"Sometimes, when you're the only one to offer something, you may decide to rest on your unique selling point. This hotel doesn't. From arrival to departure, this stay has been a wonderful experience. When you arrive, the first thing you're asked to do is to sit down and enjoy a welcome drink. Once you've settled down for a bit, one of the front office agents will come sit with you and talk you through your stay. They will answer questions and assist you with anything you might need help with. In addition to the 5 star superior hotel category, they also have a Michelin star restaurant. If you get the chance, try to spend at least one evening there as well. Then there's a gigantic wellness and spa area. They had an adults only section as well. It was beautiful and quiet. The rooms are modern and well maintained as well."

"Berghotel Hoher Knochen During our stay at the charming Berghotel Hoher Knochen in Schmallenberg, we enjoyed peace, comfort, and breathtaking views. This charming hotel is ideally situated in a serene setting, perfect for unwinding. The Suite Our suite was exceptionally comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The decor exuded warmth and coziness, with ample space to truly feel at home. However, what impressed us most was the view from the suite. Through the large windows, we looked out onto a beautiful winter landscape, with a blanket of snow transforming the surroundings into a fairytale-like backdrop. The Location Berghotel Hoher Knochen is situated in a peaceful location surrounded by nature. Surrounded by forests and hills, the hotel offers direct access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities. The snow during our stay added an extra touch of magic to the already beautiful surroundings. Conclusion If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, then Berghotel Hoher Knochen is highly recommended. The comfort of the suite and the spectacular view make for an experience you won't soon forget. We look forward to returning in a different season to explore the area even without snow."

"A 4+ star establishment that is well maintained, but the type and quality of the food does not match the stars. For breakfast, you have to fill out a questionnaire at the table and write down how many slices of ham, salmon, cheese or whatever you want to eat. Then they bring it out and you can eat it. It reminded me of my stay in hospital. Being able to see the delicacies on the buffet whets your appetite and invites you to choose which appetizers you want to eat. Filling out a form is completely unsuitable for this and is not an indication of hospitality. After all, you eat with your eyes too! You can choose the evening menu, but the salad buffet that is typical in establishments of this category is not available! My main course (fish) was so salty that I could hardly eat it - but they simply took note of the complaint and did not try to make amends (as is completely normal in other hotels/restaurants). The prices are really amazing, though. The stay and the strange "hospitality" are quite expensive."
