The bedding was comfortable enough, but the soundproofing wasn't great – I could hear people walking in the hallway at night. The front desk staff were polite, but their efficiency in handling issues was just average. The value for money is moderate, and I hope they can improve their housekeeping and sound insulation in the future.

I stayed at the Atour Hotel on Nanjing West Road, near Jing'an Temple, with my mom during our trip to Shanghai. The room was meticulously clean, with every detail taken care of. Despite being in a bustling commercial area, the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and patient throughout our stay, responding promptly to all our requests. The location is superb, within walking distance of popular spots like Julu Road, Changle Road, and Fumin Road. Next door is the Moller Villa, making it super convenient to explore the old streets and take photos with my mom. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.
