GGuest UserWe had a very nice “luxury overwater bungalow” which was in good shape. The lagoon was a dream, you can directly enter from you terrasse and have plenty of fishes in the coral guarden. Yet we heard many complaints from other guests about the “superior overwAter bungalows” which seemed in not good shape.
Service felt like non-existing, especially as we were in StRegis Bora Bora before. As we and some others were arriving early, they parked us in the lobby area for several hours and also after several reminders did not manage to fill up coffee and water. (This Time could also be used to show people the Ressort or bring them to lunch as other hotels in this price area manage to do).
Breakfast was decent, but again very bad and slow service (with the only highlight being the customer crazy guy preparing your eggs and pancakes, sorry forgot his name he made my day). Getting your coffee or tea might take ages, sometimes not coming at all. They also took ages to remove used plates from tables, resulting in bird invasion everywhere.
Dinner was mediocre at best.

-wireless is very bad and slow everywhere
Conclusion: lagoon is very beautiful, but overall experience in the hotel does by far not match the price level. They have to step up a lot!

GGuest UserDecent place in a nice location but the reef has been mostly destroyed near the resort. The biggest problem was that the water was not drinkable (so also not suitable for brushing teeth)! At this price I would expect basic things like this to be in place. I ran out of water one night and had no way of getting anything to drink without walking for over an hour to the nearest water station.
The staff were nice but the food was uninspiring and overpriced. The rooms were simple but OK.

GGuest UserJ’ai adoré mon séjour au Fare Maheata ! Je dormais dans le dortoir qui est très chaleureux. Le lit est très confortable. Une serviette de douche est fournie ce qui est très pratique. L’hôtel a une très belle vue sur la lagon et une plage privée. Il est très bien situé, proche d’une plage publique et de la baie d’Opunohu dans laquelle on peut faire du snorkeling pour voir requins, raies et tortues ! Le personnel est ultra attentionné et donne de bons conseils. Je recommande à 100% et je reviendrai ici si je reviens à Moorea !
