"Really enjoyed my stay here. The gardens are teeming with birds and I saw wild Toucans. The restaurant is great and the food is good. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. The location is perfect for visiting the Mayan ruins. I would definitely recommend this place."

"A surprisingly nice hotel with a clean spacious room, including interior air conditioning and a private balcony. The hotel includes spaces to relax, a decent restaurant offering some local cuisine choices. It is also well located for easy taxi access to the airport and Tren Maya station, and it is walkable to reach the town (although not a scenic walk along the main road - but there is a big supermarket 10 minutes down the road which is a handy to buy snacks for day excursions)."

"The place is nice. If you are not 100% an animal lover, I do not recommend it. There are several not very nice animals hanging around the hotel. And there is a lot of noise at night, the rooms have quite a few insects, such as ants, those that don't bite but climb on your things or clothes. I would recommend the place to fumigate the rooms, out there they have a pretty nice Alberta area. To leave the hotel you have to order a taxi or arrive by car."

"On the plus side our room was huge, lovely interior and the stunning swimming pool in the gardens has one of the best outlooks of any pool we have ever been to..the staff are also friendly and willing.. However, the food is at best dull and at lunch time after hunting around for a staff member it took ages for the food to arrive and the food quality poor. We asked about the tour advertised at the reception desk and the information they could provide was non existent and the price kept changing. When we did establish it, whilst I understand hotels make a mark up on these tours the price difference between their figures and the cost of booking directly online was so substantial that we booked directly. The hot water in the shower was also problematic in that it could become scalding, erratically. Finally, it all just seemed a bit disorganised.. maybe just a blip which I hope they get over, but frankly I just feel the presence and input from good management is what is needed because this could potentially have been the best hotel of a long trip!"
