Venus Hotel
"A simple room, but clean. Fortunately, I was allowed into the room earlier upon check-in. Friendly staff. The Wi-Fi is poor, though."
Falling Leaves Lodge
"prices on this app were totally off whent from 190 then 350 then 750 for same day booking when we checked in that day price dropped back down to 3+200. 00 location not good"
Cassia Hill Resort
"Amazing location and room, but couldn’t really get service from the person at the front desk nor the one security guy on site who also functioned as the repair guy. We didn’t have lights to our shower area, side table, or front porch, and it was pitch black, but lighting couldn’t be remedied. It’s too bad we didn’t have more time to enjoy the location in the daylight."
Pine Ridge Lodge
"This ecolodge is beautifully maintained, with gardens, walkways, plantings large and small, and patrolled by a flock of guinia fowl. The cottages are cute, they look like they came out of a fairy tale book. My cottage was half a cottage, since I was alone. I loved it, but it had only one electrical outlet, which made charging devices tricky. the owner went out of his way to make me feel welcome. He also cooks many of the meals, which are exquisite and personally brought to you. Yorkshire pudding was part of one meal. Although I was birding and did record a couple dozen species from this property, my guide and I travel each day. The road goes directly to Caracol, although the last half of the trip is rough, with road construction actively underway. There is also a butterfly farm nearby that is worth a few hours, because it has more than butterflies! I highly recommend Pine Ridge Ecolodge!"
Crystal Paradise Resort
"We had a great experience here. The Tut family provided fantastic lodging in the village of Cristo Rey and helped me to arrange and provided transportation for other day trips. We enjoyed home-cooked breakfasts and dinners at the lodge. In quiet moments, we enjoyed sitting on the spacious deck to bird watch. We were able to walk down to the river to cool off and into the village for smaller expeditions. Everything was smooth and perfect - everything I hoped for out of the trip!"
Maya Bella Downtown Hotel
"A pleasant hotel located in the center of San Ignacio, close to the bus stop and several restaurants. The balcony with the pool is a lovely place to spend the late afternoon. Although breakfast isn't included, they offer black coffee with bananas, which is a nice touch for those leaving very early for excursions."
The West House Boutique Hotel
The Log Cab-Inn
"I can speak English. It was very comfortable with a beautiful camping image."
Rolson Hotel
"I did not have a good experience at this hotel. Customer service was poor (except for one of the managers). I used the laundry service and two of my items were returned damaged (top stained as per photo and cotton trousers shrunk by at least one size) after I requested a cold wash to avoid this. When I made a complaint, the manager denied that the hotel was responsible and implied I was making it up. She was totally unapologetic and I had to ask her for a refund which she begrudgingly gave on the basis that we would ‘forget about it’. Being refunded 20 dollars for the laundry service will not help me forget the irreparable damage to over 100 dollars worth of clothes! Eventually she apologised after I pointed out that saying sorry was the norm in these situations rather than arguing with the person making a valid complaint. I was so taken aback by her rudeness, it was a very unpleasant experience. We were charged for a room with a pool view, but there was no view of the pool from our window - it looks out into a corridor meaning we had to keep or curtains closed at all times to prevent people looking in. The bottom of the pool was also very brown and grubby looking so we didn’t use it. Beds were very soft and sunk in the middle, and A/C and fan were incredibly loud. On the plus side the TV in the room had Netflix/Hulu and the rooms were clean with good showers. There was also a coffee maker and ironing board which was a good touch."

Ka'Ana Resort & Spa
"The room was very clean and spacious. All the waiters are warm and attentive. We were leaving for a tour group early in the morning, so we asked the front desk to arrange a packed breakfast in advance."
Las Haciendas
"We spent 6 nights at Las Haciendas and highly recommend it as a place to base yourself in San Ignacio. The room (1 bedroom Villa) was spacious and clean. The kitchen nook perect for our cooking needs. The bathroom extremely spacious with a huge walki-in shower. And the plunge pool made for relaxing afternoons/evenings after hot tours in the area. The location is on the outskirts of San Ignacio but within walking distance of a couple supermarkets and restaurants, as well as, the Mayan archeological site Cahal Pech. We also walked into town for dinner a couple times (30 minutes). Leda, the manager, was absolutely fantastic with prior communications and organizing our tours. Literally the best we’ve ever dealt with. Abi, the on-site maintenance manager was also great responding to a couple small issues we had - gecko in the outside air con unit made contact on the control board and shorted outh the system but he rectified that immediately. One hint regarding the AC…the indoor unit blows toward the bed which we didn’t like so we hung a blanket over the bed canopy structure bars to block the AC from hitting us directly. Also, if you set it on DRY mode at night, the fan speed slows down and we slept great. Highly highly recommend staying at Las Haciendas. Quality-price ratio versus many of the resorts we checked online was why we chose to stay here and it really paid off. Thanks to all the staff!"
Kane Villas - Mountain Pine Ridge
"Another great stay at Kane Villas. This trip is our 3rd time staying here and everything has always been well taken care of. We rented out all 3 Villas and as always, they are stocked with the necessary things for a great stay. The Pool and grill area was a highlight for family night, grilling and enjoying the pool. Thank to Nello for keeping the grounds and pool impeccable. Catherine, thank you for always getting us booked and in us having a place to stay in the MPR. Overall Kane Villas is a true Gem in this area full of serenity. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!"
The Cabins at Monkey Fall
"The comfiest accommodations, most delicious food and most lovely host! We stayed here in October, 2025 for a few nights and wish we had booked our entire trip here. The grounds are absolutely stunning and everyone working at the cabins are incredibly kind and helpful. We loved Belize, and will absolutely be coming back to the cabins in the future."
The Lodge at ChaaCreek
"Deron was the highlight of a spectacular trip although everyone who works around Chaa Creek is incredibly friendly, kind and accommodating. We did ziplining and cave tubing and it was perfect, we also did the RTV tour which was so fun and exciting for all of us. The open hearth kitchen experience was really worth it, and one of the best meals we had. We made shrimp ceviche, chicken and rice and beans and it was a gourmet meal. Chaa Creek did not disappoint in ANY way. Be aware that some of the rooms have open bathrooms and showers with no doors. Our teenagers sharing a room were NOT amused but figured it out."
Blancaneaux Lodge by Francis Ford Coppola
"Blancaneaux was absolutely amazing! We loved every second of our stay. From the moment Fransisco met us at BZE we knew we had found the perfect family get away. Fantastic food. Genuine people. Beautiful property. Nestled in nature. Seamless transitions. Top notch tour guides. Blancaneaux has it ALL!"
