I have stayed in the best homestay, the boss is really very, very good, very sentimental. 1. I have been chatting with the boss before I came. I asked this and that. The boss was very enthusiastic to answer. I felt embarrassed to be polite, so I brought Yunnan and Hunan specialties to the boss. People are mutual. 2. The boss’s cooking sentence is good. My friend and I bought the dishes for the boss to make. I dare to say that it is 10 times better than the outside. Hahaha, I sincerely suggest that you try the boss’s craftsmanship. After eating, I have been talking to us about life and ideals. During the chat, we also sent us beer. The money for the processing materials also reduced me by 20 yuan. 3. Because we came here in the off-season, the boss upgraded us to the best room. We can see the sunrise from the room early in the morning, which is great. 4. The breakfast boss gave us free, and hot juice, really special care. 5. (This one was added by my friend) The boss is very easygoing, kind, and always provides constructive advice. Location: The location of the hotel is very good, the left hand temple dry beach, the right hand big pit beach, you can take children to step on the waves, catch the sea, there is a whole set of sea tools in the store, superb. Environment: Facing the sea, opening your eyes is the sea, the land people are ecstatic. Hygienic: Hygiene is very good, clean and odorless, and the children are also very happy to sleep. Breakfast: Breakfast is good, there are soy milk, fruit, white porridge and various snacks on the island, it is very comfortable to eat, and there is no pressure. Service: There is a dock to pick up the car, and there is a car to pick up the hotel when you get off the boat, which is still very convenient. I accidentally lost the bathtub plug in the room with the bath bag, and the boss did not care about it. Next time you come, the sea is really beautiful.

One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh. First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle. The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got. They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai. Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure! Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

Traveling beyond expectations, the time is very fast, staying on Shengshan Island for less than a day, and I was worried about the traffic on the island at the beginning. When the boss said that we could provide chartered service, it really made us less trouble. We drove us everywhere. We played a lot of scenic spots in a small half-day time. We also took us to chase the sunset. We sent us to see the sunrise in the morning. The service was too good. In terms of accommodation, the homestay is right by the sea. Sitting on the edge of the bay window, you can see the sea view. The restaurant is also by the sea and the scenery is not bad. There is also a swimming pool at the homestay. If the weather is hot, you can bring children to play in the water.

The environment is quiet and natural. The ingredients are fresh, all eaten at the homestay, and you need to order in advance. It turns out that my decision is completely correct, the proprietress is delicious and the price is close to the people. It is far more delicious and affordable than the food stalls outside. After dinner, go for a walk on the beach. I went back to the homestay for breakfast the next day, and then I could eat it. It was very rich and full. The last meal I bought seafood for the proprietress to process, like this seafood.

The guesthouse is tucked away in a quiet corner of the countryside, so peaceful at night you can hear insects chirping and frogs croaking. The decor is comfortable, and the rooms are quite nice, easily accommodating two adults and two children, with a balcony. I noticed a slight odor in the room, but my family thought it was fine. Opening the balcony door, the air was filled with the pungent smell of fertilizer freshly applied to crops – nauseating! Restaurants nearby are expensive and unappetizing; I recommend renting a car to eat in the county town. The room clearly includes breakfast, but when we inquired in the morning, they said it wasn't prepared and required advance booking – please remember this. Although there was a small sign indicating it, we weren't informed during check-in and ended up spending 90 yuan on takeout. The 20 yuan beach voucher included with the booking was ignored; we didn't ask about it. In conclusion, the service was poor, the experience was mediocre, and I wouldn't go back.

The room facing the sea is nice. Note that the weather at sea is very changeable. Just looking at the forecast is not enough. Fortunately, the boss reminded me, otherwise I would get up at four o'clock and go there and see nothing.

After arriving in Shengsi from Sanjiang Wharf, you can go directly to the Bainaqi Lake Beach Hotel for check-in. The two locations are about 3 kilometers apart, a mere 8-minute drive. The hotel is just a short walk from the hotel, leading directly to Bainaqi Lake Beach, known as the ”Southern Beidaihe,” with its fine, soft sand, making it a core base for exploring Shengsi's islands. It's recommended to head straight to Bainaqi Lake Beach after dropping off your luggage on your first day. During the day, you can enjoy water sports such as beach go-karts, jet skis, and banana boats, or simply walk barefoot on the sand and splash in the waves, relaxing on a beach chair and enjoying the sea breeze. In the evening, watch the sunset paint the sea orange, creating stunning photos. After nightfall, stroll along the nearby Jinsha Road seafood street and enjoy a fresh seafood barbecue. If you're lucky, you might even catch a beach bonfire party. For a more off-the-beaten-path experience, bring a small flashlight and search for small crabs and clams on the beach – a truly fun activity. On the second day, we recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise over the sea at Liujingtan or Heshangtao. The white lighthouse against the orange glow of dawn is a classic photo opportunity in Shengsi. Before heading back, you can visit the Donghai Fishing Ground Museum to learn about Shengsi's fishing culture, or cycle along the Left Bank Road, enjoying the sea breeze and the stunning scenery of cliffs, flower fields, and fishing villages blending together. Afterwards, head to the Bernabéu Hotel to rest, as it's a convenient departure point for your return trip to Shenjiawan Wharf. The temperature difference between day and night on the island is significant, so we recommend bringing a light jacket. When playing on the beach, remember to wear sunscreen and comfortable sandals. Driving is convenient. We suggest booking ferry tickets in advance through official channels, and be sure to allow ample time to reach the wharf.

The boat back to Shanghai was canceled, so we had to stay overnight. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from the pier, new, clean, and well-maintained. Check-in was quick and efficient. While the staff were not fully familiar with foreign guest registration, they handled it professionally and made an effort to resolve everything smoothly. We booked two rooms, both spacious and well-equipped. Service was responsive, extra towels and slippers arrived almost immediately after we requested them. Breakfast exceeded expectations, mostly Chinese options, with decent coffee. Overall, a very solid choice for a spontaneous overnight stay.

The twin room with a mountain view balcony offers an amazing view. Waking up to lush greenery in the morning and enjoying the peaceful tranquility at night was wonderful. The two beds were spacious and separate, ensuring privacy. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the breeze was very pleasant. The room was clean and the facilities were new. It's also close to Jihu Beach, making it convenient for activities.
