This place is nothing but FANTASTIC!!!! ONE OF THE BEST PLACES WE HAVE EVER STAYED. The owner was very friendly and helpful; even gave us a lift to the historical town which was a 10 mins drive. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious! The building was originally built in the 1500s yet felt modern and cozy!!! I couldn't recommend it more

I visited with my family as part of a trip to Andong, as I had plans nearby. Overall, I got the impression that this place has quite distinct pros and cons. **Pros** 1. The location is truly outstanding. Most major tourist attractions, such as Galbi Alley, Mammoth Bakery, Jjimdak Alley, and Talchum Park, are within a 10-minute walk. It is convenient to return after a casual drink in the evening, and the route is easy as there are famous salted mackerel restaurants nearby. It is also great for taking a walk or a light run in the morning while admiring the cherry blossoms near Talchum Park. 2. Breakfast is provided free of charge (08:00–10:00). It includes bread, yogurt, cereal, and coffee, which is sufficient for a simple meal. However, it felt like water and coffee were provided on a limited basis according to the number of guests, so it was somewhat disappointing for a leisurely stay. 3. The amenities are relatively well-equipped. Most basic items, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, cleansing foam, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion, are provided, so you do not need to pack a lot of luggage. Disadvantages My initial impression was positive, as the room looked neat on the outside and offered many amenities. However, upon actually using it, I felt that the quality of each element was slightly lacking. 1. Styler It was provided, so I looked forward to using it, but it did not work and an error occurred. Consequently, I was unable to use it. 2. Electric Blanket Despite booking a twin room, the electric blanket was installed on only one of the beds. I was left with a sense of disappointment, wondering if it would not have been more natural for two people to be assigned the same conditions for each bed, given the room configuration. 3. Room Cleaning Before Checkout This was the most disconcerting part. The room was cleaned while I briefly stepped away for breakfast before checkout time (11:00). I was quite surprised to find signs that someone had been there when I returned, and I also felt uneasy because my personal belongings had been left untouched. Furthermore, it was unclear whether the bedding had been replaced in such a short time or if it was merely a simple cleaning, raising questions regarding hygiene. Above all, the fact that the cleaning was carried out while I still had time remaining felt somewhat hasty, and as a guest, it was an uncomfortable experience. While the good location and basic conveniences are certainly advantages, the attention to detail in the actual usage process seems to need a bit more improvement.

Really convenient to be near lots of restaurants, there is a really good bakery cafe in the same building & coupons for the bar across the road. Breakfast included in the stay is basic with eggs, toast and fried rice. There is juice but no coffee. Rooms are huge as is the bath. Only minor thing was the light switches are meant to be remote controlled but that didn’t work so you have to manually go to the switches on the wall near the door. Would stay again.

아이들과 역사투어 중인데 이번 여행지는 안동이었습니다. 고택체험하고자 300년 역사를 지닌 이상루에서 하루 묵었는데 어떻게 생각하고 머무냐에 따라 만족과 불만족이 나눠질 수 있을 것 같습니다! 저희처럼 아이들과의 역사적 공간에서의 체험, 경험에 의미를 두고 시설은 상관없다라고 생각하고 간다면 머문 것만으로도 경험이자 추억이 될 것 같습니다 요새 정갈하게 잘 차려진 호텔이나 숙소의 서비스를 생각하신다면 화장실이나 위치적으로도 불편하실 수 있을 것 같습니다! 개인적으로 아이들에게 추억할 수 있는 공간만으로도 좋은 경험이었던 것 같습니다. 주인 할머님께서도 친절하셨습니다!

The room was bigger than expected There are amenities on a double bed & a single bed This price is really good value for money The cleaning was clean. It was non-smoking, so it was comfortable without cigarette smell. I recommend it

It was my second trip to Andong with a friend in more than 10 years, and the Chiamgotok hostel was really a god. Last time I stayed in Hahoe Village, Andong, and it was a pity that it took too long to move. Chiamgotak is close to Andong Station/Market (taxi ride 5-10 minutes), and the atmosphere was so good. Especially if you stay in the Hodo Jae Room, you can use the table space on the floor, and it was so nice to be able to talk and talk overlooking the party and the yard. The room size was small but not very inconvenient because it was a home, the toilet seemed to use the other room in the public toilet, but the hodojae room is separately inside the room. Of course the size is very small. It may be a bit uncomfortable to stay for a long time, but I would definitely recommend staying for a day if you have time.

Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. La struttura è pulita e molto carina. Si trova a circa 10 min a piedi dal terminal dei bus. Comodo per fermarsi una notte e visitare l'Hahoe Village. Davanti al terminal passa anche il bus 210 che porta al villaggio. Tutto molto semplice. Naturalmente se volete alloggiare in centro città non è il luogo adatto perché attorno non c'è assolutamente niente. Bisogna tornare al terminal per trovare qualcosa da mangiare. In questa struttura si viene per il fascino del caffè letterario presente al piano terra. E per i bellissimi gatti che girano liberamente. Colazione ottima, semplice, ma genuina. Unico aspetto negativo a mio parere è il fatto che, pur alloggiando, se vuoi trascorrere del tempo al piano terra dove c'è il caffè si è obbligati a ordinare qualcosa. Non essendoci altri spazi ad uso comune ritengo che gli ospiti dovrebbero essere liberi di sedersi magari nel soppalco lontano dai tavoli della caffetteria. Per di più che la caffetteria è sempre vuota, non ho visto nessuna persona esterna entrare. A mio parere poi se un ospite si siede lì, si gode la compagnia dei gatti, dopo un po', è lui stesso ad essere invogliato a ordinare qualcosa. Ma in questo modo, obbligando gli ospiti a ordinare, credo che predispongano negativamente una persona.

The hotel rooms were very clean and well-equipped, with a touch of antique charm. Special praise goes to the front desk staff; although there was only one person there, and he wasn't even sitting at the front desk, he appeared as soon as we pressed the bell and resolved our issues. It was our first time in Andong, and we were short on time and unfamiliar with the attractions. He provided us with a pre-prepared guide to the tourist sites and their parking times, explaining everything clearly. This allowed us to fulfill our wish to visit Hahoe Village within a very limited timeframe.

Had a good stay here. I loved the central location, because all the local attractions and local buses are within walking distance. Besides, Iit is only about 20 minutes by bus from the Andong KTX/Expressbus station. The bedroom was clean. I had to get used to having no sheet, but to have sleep under the plaid directly. In the bathroom there was a little problem, but they took care of it right away when I asked them too.

Far from the city and there is no shop nearby. Great when you want to spend quietly. I felt like I was alone at night because there was too little sound. When I told him that I was rehabilitating, he politely told me to go back and forth to the tourist spot. It was very helpful because my husband speaks English and Japanese. The building was very old and the steps were large and difficult, but I felt that it was my wife's hobby that there were many beautiful and cute accessories in the room.
