"What a fantastic place this really is if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday. It is the first time we have self catered in Lanzarote but we will certainly be returning to here. Playa Blanca is such a nice place and we enjoyed it even more this time as Palmeras is away from the busier areas. The apartment was better than we thought it was going to be and had a fantastic sea view. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the whole complex is not built up. The pool area is lovely and sunbeds are always available no matter what time you go down to it. The staff are all really friendly including the cleaners. There is a small shop on the site which is open 11-6 for any essential items. This shop is handy as it is the only supermarket in the vicinity which you have to bear in mind when staying here. The arena bar is fantastic and the food served here is very good indeed. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and there are a few restaurants over the road as well as a brilliant cocktail bar if you want to eat or drink out. There is a bus stop behind the complex if you do not fancy the scenic walk into Playa Blanca centre which runs roughly every half an hour. A taxi back from here will only cost up to 4 euro which worked out cheaper for a family of four. We will definitely return to Palmeras Garden as we all loved it. I couldn’t really fault anything and we all had a fabulous time."

The room was grubby , we literally spent as little time in it as possible. It’s not a case of you get what you pay for it was €1088 for 9 days ."

"Its quite firmly a 4* hotel. Everything is fairly good, but wont blow you away. The buffet food is ok; the hotel room is suitable; the pool area isn't too bad (although the largest area of the pool is salt water); the snack bar need to be addressed, as the food quality is pretty bad; the drinks are pretty good and the entertainment is average. You wont have a bad time unless youre a real fusspot, but then you should be booking a 5*, so you actually have something to sink your teeth in to moan about. I'd say that this place is worth no more than £700 - £1000 per adult for a 7 nights all-inclusive stay."

"We booked our stay purely based on adult only and past reviews. Champagne on arrival, concierge brought out bags to our room as we were an early Flight in so we could relax by the pool whilst our room was prepared. A 100m stroll takes you down hill to a local shop for water and other necessities. The room is spacious and has everything you would need with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean. We stayed in 711 and we couldn’t get over the volcano stone designed bathrooms with rain shower. One thing myself and my wife enjoyed is that the staff are always on hand to help but aren’t in your face or annoying you. IThe atmosphere is very relaxed I guess being a boutique hotel with 81 rooms they keep it very chilled and we never had to fight for a sun lounger or space by the pool. Unfortunately I can’t remember all of the staff members that made our stay perfect but to name a few Liliana, Daniella and Leo go above and beyond to make It a 5• luxury stay."

"Just spent 10 days in this faultless hotel. Everything was just perfect . There was a great selection of food which was always hot and tasty. The cold starter selection was my favourite. Staff were all very pleasant and the entertainment guy was fabulous. Sunbeds were never a problem to get. Rooms cleaned everyday and the place is spotless. Yes it is up hill but a taxi only costs around 4 euro but the walk caused us no issues. Ignore all the negatives we had done our research before we went so were aware of the location etc. 5 litres of water can be purchased at reception for €1.50 so saves carrying it back."

"Where do I start this hotel is beautiful! We have been to playa Blanca a few times and we always loved the look at this hotel so knew we had to come. Upon arrival we were offered cava and fruit juices for the kids. We were told all about the hotel and the different things which were on we got given a fabric bag with the towel cards in and our room key which was a nice touch so we could keep everything together. When arriving to our room as it was my birthday they had left a cake and a card. On the bed was a beech bag with flip flops in which may I add our extremely comfy. There was slippers and robes hung up in the wardrobe. The room was immaculate and everyday was cleaned to such a high standard. The water in the fridge was refilled everyday. They come and turn down your room every night and leave a chocolate which is a nice touch. Also the kids beds are turned back into sofas during the day which makes it a lot easier. The pool was really clean and there was plenty of sunbeds. You can take your own drinks by the pool which was good. The buffet breakfast in the mornings was one of the best we have ever had. Proper bacon and sausages and the hashbrowns were amazing! They had cava so we had a few cheeky mimosas in the morning. We went to the restaurant looking out over the pool as it had nice outdoor seating. Our kids used the kids club which was really good. My son did the football academy which was 20€ per day and my daughter went into the normal club and really enjoyed it. We also hired the court to play paddle which was a lot of fun. We didn’t use any of the other restaurants at the hotel as we wanted to go out and playa Blanca have so many lovely places to eat. You are literally close to everything the marina and the town so we didn’t need to get a taxi all week. Highly recommend the biker and the Irish bars just outside the hotel for lunch and they do live music at night which is really good. Would 100% return! Loved our visit!"

"We had an amazing week in Palmeras Gardens, lovely clean complex with very clean and cool (with air con) apartments, the staff are lovely and welcoming, the weather was stunning all week too which was a bonus. We found Popeyes bar a popular British bar where we ate breakfast every morning, it does take about 15-20 minutes to walk it but along the path next to the sea is beautiful and a pleasant walk, we walked it multiple times daily. There is also a regular bus that takes around 6-8 minutes which drops you in the town. We have booked again for April and can’t wait to go back."

"I was warned to pay for a safe on arrival. I was actually told I might be robbed if I didn't. I felt bullied about it and decided not to. Then later on there were young men in an empty apartment below me looking up watching my apartment to see when I was going in and out. Really creepy. So I brought my valuables out with me. I paid for a seaview but when I arrived they wanted to put me around the back with no view. I had a lot of hassle demanding what I had paid for, and I eventually got it out of sheer determination argument and perseverance. Another couple weren't so lucky. They didn't want to argue and got sent around to the back of the apartments with no view having also paid for a seaview. A really horrible unpleasant man on a grotty tatty weird reception desk was the only person to deal with. The pool is the size of a postage stamp. No cafe no bar no facilities at all. I would say you get what you pay for, except you get way less than what you pay for. I would warn anyone off booking this place. The positive reviews are baffling. Its really bad all round."

"Our family of 4 (kids 9&7) really enjoyed are stay last year at Cordial Marina so booked again for two weeks this year..again it was fantastic. No rush for sunbeds, clean and tidy, with sizeable rooms. In a great area close to the marina..by chance we had the exact same room as last time, overlooking the marina out of the back of the hotel, which was perfect. They also have rooms overlooking pool. I would again say 2nd floor is better. My only real criticism this year is there was little effort put in by the entertainment girl to get people doing some activities. We appreciate that the motto of the hotel os quiet and relaxing, however last year they seemed to put a bit more on such as french bowls and darts, which we all enjoyed getting involved in. Lifeguard is a top guy, always keeping an eye on pool and interacting with all the kids. Noise from construction site over the road is hardly noticeable. We will be back, probably next year."
