Maleny Tropical Retreat
"Wow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good! 1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths. 2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides.. 3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!) 4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic..... 5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper. 6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote. So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat. Cheers, Keith"
Spicers Tamarind Retreat
"It was just an overnight stay, but wow. We arrived at Spicers, tired and a bit jaded from overpriced "fine dining" establishments on our holiday. Our cabin, surrounded by tropical vegetation was gorgeous and well set out. We were hungry, having been let down by another high priced "chef's hatted" establishment and we ordered two mains to be delivered to our cabin. OMG!! We rate them as the best meals of our trip. A crispy white fish and a Duck Green Curry with steamed crab (not what you'd immediately put together but stunning). These two served with rice and a generous complimentary bottle of Prosecco restored our faith. The service was low key but perfect and our meal was delivered and the tray taken away without fanfare. I had a chat with Ty this morning before our departure and he made sure that we'd had a great stay and gave me a jar of chilli oil to take away. Easily the winner on our brief trip. Next time we plan to try a cooking class."
Top of the Hill
"This was a wonderful stay, even if it was just one night. The room was large and super clean. The views are stunning. Breakfast was great too. Would gladly come back again and recommend to others"

Whispering Valley Cottage Retreat
"Behind the polished timber and “family-run” charm lies a heart of ice. They have a 14 day no-cancellation "policy" which blurrs the lines between legal and ethical decency and used this to keep the full $1431.90. We cancelled our stay 9 days in advance due to a genuine medical emergency — not only was our $1431.90 withheld, but every follow-up was met with silence. No compassion, no reply, just a stone wall in place of service. Their brand promises warmth; their actions deliver frostbite. If you honour compassion over policies i urge anybody who reads this to NOT make a booking with Glenn and Angela."
Maleny Lodge
"Exceptional heritage property with comfort and thoughtful detailing front and centre. Our room, Alfred, featured a private two person balcony overlooking the garden, pool and native forest beyond. The large bathroom with freestanding bath and double shower boasted quality toiletries and the linen dressed king bed made for a delightfully comfortable stay. Some special touches included a biccie bottle of tiny shortbreads. Communication via email was excellent and check-in/out was seamless. A brilliant position with off street parking in Maleny’s Main Street makes walking the town easy and a list of preferred cafes and dining options is useful to even the shortest-stay visitor."
Blue Summit Cottages
"Location, Location and Location. Just loved the tranquillity and view. Everything about this property is perfect. The rooms are very clean, and everything is included."
