Hotels in Jinshan Fengjing Ancient Town Area, Shanghai

I stayed at the Legoland Hotel for two nights and would like to share my honest thoughts. The hotel's hygiene, breakfast, public facilities, and in-house activities were all up to par. Considering the nearly 10,000 yuan spent on two nights' accommodation plus other expenses, these aspects met the expected standards for the price point, which is satisfactory. (The staff member responsible for the creative activity at 4 PM on the 18th afternoon truly impressed me. Her interactions with the children were thoughtful, detailed, and caring – she deserves commendation.) The park itself gets a big bonus. On the first day, I lost my sunglasses while playing at Monkey Mountain. I had given up hope, but two days later, before checking out, I inquired at the customer service center again and was told the item had been found. It was a pleasant surprise to recover them, and I'm genuinely grateful for this, as it significantly elevated the overall experience. However, two things greatly detracted from the experience: First, after 4 PM on the day of check-in, my family waited a long time at the front desk but couldn't get our room cards. The front desk staff initially said they couldn't find the order, then said we had to wait for the room to be ready. It wasn't until a more senior staff member intervened that the issue was resolved. She even mentioned that in our situation, we shouldn't have had to wait at all and could have gone straight to our room to rest (we had completed the check-in process in the morning and, since the room wasn't ready, had spent half the day at the park – we were exhausted!). The other matter was even more frustrating and regrettable. Soon after entering the room, I accidentally broke the handle of a mug. Upon checking out, 180 yuan was deducted from my deposit. The front desk admitted that these specific mugs weren't new; they were recycled used ones. Objectively, the procurement cost of such a mug is probably around ten yuan. To be charged 180 yuan for a used item, even after depreciation, is truly difficult to accept. This is a hotel primarily for families with children, and the room space isn't particularly large. Most guests are families with kids. Placing such fragile glassware in the room lacks proper consideration. While compensation for damage is understandable, the huge disparity between the price charged and the actual value of the item naturally makes one question things. For families staying with children, I strongly advise paying extra attention to all cups and decorative items in the room. It's best to take photos as proof before checking out. The park experience is very good, and the hotel's hardware and service are up to standard, but the compensation issue is truly frustrating. Therefore, I strongly recommend against staying at Legoland Hotel, or at most, only staying for one night for a brief experience. I will not be staying again. After all, the Hilton Garden Inn next door offers a much better experience – at least their mugs wouldn't cost 180 yuan.

I booked this hotel for Legoland. To be clear, the breakfast was incredibly plentiful – the most abundant and delicious I've ever had at any Ji Hotel, especially the beef and chicken noodle soups. However, there were some drawbacks: 1. At check-in, the staff insisted I download the Ji Hotel app. I told them I booked through Ctrip, but they said it was necessary to redeem the order. I don't understand this; it's the first time I've encountered this. What's the point of booking through Ctrip then? Crucially, after downloading it, I didn't redeem any coupons, so I suspect the front desk staff have download KPIs. 2. The hotel isn't close to Legoland; it takes about 20 minutes by taxi. There was smoking in the hallways and downstairs, and the rooms often smelled strongly of smoke. There was also a fight; around 10 pm, it was very loud and lasted for half an hour without anyone stopping it, and the insults were very offensive. 3. During peak laundry hours (8-9 pm), there were long lines for laundry. One hotel staff member, an older woman, was washing and drying a pile of her own clothes, including her underwear. 4. I stayed for two days. On the second day, I asked them to clean the room. When I returned, I found clothes scattered in every corner of the room. At least other brands of clothing would fold up and put on the bed. Their service awareness is quite poor.

Walking distance to Legoland, so we booked last minute. We chose this hotel because the Legoland Hotel was fully booked and this one is very close. Compared to Legoland Hotel, it offers pretty good value for money, and the breakfast was tasty, so we stayed one night. The only downside is that for a hotel that focuses on families, breakfast only includes two portions. Kids need to pay extra (unless they're under 1.2m; children over 1.4m are charged the same as adults, 168 RMB). When checking in, I asked the front desk if they could offer a complimentary breakfast for my child, and the response was, “I don't have the authority for that…” I then asked, “Can we have a late checkout?” First, they said, “No, because of high occupancy.” Later, they offered an extra half hour until 12:30 PM (eventually, they agreed to 1 PM, which is understandable that they couldn't extend it further). For a Hilton that costs over 1400 RMB a night, it's quite convenient for two out of three family members to go to the restaurant for breakfast, while the third person just picks something up from the FamilyMart across the street. 🙂

Excellent! This is my kids' favorite hotel. There were so many other children for them to play with. The owner was super helpful, providing rides whenever we needed them. Although breakfast was simple, it was very healthy and well-balanced. This time we stayed in two different rooms; unfortunately, we couldn't book the slide room this time. 😄 But my kids loved both rooms. The bathroom fixtures and water heater were all great quality. The owner even gave us a little gift. Sadly, my child cherished it so much that they accidentally left it on the train during a transfer. 🙁 The hotel is very close to both the station and Legoland, just a few minutes away.

This is a new hotel with brand new facilities, no lingering renovation smell, and excellent hygiene. It's conveniently located in Wufu Commercial Plaza, easy to find. It's just a two or three-minute walk from Donglin Temple (Jinshan) and Zhujing Bus Station. Taking public transport to Legoland is also very convenient. Facilities: As someone who really struggles to sleep in unfamiliar beds, I was very impressed with the mattress. The showerhead was also quite good. Even though it's a newly opened hotel this year, there was absolutely no strange smell. Environment: It's just a few minutes' drive from Legoland. You can see the Legoland Hotel building clearly from the hotel entrance, right across the wheat fields. Service: The owner and staff were all warm and proactive. They've set up various kids' facilities in the lobby and right outside the entrance. The breakfast even catered to children's preferences, though I'd suggest improving the quality a bit. Overall, it's a great value-for-money choice if you're visiting Legoland.

On my vacation to Fengjing Ancient Town, I chose the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Jinshan for my stay, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations – definitely a five-star rating! The hotel boasts a beautiful French manor style, with a picturesque lakeside setting. The lawns and lake views, both day and night, are perfect for photos. The environment is quiet and pleasant, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, truly enhancing the vacation vibe. The rooms are spacious and clean, with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and all the details are well-maintained. Staying in a lake view room, you can open the balcony and enjoy the scenery, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The service is attentive and thoughtful. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and staff member Shine was friendly and responsive to requests. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety, including Western pastries, as well as local specialties like xiaolongbao and other Fengjing snacks – all very delicious. The facilities are comprehensive, with a heated swimming pool, a gym, and a children's play area, making it very suitable for families traveling with kids. The location is excellent, very close to Fengjing Ancient Town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. Parking is free, which is great for those traveling by car. I highly recommend this hotel for family trips with children or short weekend getaways. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Jinshan!

Traveling with my kids to Legoland, my options for accommodation were limited to the official Legoland Hotel, the Hilton, or guesthouses. I was a bit hesitant to book this guesthouse-style hotel, but it turned out to be an amazing surprise with incredible attention to detail! 👍 The woman who checked us in at the front desk, a kind 'Dama' from Northeast China, was super friendly. She called us in advance to confirm our arrival time and even turned on the air conditioning for us. Both the stairs and elevator were decorated with Super Mario graphics, which my kids loved as soon as they walked in. They were even more thrilled when we got to the room, which featured Labubu decorations and a Lego brick wall, giving them plenty to play with even inside the hotel! The bathroom had a smart toilet and a makeup mirror, and the best part was that the toiletries were recognizable household brands like Pantene and Safeguard shower gel – much better than those anonymous products you find in big hotels. There were also slippers for both adults and children in the bathroom. Plus, on the third floor, there's an outdoor drying area, which was perfect for my daily laundry needs in the summer! 😀 Most guesthouses don't offer breakfast, so I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a restaurant the next morning. The eggs were freshly boiled by a friendly uncle, and even though I went late, there were still plenty of options like steamed buns, date cakes, sweet potatoes, corn, congee, milk, and watermelon – a truly rich spread! It felt like there were surprises around every corner. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to the park! This place is truly fantastic! 👍👍👍 I hope it continues to be this good!

The water pressure in the shower was a bit low. I'd suggest installing a makeup mirror on the wall as well; even though it's a family-friendly hotel, many guests still need to do their makeup. The bed was quite firm and not very comfortable. However, the guesthouse's proximity to the theme park, coupled with the shuttle service to both the park and the high-speed train station, really makes up for these minor issues. My only real complaint is that during the breakfast rush, after telling the staff my order, they completely forgot it. I waited for a good twenty minutes before having to remind them again. Overall, the service at the guesthouse is excellent, and I wish the owner great success and continued growth for the guesthouse!
