Hotel Mediteran Plava Laguna ★★★

📍 Plava Laguna 1, Porec

"The room and bathroom were small, but for a couple staying one night, it was fine. All the amenities offered were excellent: bar, pool, and beach access. The breakfast was top-notch, just wish there were a few more pastry options!"

"So basically I could not play with my ball in the pool also a bug came out of my mums peach also it was the same food for lunch and dinner everyday also the beach was so unbelievably expensive like the sun beds cost around £20-30 unexplainable"

"We had a great time in a beautiful, pacefull location. I recommend for the family trips. If you want more parties go to the city center. Also I would like to thank Fanni, who made my daughter week unforgettable. The kids club was quiet small, but full of warmth and kidness. My girl very liked the facepainting and mini disco. Every evening the children enjoyed the party and they really waiting for pepi. I liked the pool, it was clear and organized and every morning we had aqua fit. So much fun and after the hard exercise, my shoulders were sore the next day:)) The resort is beutiful, relaxing and very enjoyable. The only small bad thing was the bathroom is small. I already wanted to book our holiday for next year here! Thank you for the kind servise and we hope the next year the same animation team will be back."

Hotel Zorna Plava Laguna
8.2 (13 reviews)

Hotel Zorna Plava Laguna ★★★

📍 Zelena laguna 15, Porec

"Food was a highlight for the main meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all good quality and varied. The only thing that I didn't like was the snack options, which felt repetitive (the same sandwich every day). The bar was great with coffee, juice, water, and beer being available throughout the day, plus cocktails in the evening. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful, speaking several languages including English, which made communication easy. The TVs in the rooms also had channels in multiple languages, a nice touch for international guests. There are also sports activities included in the price, including tennis, pool, and paddle boats — but note that nobody tells you about these at check-in. You have to actively ask at reception to find out what’s available and how to book it, which seems like an easy fix on the hotel’s part. Parking was quite cheap at just €2/day. The main downside was that the hotel is quite old, and unfortunately the elevator was out of service for several days during our stay. Since we were on the last floor, this impacted the overall experience more than we expected"

Hotel Plavi Plava Laguna
7.9 (34 reviews)

Hotel Plavi Plava Laguna ★★★

📍 Zelena laguna 10, Porec

"Prime example that a picture can lie a thousand words.. Hotel from outside is looking alright, of course it’s a old building, but it holds up okay. At the lobby we were a bit surprised that the reseption took our passports and they were just in a open locker behind them… (if anybody wants to make an ID scam and steal someones identity, thats the place to rob some passports…) they gave them back when we signed out. The whole hotel gives a bit too much negative ”eastern europe vibe” if you know what I mean.. Staff never smiled and they seemed to be in a bad mood. About the room, they were SMALL, after we opened our suitcase to the floor (cause there were no other place to it) the room was full. Bathroom was also small, as well as the shower. Room was very out-dated, no renovations had been done and you could hear everyhing what was happening outside the room, no noice-cancelling at all. Breakfast wasn’t so great either, also no gluten free food but rice cakes... I used one of the upstair lobby’s bathroom and it was very filthy!! 2 of the 4 toilets were clogged with feces and paper still on there.. and the one ”clean” i used had the most disgusting toilet cleaner brush I have ever seen.. Only pros that I have to say about the hotel is that it is located extremely well. The lagoon outside is stunningly beautiful, water is crystal clear, there is clean and showers everywhere outside as well as chairs to take sun. But still, I will not be staying here again."

Isabella Island Hotel & Villas, Valamar Collection

Isabella Island Hotel & Villas, Valamar Collection ★★★★

📍 Otok Sv. Nikola ;, Porec

"I have been coming to this hotel since before the renovation, when it was called the Fortuna and Boris was at reception, and always loved it and the island. I must have visited 10 times at least. This year it felt as if something had been lost, a different atmosphere. With the exception of the concierge, the young lady who checked at the dining room door, and the lovely lady on the sausage cooking station at breakfast, where did all the smiles and welcome chats from the staff go? Our room cleaner didn't even seem to acknowledge us. Apart from that, no complants about the beautifully kept grounds, food was great, what alcoholic drinks we could have on all inclusive was a bit confusing though. I doubt I will return but only because of my mobility. I will always love Isabella Island."

"Very nice hotel, great location, and you can use the beach on the hotel island, including the boat, free of charge. We were surprised that there were sometimes four employees at reception and none of them greeted us. What about customer service?"

Solaris Camping Resort
8.5 (48 reviews)

Solaris Camping Resort ★★★

📍 Solaris 1, Vabriga

"We booked by calling an online number, which actually turned out to be the number of an agency that sublets tents. When we pointed out that the bedding was for one person only and that we'd found the trash bin unemptied, we were told they weren't responsible and that we should contact the agency we'd contacted. Furthermore, when we asked to participate in a guest survey, we were told it was only for those staying in bungalows or residences. We felt like the company was lacking in responsibility and that they were distinguishing between first-class and second-class guests."

"The hotel lobby, restaurant and the pool are nice but the rooms are terrible. They smell of dampness, the carpet is damp and the rooms really need some freshening up. Breakfast is good but the choice of food for lunch is bad and the food is not tasty."

"We are about to go home tomorrow and don’t really want to go! The hotel has been fantastic, staff Have been amazing, very friendly in the restaurant and throughout the hotel.. The cleaning has been exemplary! We are a family of six adults and four children (multi generational!) and every room has been amazing. The pool and the sunbeds and the facilities for the children have been very good. The food was excellent, very fresh and always able to find something to eat. The gala dinner on Thursdays was fab and extra drinks (g&t’s) available with your dinner. Would love to return one day soon. Also, had a massage today which was brilliant. Excellent price too. "

Valamar Camping Lanterna Hotels in Porec

Valamar Camping Lanterna

"I have been a loyal customer of Lanterna campsite for more than two decades, but sadly, my most recent experience was very disappointing. The staff were unkind and unhelpful, and I felt that they no longer care about the fact that we, as guests, have supported this campsite for many years. After so many positive stays in the past, it was truly disheartening to feel unwelcome. The attitude of the staff left me feeling undervalued as a long-term customer. I expected more respect, hospitality, and care, especially given the history I have with this place. It’s very disappointing to see how the service has declined, and unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider returning."

Valamar Tamaris Resort ★★★★
"Making our debut in Croatia, our arrival at the Valamar Tamaris Resort began with a promising flourish. The entrance makes a solid first impression, complemented by a genuinely warm greeting at reception. Step through the spacious lobby and out onto the terrace, and you are met with an undeniably striking coastal panorama. Unfortunately, that initial gloss begins to fade once you settle in. Accommodations & Dining: Form Over Function The family double room is best described as functional—decidedly small and basic, though adequate if you plan to spend minimal time indoors. However, the true Achilles' heel of the resort is its main dining venue, the Mediterraneo Restaurant. While the buffet offers a decent variety, the cooking suffers from a heavy hand—rendering the meat options noticeably overcooked. Worse still is the restaurant’s chaotic logistics: * The Greeting Trap: Friendly smiles at the host stand give way to a chaotic free-for-all the moment you step inside. Unlike other resorts of a similar status that escort guests to open tables, here you are left to fend for yourself. * The Buffet Bottleneck: The serving area is hopelessly underdesigned for the sheer volume of guests. Trapped in a single, winding arc of a line, you are forced to shuffle past tray after tray of unwanted dishes just to reach the items you actually desire. * Self-Service Drinks: While draft options are self-serve, those hoping for proper table service or an curated wine list will be sorely disappointed. Poolside Dynamics: High Energy vs. Lost Tranquility The outdoor pool offerings feel undersized for a resort of this scale, and the sunbed situation requires careful navigation: * The Activity Pool: Lively and bustling, but sun loungers are snatched up almost instantly. * The Relax Pool: Nominally a serene sanctuary, complete with strict bans on inflatables and ball games. > A Credit to Staff: Management deserves praise for strictly enforcing the "no reserving sunbeds" rule—a rarity in modern resorts. > Regrettably, they fail to police the noise levels. By late afternoon, the Relax Pool inevitably suffers from the activity pool’s overspill. As an influx of young children migrates over, the tranquil atmosphere evaporates into elevated noise, shattering any illusion of a quiet retreat. The Verdict So Far The Valamar Tamaris Resort manages to deliver a pleasant stay on paper, but it falls short of true hospitality excellence. Between the chaotic dining infrastructure and misplaced pool dynamics, it remains a notch below expectations. Dispatches to follow as the stay continues."

Apartments Bellevue Plava Laguna ★★★★
"We loved this place, its just superb - yes basic in terms of the accommodation but honestly for the cost of what we paid for our Jet2 holiday I thought the value for money was brilliant. ACCOMMODATION: All I want as family of 4 (2 teens included) is CLEAN accommodation - yep perfectly clean and fresh towels came every day and, more than enough towels for us all and bedsheets on one of the days. The apartment (e had a 2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the sitting room) was amongst the pine and olive trees, nice and quiet but enough hustle and bustle about the place for it to be interesting to sit out with a cold beer and enjoy the setting. The apartment itself is a little small but actually for us we didn't really care about that, we like to be out exploring more than sitting inside for a long time .The bathroom is tiny weeny and i had to be careful not to catch my toes on the door as its so close to the shower cubicle but again we all got on fine in there. The aircon - works great and had the best nights sleep as it was so cool and dark in the room. it was perfectly fine for us to enjoy breakfast on the balcony, or for the teens to flop about the place before heading out or after a bunch of time in the pool. POOL : The pool is brilliant, nice and fresh, clean tidy, well looked after - kids loved it and it was a great relaxed family atmosphere. I didn't seen any mold or missing tiles, its was perfectly lovely. There is a big pool and little paddling pool. When you arrive you get a towel card so you get nice fresh towels by the pool which was great! ONSITE RESTAURANT: The restaurant by the pool is great - the chap that served us our drinks and food each time we popped in was SO friendly and smiley and happy and made us so welcome. The food was spot on, served nicely and we all enjoyed capri salad, pizza and icecream together. Breakfast there was great and prices were fine for us, very reasonable. LOCATION: There are a lot of steps to the apartments - yes there are steps but its on a bit of a hill so how else do you expect to get up and down - it wasn't an issue for us at all and my son loves to moan about stuff like that but never said a peep as he was having a nice holiday. We found the location great and it is literally right next to the sea! POREC: - so for us with a 15 year old and 13 year old they were happy to stroll along the flat coast path to Porec most days and walk back on an evening - it was quite exciting for them to see the little bars on the coast. It takes about 40 mins just strolling not rushing and is mostly the in the shade. The land train uses the same path - no probs with that at all. Porec is great, loads of hustle and bustle, markets all along the harbour, loads of cafes and little restaurants and heaps of shops with touristy stuff in. Night time felt really safe and the waiters trying to get your custom are polite and not intrusive so its all very family friendly and relaxed and welcoming. TRAIN TO POREC: The"

"We had an absolutely amazing stay. Hotel was clean, food was excellent, bar staff couldn’t do enough even when they were absolutely busy and had been working all day long. Senaid and Marisela in particular were super! English level was excellent and stayed bubbly the whole way through. 100% would come again"

Hotel Plavi Plava Laguna ★★★
"A holiday in Croatia is a complete nightmare. We have been going to Croatia for years and have never experienced anything like this. Football kids from Italy who had no manners, manners or respect. The noise level was worse than a plane taking off late into the night, insults were the order of the day, the hotel staff were disrespected and physically attacked with plates and cutlery, people spit from the balcony and had no manners at the buffet. That was just a small selection. The hotel staff did what they could but achieved nothing. What a pity. The hotel won't be seeing us again any time soon."

"Large, well-equipped, and not overcrowded campsite. The location is extraordinary, and every access to the sea is safe, with various useful supports to prevent slips and falls. All bathrooms are spotless at all hours. Also convenient for people with disabilities. The only major drawback is the astronomical prices at the on-site markets and various bars (for example, a 2-liter bottle of water costs €4, or coffees cost €2.50, or even €3.50 if you order a long one). To get around this, just take the car and go to a nearby supermarket. Other than that, everything is excellent."
