Hotels with Parking in Upper Normandy

This was a wonderful stay. The location was great, very close to a supermarket as well as a petrol station. The very first night they recommended a fantastic local bistro. We had a wonderful meal. The room was clean, it was lovely and cool. The AC was very, very welcome because we were here during quite the heatwave. Yes okay it's summer but, oh my god, 35 degrees Celsius is a lot to deal with. Didier and Lara were incredibly welcoming. The breakfasts were utterly incredible. We felt incredibly spoiled. We had delicious, fresh pastries. We had beautiful yoghourts. We had lovely fruit purées. We had poached eggs. Nothing was too much trouble. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The pink grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed. It was really really delicious! What was really nice is that we stayed for three nights. What was really lovely was that we'd come back each day and our room had been tidied and the beds had been made. We had always turned off the air conditioning so it was really nice to come home to our accommodation. The AC was on so the room was already lovely and cool by the time we got in. I would happily stay there again. Wonderful host, friendly, not in your face, just really really welcoming, and we would absolutely stay there again.

Overall, these are very decent apartments with a good location. Despite the windows facing the road, it was very quiet; the road didn't disturb my sleep, and the traffic wasn't heavy. The air conditioning worked well, which was crucial given the 35-degree heat in Rouen. Now for the bad part. Nowhere, neither on the Accor website where these apartments are listed, nor on Trip.com where they were booked, is there any mention of a required deposit of 150 euros. This constitutes a failure to provide clients with important, accurate information. This feels rather shady, gentlemen! When you take advantage of your clients, who are tired after a journey, and force them to choose between paying a deposit or sleeping on the street. Especially since the stay was already paid for with a non-refundable rate. As a client, I SHOULD have known about this in advance. But you failed to provide me with this information, which is confirmed in writing by Trip.com support. If a deposit is taken, there should be an inventory of the room's contents, because if there's any damage, you have the right to refer to that inventory. There was nothing of the sort here. Yet, the money was blocked. Now you can just invent any damage for the client, can't you? Don't you value your reputation? I will not stay at an Adagio property again, and I won't recommend them to others.

The location is excellent, the old town is within a few steps, and the train station is within walking distance. The interior of the hotel combines tradition and modernity. The swimming pool on the lower floor of the lobby is a highlight of the hotel, with moderate water temperature and a quiet environment. The hotel is affiliated with Marriott Group and the service is in place. After the guests check in, the front desk of the hotel must be praised by the non-luggage service staff accompanying the room. The service has not been experienced by the domestic five-star hotel. Breakfast Western style, small and exquisite environment, the only regret is that there is no Asian variety.

Most importantly: security issues! This morning, a strange man entered our room, as if by mistake; we don't know how he opened the door! There are no glasses, kettle, slippers, or napkins in the room. I had a cold and needed hot water for my medication. One staff member was fine; he told me to fill it up from the coffee machine. Then, another night, another staff member rushed up to me and said that water wasn't allowed and that it was only for breakfast. The breakfasts were okay, typical for a small hotel.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite well located: there's public transport nearby (buses, trams, trains, etc.). There's also a shopping center a 7-minute walk away. The beach is a bit far (about a 30-minute walk), but since we didn't have a car, we were able to rent bicycles and electric scooters from the city.

Here's a unique hotel - housed in a old mansion from the 1900s. This means that each room in the original wing is a little different and 'eclectic'. There's also a new wing with newer rooms, a spa, a swimming pool (sorta heated), a bistro and a 1 Michelin star restaurant. Pros: - Unique style of hotel that's set away from the hustle/bustle of the Etritat town. - Helpful staff - Complimentary bakes and hot drinks from 4-6pm - Michelin-star restaurant on site (but it was closed during our visit) - Comfortable beds, good water pressure and a bathtub - Professional grade Nespresso machine in-room with 4 pods (2x decaf) + nice tea bags - Grounds are cute, with a resident cat, fireplace and pleasant garden-ish spaces. Cons: - Cleanliness - we discovered a swarm of ants crawling behind the curtain. We think it was some food that wasn't cleaned away from the previous guest that attracted the ants. This was gross. - Room styling may not be to everyone's tastes - suggest you ask to view a room before you move your luggage in. - Narrow stairs to rooms in main building, was abit hard to get luggage up to but they can get help if needed. - Location could be a con for some as it's a good 10-12 min walk into the main down down a high. - Parking spaces were limited. - Breakfast is pricey at 25 euro - there's a great boulangerie in town Maison Piquenot that you can get good croissants, baguettes from. - Overall abit pricey for the value you get.

We were greeted courteously at reception, and our room was ready 1.5 hours before check-in. The hotel offers paid parking, but with a free EV charger. It's a very convenient 15-minute walk from the city center.

If you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley. Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!! We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us. Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady. Just go. Dont hesitate.

The main building of the property is beautiful but has a tight parking space, which… needs to be booked ahead.. and we didn’t know . Anyway, also be aware that there are 3 buildings within the property, 1min walk to each other, and in winter at the dark of the evening, it is not really convenient to go from one place to another one. Anyway. Fact is that the 2 buildings we were presented are beautiful, fully renovated, warm and nicely decorated. Well done. Breakfast was also very good; I just think that the breakfast timing mngt of the various bedrooms run off… as people were queuing up, waiting for tables. My advice: wake up early, go breakfast early! ;-) Again very nice mansion and service.

Далековато от центра, и рядом такая глушь ) прибыла в Рождество, и спасибо сотрудникам или гостям, которые помогли получить код для электронного замка. Номер хороший, тихий. Большая кровать, проблем с водой тоже не было. До станции жд 40 минут пешком. В минутах 20 есть торговый центр с Ашаном. Не хватает чайника в номере, это было бы прям плюсом его добавить. А так бюджетный хороший вариант.
