"Deron was the highlight of a spectacular trip although everyone who works around Chaa Creek is incredibly friendly, kind and accommodating. We did ziplining and cave tubing and it was perfect, we also did the RTV tour which was so fun and exciting for all of us. The open hearth kitchen experience was really worth it, and one of the best meals we had. We made shrimp ceviche, chicken and rice and beans and it was a gourmet meal. Chaa Creek did not disappoint in ANY way. Be aware that some of the rooms have open bathrooms and showers with no doors. Our teenagers sharing a room were NOT amused but figured it out."

We rented out all 3 Villas and as always, they are stocked with the necessary things for a great stay. The Pool and grill area was a highlight for family night, grilling and enjoying the pool. Thank to Nello for keeping the grounds and pool impeccable. Catherine, thank you for always getting us booked and in us having a place to stay in the MPR. "We spent Christmas week here on a last minute booking and it was a magical experience! First, the food is UNBELIEVABLE. It is world class cuisine. We ate every meal at the restaurant because the food was fresh, hyper local, perfectly spiced, and inventive. Everything from chorizo, lamb, tilapia, and the cocktails were outstanding. The chef Sean and sous Joshua were welcoming and we learned a lot about local and Mayan cuisine. We also had an amazing experience in the cascade villa (which is basically a house)—KENNY was our incredible helper and he would pick us up (it’s detached from the main lodge) via a cell phone they gave to us for our time there. During the week there was a Mayan traditional ceremony for Xmas Eve and an entire roasted pig under ground served in the outdoor restaurant. We booked a number of off site tours and were able to move things around due to the rain. The horseback riding and Caracol tours were very fun but pretty tiring and I think you need to be in decent shape to do them. We booked this on an whim and it turned out to be an incredible visit, despite rain all week. Thank you!"

"We were surprised at how serene the grounds were - an oasis in the pine forest. The entire staff was welcoming and vested in making our stay as memorable as possible. We stayed in a room that was close to the waterfall that some of the family needed earplugs to dampen the white noise. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room relaxing. It was well worth the drive to the resort location."

"Wow, the Pine Ridge Lodge is a truly fabulous place, with wonderful folks who live and work there. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely stream flowing through it, and super adorable accommodations. We were a group of 16 (assortment of families, couples, and singles) and were very very comfortable. Kitchen is staffed with highly talented folks, and the attention to detail is awesome and yet not overbearing at all. Decent proximity to Xunatunich Mayan ruins, and Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave, two amAzing sites and experiences."

"Great place close to the center. Easy 5 min walk to the market or the bus station The AC was great and the room was clean. Staff was really friendly and helped us to get a cheap taxi to the border Only downside is the barthroom. The wall doesnt go all the way to the ceiling and you can hear anything from the bed, but we can live with that. Recommended for sure."
