I stayed here with my mother for two nights. The hotel was easy to contact and have been very friendly and helpful from the start. They provided a transfer from the train station to their place, and were super willing to give us advice about the village. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and had a lovely view to the mountains and gardens. The village is small, so we could walk everywhere. The bus station for the transfer back to the train station was right in front of the hotel, and the station to catch the sightseeing bus was / minutes away.

I came to Zhaoxing Dong Village specifically to experience the Dong New Year and immerse myself in its festive atmosphere. The guesthouse is located near the Lituan Drum Tower; it's easy to find using a map, and the main street is just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all necessary toiletries provided. It was very quiet at night, and the landlady was warm and friendly. The Dong New Year parade, the traditional rice-making activity, the long table banquet, the Lusheng (a type of reed pipe instrument) competition, and the bonfire party were all part of the vibrant activities. I experienced the customs and traditions of the Dong people in southeastern Guizhou Province – a truly worthwhile trip. Choosing this guesthouse during your trip to Zhaoxing Dong Village is definitely the right decision; the stay was excellent. They offer one free pick-up/drop-off service from the high-speed rail station, making your trip hassle-free. The owner is very welcoming and helped with your luggage upstairs. You can ask him to recommend restaurants in the village, and you might even get a discount. The owner previously came to Guiyang as a volunteer teacher and is also a photographer. If you need travel photography services, feel free to contact him. Be bold and chat with him to unlock more of his side talents—highly recommended! The floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views and beautiful scenery, perfect for taking photos. The rooms are clean and tidy, with interior design that combines ethnic style with modern aesthetics, creating a fresh and interesting atmosphere. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the entrance to the Dong village and the main street. Because it's separated from the main street by a river and a row of houses, you won't be bothered by noise at night; the natural white noise of the flowing river adds to the tranquility.

The address of the B&B is in Zhongzhai, just a minute’s walk past the Internet celebrity tower P1! There are a lot of food and drinks at the door. Since it is a little far away from the main street, it is very quiet. It is quiet in the bustle. You can have a good sleep at night. The room is also very big. The boss is a super nice sister. I came to stay alone and just in time. I went to her house for steamed sweet potatoes, and for free I got the taro and sweet potatoes from the shop owner’s sister’s house 🍠 When I came back from watching the iron flower in the evening, I happened to meet the shop owner’s sister after finishing her meal, and invited me to eat with her. I tried the local specialty beef soup, hot and sour, delicious! Her dog pudding is so good! Super cute like a doll 🧸The drone fried chicken at night. My sister also helped contact the police and picked up the drone for me. The store is so easy to mess with. I will stay here again next time I come! !

Sharing my personal experience: Spur of the moment decision for a May Day road trip to Guizhou, with Zhaoxing Dong Village as our first stop. The B&B contacted us in advance to confirm our arrival time. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed train station/scenic area entrance. Since we drove, we parked at the scenic area entrance, and after a few minutes' walk through ticket verification, they picked us up. The pick-up vehicle was a private car, and the staff member carried our luggage the whole way. It was a five-minute drive to the village entrance, then a 10-minute walk to the B&B. The last few minutes involved an uphill climb, but they helped with the luggage, so I personally didn't mind. Unless you're an elderly person who struggles with stairs, there's really nothing to complain about. The views from the top are excellent. The B&B is located slightly behind the center of the main street, making it very quiet at night. As for soundproofing, we went to bed quite late, and there was hardly any noise. On the way, the staff member gave us basic information about the village. It didn't matter that we hadn't planned anything; he offered suggestions based on our arrival time, the weather, and our travel goals, which I really appreciated (a day is definitely enough for this village). Breakfast: We woke up at 10 AM, and after asking, the staff member saved breakfast for us. We also requested to have it delivered to our room, which they accommodated – very satisfied with this. Regarding the room: The decor isn't luxurious, but it's very clean, and you can tell they maintain high cleaning standards. Using the bathtub cover can be a bit cumbersome, but it's usable. The bedding was my favorite – very comfortable. For a B&B, I think cleanliness is key, and I'm not overly picky. They provided complimentary fruit, and the water was VOSS. The toiletries were excellent; the shampoo felt very natural, and the dental kit was good too. Much better than the ones at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village the next day; I should have taken some, but I forgot. Before departure, they would ask for our approximate leaving time in advance and arrange transport to the station. They would also help send our luggage to a station outside the scenic area, so we could just go explore. After exploring, we'd walk to the village entrance, and the car would already be there – very convenient. (I even asked the owner to chill some fruit for me, so I didn't have to go back for it when leaving; everything was arranged perfectly). The price we booked was 1350, due to the May Day peak season. For this price, the hardware facilities were decent, but what left the deepest impression on me was the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, every staff member we encountered had a constant, warm smile. Even the auntie who cooked breakfast was very friendly, making the start of our holiday very pleasant. I rarely write reviews and rarely stay in B&Bs. No one asked me for a good review when we checked out, so I'm writing this to express my gratitude. We arrived at 7 PM and checked out at 2 PM the next day. We watched a performance, ate sour soup fish, and did a travel photoshoot – it was perfect. Definitely worth experiencing.

Excellent stay, excellent service, very kind and helpful boss and wife. Location is easy to walk to everywhere. Room and bathroom was spacious, bed comfortable. I stayed 2 nights and slept very well. The boss picked me from and sent me to Congjiang High Speed Railway station. Would highly recommend this place

Fantastic stay at Bula Lakeside Hotel! Clean room with amazing lake view at the beginning of Zhaoxing Dong village. Hot water and heating worked without any problems. WIFI also worked. I would like to thank the staff the most - the girl at the reception who we communicated with via WeChat and a translator. We are foreigners who don't speak Chinese and she didn't speak English, but we managed everything. Also the gentleman who came to the train station to pick us up to make our way to the hotel easier. We also appreciate his cooking skills as he prepared a perfect dinner for us. I absolutely recommend this hotel and if we ever come back, we will stay here again. Thank you again for the nice time.

The service was excellent, the landlady was very friendly and kind. For the price, the facilities and scenery were exceptional, making it very cost-effective. The landlady readily upgraded our room because of the view of the rice paddies from the window. However, there are many hidden costs in this scenic area. Although the owner provided pick-up from the train station, you still need to pay an additional 20 yuan to get to the high-speed rail station. Parking at the entrance costs 20 yuan, and the daily entrance fee is 80 yuan. If you want to visit the rice terraces, you need to pay for a sightseeing bus. Personally, I didn't find any good food inside the scenic area. In short, unless you have a strong fascination with the architecture of Guizhou's ethnic minorities, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Environment: Zhaoxing is now free of charge with ID cards from Guangdong Province. Take the high-speed rail to Congjiang Station, and there is a bus to Zhaoxing next to the bus. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the bus to the B&B. The B&B is in Xiaoxing. On the mountainside, the scenery is really first-class. Hygiene: It's very quiet. It's really comfortable to sleep. When I get up and open the curtains, I see the scenery of the village and feel that all my worries are thrown away. Facilities: The hot and cold water in the room is powerful, the hot water comes quickly, and the air conditioner is also very powerful. Service: Xiage recommended by the boss is well worth a visit.

The service was attentive and it offered great value for money. You can't go wrong choosing this place when traveling to the area; I'll definitely choose it again next time. The front desk lady was gentle and thoughtful; she made check-in efficient and smooth, and even proactively recommended local attractions and patiently answered our travel questions. The attention to detail was really heartwarming. The most delightful surprise at the hotel was the intangible cultural heritage batik handcraft experience. A professional teacher provided hands-on instruction, guiding us from sketching patterns and indigo dyeing to drying the finished product. It was an immersive experience into the charm of traditional craftsmanship, and we could take home our unique handmade creations as a memorable souvenir.
