Motel 6 Luling, La

"The rooms are beyond aweful!!! I had a smoking room okay cool. But the bed spread was covered with cigarette burns, the suppose to be white sheets had black dirty marks on them. I understand it was a smoking room but there was an excessive amount of cigarette burns on the tub and sink. I took picutres hoping to show the manager on check out. Explained to the young lady my discomfort with the room. She went in the back to call the owner, she asked for my phone number and stated owner will call me on Monday. No phone call I have been charged for the room. My next step as a consumer is to dispute the charges with my credit card. I hope people read this post before booking you stay at this Motel 6, they can turn the lights OFF!"

"Room was as advertised. Well, minus the pool being green and closed. Fitness room had water dispenser but no water available due to faulty equipment. There's a minimum of 2 inch high lip in the concrete at the back entrance which myself and my 10yr old autistic daughter both tripped on falling on the concrete walkway."

Comfort Inn & Suites New Orleans Airport North

"To start with the positives: This is one of the few airport hotels with free shuttle transfers which worked well. The room is large and as per the pics, with comfortable bed. Negatives: The hotel "lost" my booking. They said they tried to call me with no answer because my phone was switched off, but when I suggested this may be because I was flying the receptionist said "No...you had switched your phone off". Quite a strange answer & attitude to a guest. She "rebooked" me and I ended up paying more then my original booking price. I stayed two nights, and throughout my stay, I had ZERO TV connection. I told the receptionist, and she (a different receptionist to check in) didnt seem to care at all !! ("it probably needs rebooting").....but despite being told someone would attend to it, nothing was done. For the money I paid, having no TV is ridiculous. Minor issues.....no handle on the shower tap, nowhere to hang a towel in the bathoom (there had been something on the back of the door, but was missing). Despite being listed on the amenities, there was no fridge. (just a gap where it should have been.) Overall, for the money paid, a very disappointing stay and will definitely look for other options on future visits."

"Normal hotel to spend the night before an early flight, there is a free transfer from the airport. I liked everything."

"The hotel was just renovated. The place was clean and brand new. However, the water took time to warm up but it was hot after that. It was super helpful to have a airport shuttle running 24/7 and the service run every hour. We were satisfied with the service."

Holiday Inn Express & Suites LA PLACE by IHG

"The room was very nice and comfortable. However, they charged me an additional fee even though I pre-paid for the room. This is unacceptable. I paid in full four months in advance. Then when I try to check out they say I owe more money. Will be filing a BBB complaint on this hotel."
