Hotel Fariones

My wife and I called into the Hotel Fariones for a cold drink on a Sunday afternoon. Having been there before we knew we would have an agreeable time. We were shown to a table for two on the terrace and were served by Armindo who provided excellent service. We had two rounds of drinks ( Cava and a low alcohol beer) and crisps : plain crisps sprinkled with their tasty house “paprika and lime” seasoning together with one latte coffee. Armindo was cheerful and attentive and also gave my wife a generous second serving of cava after the bottle ran dry whilst pouring - “take a sip or two before I recharge your glass from a new bottle”. The hotel reception was decked out in Christmas splendour and another member of staff kindly took a photo of us in front of their tree. If you are visiting Carmen del Puerto then the Fariones is well worth a visit.

Fabulous hotel and amazing location on the beach front . We had 8 days in an ocean suite - just the best hotel , room and view … we wouldn’t change a thing. Lovely service.. by all the staff very good and helpful throughout. We have already booked for next year in the same room.. amazing location lovely hotel and service… would definitely recommend Thanks to all we had a wonderful visit and a superb holiday and will definitely return

A truly excellent hotel. Our room was in excellent condition almost as if new. Spacious, with a comfortable super king bed. The only oddity was the sink being located outside the bathroom, but that just took a little getting use to. Very large hottub on our balcony which was a great treat, even if the cover was a little tricky to put back on. Free breakfast in the room was a great addition for someone who likes peace and quiet as they slowly wake up. Great view from the room. Very quiet too. The grounds are lovely with several different areas for sunbathing and relaxing. The private beach was yet another great feature. Best of all though we're the staff. Polite, cheerful, attentive and ultimately the best managed hotel I've ever stayed at. A busy hotel, yet reception never had any queues. First class in everyday.

This is our 3rd visit to the hotel, and everything is excellent once again. This time we opted for a suite which had gives you the option of breakfast in your room, we were blown away by the quality, a continental breakfast was elevated t9 new heights this morning, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese and meats, cava , we felt like film stars. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is stunning and the service top notch. The Fariones is undoubtedly the best hotel on Lanzarote and we will keep on returning

We have been regular guests at the Hotel Fariones in Puerto del Carmen for the last three years since covid. The hotel is in a fantastic ocean facing location surrounded by lush grounds. In these grounds there are activities such as yoga and Pilates classes on a daily basis. The staff are generally excellent and the hospitality is first class. It’s seems unfair to pick out names but here goes anyway – Manuela, Sylvia and the manageress Harriet are all ones that come to mind. Also Olga the Ukrainian waitress was excellent but sadly she’s moved on to another hotel. The buffet breakfasts are very busy but the service is efficient despite the numbers. The rooms with ocean facing balconies can be hard to leave, but there’s plenty of restaurants and shops in the local neighbourhood as well as the beach and promenade. Our only complaint is that the hotel consistently seems incapable of arranging airport transfers as requested. We are definitely not White Lotus types but do travel with two large cases which don’t fit in the back of a regular saloon car – so we always specifically request something large such as a Mercedes V class for our transfers. But the Hotel Fariones seems incapable of getting transfers right. It has a recurring theme whatever we do over the last few years. On our last stay in April the transfers were messed up both on arrival and departure – the latter was particularly irritating as the previous day our concierge service had been assured by Laura from guest experiences that a minibus had been booked for our transfer to the airport. However, when we checked out we found a small family saloon waiting for us and there was no way it could take our two cases. We lost 40 minutes as a replacement vehicle was arranged – this involved lots of running around from Harriet which should not have been needed. When we eventually reached the airport we were - despite all our best efforts to arrive early - greeted by the back of a very long and slow moving queue. By the time we made it through security the plane was already boarding and there was no time to buy water for the flight. This made for a needlessly stressful end to what had otherwise been a very relaxing holiday with all the long walks and yoga and pilates. So the persistently botched transfers are the sole reason for the reduced star rating. Everything else deserves five stars and we are planning to try our luck again with the hotel’s airport transfers in October. Maybe they should find someone else to organize the transfers.
