Oakhill ★★★★
"非常好! A very lovely place!"
High Tor Hotel ★★★
"A wonderful, quiet location with plenty of free parking and an extremely warm welcome,The hotel could do with a little tender care, as parts of it were disintegrating and in poor repair. The window frames, which are unfortunately rotting away, along with slipped, broken roof tiles due to lack of maintenance. We were a little disappointed that we could not order our tasty evening Indian meal from the on-site restaurant to eat in our room after a long day out and about, and instead had to eat in the poorly lit restaurant, so much so that I could not read the menu with the tiny writing and poor design colors. I would not stay again, as what was described as a standard double room on the second floor was in a converted half-eve loft with no view out of the roof windows. The ensuite was adequate, with a good shower; towels, soap and body wash were included, though only one pair of slippers. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, which, in my opinion, was too expensive for what it is."
Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath ★★★
"Simple house on the hillside"
Grouse & Claret, Matlock by Marston's Inns ★★★★
"I reserved a room at this place in this small town solely because I wanted to leave my luggage at the hotel in the morning so I can visit the Chatsworth House freely but the morning staff refused to take my luggage so I had to drag the heavy luggage changing buses to Chatsworth. In the afternoon when I asked about this matter, the staff in the afternoon said leaving my luggage was possible and wondered why the morning staff refused to accept it. I think what the morning staff did was clearly discrimination and hatred towards Asian travelers like me. Also this place has a bar and a restaurant which were pretty noisy until quite late. So if you want a quiet place to relax, think twice. The room was very clean and organized but the hair dryer and the shampoo dispenser were broken. The evening staff tried to help but they seemed very busy taking care of the inn, the bar, and the restaurant at the same time. It was the most unpleasant experience of my life."
Premier Inn Matlock ★★★
"The best part about the hotel is the staff, incredibly friendly and helpful, especially one member of staff called Callum who welcomed us and helped us to check in. The food is lovely and the accommodation is very nice and very clean. Would definitely stay here again."
New Bath Hotel & Spa, a Member of Radisson Individuals ★★★
"Staff great, great location but run like faulty towers,Manuel could appear at any moment, shame becoz it's in an ideal location but very confusing layout,no lift n difficult to navigate when u are tired r drunk 🥴"
The Beeley Inn - Chatsworth ★★★★★
"We came back with friends after we enjoyed the afternoon tea here, where we experienced what we thought was a taster of the homemade sausage rolls. Delicious! We decided to order (on our second visit) 2 rolls to share as a starter as they were so good. We ordered 2 at £7 each. It was a bitesize piece. £14 for 2 slices of sausage roll, no bigger than a large lego duplo brick. It was on the nibbles section on the menu, but it needs to be made more clear that it is not a full portion. We soon realised it was a full portion one the afternoon tea. Maybe we should have asked first, but who expects a miniature sausage roll for £7? 3* for the friendly service and the rest of the food. Not one for complaining really, but guys, you really need to look at the pricing for your very small portions. Extremely annoying."
Duke of Wellington ★★★
"Their bar and restaurant are very atmospheric. The environment is also good"
The Family Tree ★★★

The Gables Bed & Breakfast
"I don’t usually write reviews, but my stay at The Gables was so good I felt it deserved one. Sue and her husband went out of their way to make everything enjoyable. The level of care and genuine friendliness they showed is rare to find. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Gables to anyone visiting this part of England — you simply won’t find better hosts."
Ashdale Guesthouse
"What a gem we found. Right in the heart of Matlock Bath, the location was perfect, nothing was too far. Paula and Shaun (and Ralph and Ernie!) we’re the perfect hosts, so warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful, with the most comfy bed, I didn’t want to get up in the morning. Lovely modern bathroom. The place was spotless throughout. Home cooked breakfast was also top notch. We’ve visited Matlock bath many times but never stayed over, I’m so glad we found this place, I would definitely return and 100% recommend this place. Cara & Glynn."
Glendon Bed and Breakfast
The Old Lockup
"Quiet small Victorian hotel with unique set of rooms provides a charming experience. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order which is a nice touch alongside the friendly atmosphere. Wirksworth provides sufficient amenities and food outlets to enjoy locally."
