The entrance to the Dai village is just outside the hotel's main street, and there's a small market across from the nearby school, offering both simple and Dai cuisine. Larger restaurants require a car. A large stretch of farmland lies just outside the hotel. It's quiet and airy. The town of Dajintanayun is within walking distance. There are no buses in Menglian, only electric motorcycles and taxis.
