La Bastide Saint Georges & Spa

"The hotel atmosphere is pleasant. The setting is large and beautiful. The room and bathroom spacious, with a good shower and no water spilling on the floors as it happens in most hotels. The lighting in the room is good and there is a flat screen TV and air conditioned. However, the Wi-Fi was not operative and a message on my Tablet indicated that there was no Wi-Fi connection for lack of payment. It was restored after a whole day without it. The reception service was good, the room clean, nicely decorated and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was also good and items replenished as needed. There is a Spa requiring extra payment. We did not use it. There is also a large restaurant in the premises, nicely decorated and serving tasty dishes and with good service. Be warned that it is pricey! Except for the absence of the Wi-Fi and the air conditioned which was not yet operative in the beginning of May, although the temperature was reaching 25 degrees Celsius, it was a wonderful place, but I would be hesitant to recommend it if you do not have a car, since it is not located in town. To go to town, a taxi is necessary, which good a disadvantage to many, in view that it is a town with 5000 people only and not many cabs. Moreover, they only offer two bottles of water in the room on your first day there. They do not replenish when cleaning the room, otherwise one has to use the ones in the mini fridge offered at inflated prices."

"The hotel facilities were nice, location close to the attractions in Provence. However, any good experience we had was overshadowed by the fact that we had money stolen from a purse in our room by someone on the staff. Instead of offering a solution, the manager refused to even acknowledge that employee committed a theft and made dealing with it our problem on the day we were leaving France. Please be warned."
