As the name implies, these are serviced apartments, it’s not a hotel. The location is slightly further from the beach than most tourist conveniences, but Paje is not big (we’re talking anbout 350m), and not being on the centre of tourism suits me better. It is quiet, has everything one needs, and John, the manager, was great. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I might suggest was a discomfort, was that when we had one of the notorious big island-wide blackouts for almost 12 hours, Nebo wasn’t the most prepared. I actually come from a country that has struggled with constant electricity for several years. Generators, solar lights, and more than anything, reassurance for tourists who may not know the area, are useful. The cooker is gas, and cellphones come with torches, so I was completely fine. It just would have been good I think, given how quiet it was, to check. I’d still recommend it.

The hotel is incredible. If you are looking for some peace and privacy look no further. Beautiful rooms, spotless and green territory, attention to every detail. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff will make your stay memorable.

My stay at Samawa Living was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I arrived, I felt an incredible sense of warmth and care from the staff. As a solo traveller, I was made to feel so safe and seen, which made the experience even more special. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’d like to give a special thanks to Kadogo, Hashimu, Baby, Asha, and the rest of the amazing team who went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Their genuine kindness and attentive service stood out in every interaction. The location of the hotel was perfect – close to the iconic Paje Beach, with convenient access via buggy, so I could enjoy the beauty of the area while still retreating to the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The boho vibes of Samawa Living were stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a cosy and serene environment. From the delicious meals to the immaculate rooms and tranquil ambience, everything about Samawa Living exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for a safe, stylish, and welcoming place to stay in the Paje area, I highly recommend it.

This was such a nice stay. Starting with the staff which was so kind, helpful and attended to any queries quickly. The place itself is stunning and I loved my room, I just wish there was a big mirror in the room so I could check my fits. They were very big on cleanliness and attention to detail. I would go back there anytime and it is just a 5min walk to the beach, near bento and an atm. The breakfast was also very good. Definitely a 100/10 just on the staff alone❣️ They even got me a hairdryer. The room smelled amazing with the lemongrass. In the room there was also a beach bag with a towel in. It was amazing. The only thing I didn't expect is that they charged me 2dollars city tax for every night I stayed there which was a bit unexpected for me.

This is my second trip to Marea (previously under another name but with the same owners). I only want to talk about how much I like it if you all promise not to book in for the same weeks that I visit again. It’s quiet, which I love, but within walking distance of busier Paje. The rooms are clean, well-sized, have aircon, fans and cute balconies. Some of the rooms have just been redesigned, and I know there are more upgrades in the works. It has a wonderful Neapolitan restaurant, which is helpful because you don’t ever feel like you *need* to hunt for other food. It has a perfectly sized pool which never feels crowded, and not being in the centre of the resort, doesn’t come with lots of eyes gazing in your direction. Most of all, the staff are fantastic. They always have a smile and a kind word. Service is good and easy. It’s a great find for those looking for a boutique family run resort that also doesn’t break the bank.

I am a solo traveler and I was looking for a hotel to rest after my crazy stopovers throughout Zanzibar. The entire hotel team took great care of me. I didn't lack anything. The room was spacious and beautiful with the swimming pool and the small garden. The area is very wooded which means you can come across friendly little animals. Thank you again to the entire team at The Résidence hotel for all the care taken during my stay.

Good value for money resort. Service was very good. We had a late flight and they gave us a free room to have a shower instead of using the pool shower. Really appreciated it. Location is very quite and relaxing, but a bit away from any other places.

This hotel deserves special attention, especially for those who would like to have a premium vacation, but are limited in budget. The villas are luxurious, spacious, all privately located with a garden and private pool. You can't see or hear your neighbors. It reminds me of the Maldives, only there such rooms cost thousands of dollars. The territory is large, well-groomed, very clean, it is pleasant to walk along it, those who take care of it deserve a gold medal. The hotel security in the form of Masai warriors is very unusual, it adds its own twist. Panoramic open-air restaurant. The views are stunning. The beach is clean, private, there is no one except hotel guests, the sand is white and soft. The ocean is clean. The time of the ebb and flow of the tide is convenient. The tides are early in the morning and after lunch, when the sun is no longer aggressive. Perhaps there is not such a variety in the choice of dishes, but it is delicious. Freshly squeezed juices for breakfast. The staff may not be as well trained, but this is reflected in the price. And still, a big thank you to them. I really liked it and highly recommend it.

Если кратко - это райский отель в очень красивом месте с прекрасной территорией, просторными номерами, очень приветливым персоналом и чудесной кухней. Но по порядку. В отель мы приехали после двухдневного сафари и нашей целью был полный релакс вдали от шума и суеты. И это оправдалось на 100%. РАСПОЛОЖЕНИЕ. Зависит от ваших целей. Если цели совпадают с нашими - полный релакс в уединённом месте с питанием внутри отеля, то расположение просто идеальное. Если вы хотите, например, питаться в других местах или проводить вечера вне отеля, то придётся пользоваться такси или арендной машиной. ОТЕЛЬ. Прекрасная ухоженная территория, чистый бассейн, отличные виды на океан и удобный спуск в море по ступенькам. На територии есть мини ферма специй, по которой вам может провести бесплатную экскурсию персонал с рецепции. Бассейн чистый, его можно использовать без ограничений по времени. НОМЕРА. Просторные, если не сказать огромные, чистые, у нас была лоджия с видом на море. Есть всё необходимое. Вода! Говорят, что на Занзибаре водой из-под крана нельзя даже чистить зубы. Мы чистили, всё в порядке, разве что вода чуть солоноватая на вкус (об этом нас предупредили на рецепции). Вода в бутылках для питья обновляется каждый день. ПЕРСОНАЛ. Абсолютно идеальный - очень приветливы, помогают по любому вопросу - доставить багаж, продумать маршрут (мы брали машину для поездок в ресторан The Rock, Jozani Forest и т.д.), экскурсия на по своей ферме специй, помощь в ресторане - всё было очень уютно. РЕСТОРАН. Еда выше всяких похвал, ну прям высокая кухня по местным меркам. Единственное - готовят на обед/ужин долго, но если вы, как мы, никуда не спешите, то это будет особенностью, а не недостатком. Цены средние для Занзибара, всё очень вкусно и красиво. Завтрак отличный - на заказ, вкусно и достаточно всего. Обязательно попробуйте сок из авокадо - мы его пили литрами и хотим теперь повторить эксперимент дома)) МОРЕ И ОТЛИВЫ. В приливы можно купаться со ступенек, в отливы можно застать потрясающие виды - здесь отливы очень красивые. ПАРКОВКА. Мы брали машину для поездок, её можно припарковать на территории отеля под навесом, в километре от отеля есть заправка. ОБЩЕЕ ВПЕЧАТЛЕНИЕ. Вспоминаем как 3 дня в раю!
