AAng_ieOur time at Clarion Hotel The Pier was marked by warm hospitality and thoughtful details. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location struck a perfect balance—quiet and relaxing, yet just a short trip into the city center. From the hotel, the skyline and water views were beautiful, adding to the calm atmosphere. We especially appreciated the studio room with its kitchenette, which made a longer stay both practical and comfortable. And every morning, breakfast was brightened by the welcoming chef, a lovely lady with striking red hair, whose kindness made the meal feel even more special.

Then when checking out, we had 3 interactions with the reception about checking out prior to checking out. and only the one at 12:30 (when checking out with luggage and all), we were told to pay a 200SEK late-fee, which I was then told could’ve been even higher and that I should be thankful they didn’t charge me double…
Not nice - and we had 3 interactions prior to this for this exact reason. I wanted to work out first and then shower in the room before leaving. If we were told the first time about the late check out fee; we would’ve checked out then and there.
I complained about this practice, to deaf ears. Not coming back despite it being very nice and perfect for a Liseberg weekend with the family

The central station square is right in front of the hotel, making it a great place to meet people from all over the world. We stayed there for seven consecutive nights.

MMelvin_NgI was staying on 8-9 september for 1 night. Facilities in the hotel are surprisingly good and the sauna was perfect. Room are nice and tidy. Toilets are a bit small but its clean and have everything you need. The breakfast have a wide range of selections with hot and cold plates. Specially appreciate Susanne, Iren & Andita showing us useful informations in the area by patiently answering our questions and showing exceptional Standard of customer service. Will be staying in the same hotel if I'm travelling to Sweden again.

GGuest UserExtremely well located in the centre of Gothenburg, directly opposite the central railway station, and the departure point of the airport bus. Nice restaurant and bar. Size of the room average but great to relax on the soft comfortable bed. Breakfast was very welcome and a good selection of Scandinavian offerings. Just nearby to a shopping mall so OK for essentials / fast food.
It is also within a short distance (5 mins walk) of the Botanical Gardens which had a colourful and varied array of horticulture - great for a walk and a bit of exercise after your flight.

Being just a short, pleasant 10-minute walk from the central station was incredibly convenient. This made arriving and departing effortless, and exploring the city using public transport was a breeze. The service I encountered throughout the hotel was consistently great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any queries I had were addressed promptly and with genuine care. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and yogurts, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was also noteworthy, making for a delightful start to each day. Overall, the Scandic Göteborg Central offered a comfortable and convenient base for my time in Gothenburg. Its perfect location near the central station, coupled with the great service and delicious breakfast, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

GGuest UserWe arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress
which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu
board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant.
We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday.
The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests.
In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg.
Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

LleimonThis hotel is very walking east of the train center station, very inconspicuous turntable, but it has been for a hotel group, and it has been renovated, so it is very good, there is access control, the first time the doorbell is good, the elevator is old-fashioned.
The room is small and complete, suitable for two people or more people, one person can also be, the price is slightly more expensive.
The front desk on the first floor is the content of the picture, 24 hours coffee biscuits and juice, there is no water in the room, you can drink it.
Breakfast is very good, the type is OK, it is also a place to drink water on the first floor. From 4 pm to 9 pm, flour is also provided for guests to make waffles for themselves. In short, the newly renovated, still quiet, the central station is ten minutes away, there is a tram stop next to it, breakfast, the price can be selected within 500, but this is not the city, the outside is not lively, the supermarket also has a coop, eating less. So, take what you need.
