"The room we booked was not marked as -1st floor. It was obviously a basement with a window. The front desk had a bad attitude and said there were no other rooms. We arrived in the middle of the night and almost early in the morning. We had no choice but to stay. The smell of sewerage was very strong. Seriously, how clean can a basement be? The external environment of the hotel is quite good"

"Our third stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location in the village of Mijas, short walk to everything and right beside the bus stop. It is a traditional spanish hotel, very clean and the staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. The pool area is very peaceful, plenty of sun loungers and choice to lay by the pool or on the large terrace where you can take in the beautiful views. The buffet breakfast was well organised and there was a good choice of hot and cold food and a manned station where fried eggs, bacon and omlettes were made to order while you waited. We had a basic room but it was more than adequate wirh comfortable beds, tv, air con, fridge, hairdryer etc and was cleaned every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again."

"Mijas residence is a gem near Malaga. It is a beautiful, small-scale accommodation with great facilities. The apartments are wonderfully private and fully equipped, each apartment also has its own terrace with dining table and sun beds. There is also a large communal garden with jacuzzi, swimming pool, barbecue and bar. You can visit all kinds of places from the apartment, but at Mijas itself you can also just relax and enjoy."
