At first glance the SV resort looks inviting with a large lobby, central pool and beachfront. The hotel has seen better days and the rooms, although spacious, are as basic as possible. No electrical plugs by the bed, no safe, wifi is non existent (you'll need to spend time in the lobby for Wi-Fi) etc. We were greeted in our room with dirty linen and because of a stench in our room (sewer smell), we asked for another: declined. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush...new room: declined. At some point the batteries in the door card reader lock died so we were locked out. There are very few lounge chairs by the pool and beach so the usual game is played where people lay down their towels and take ownership then chairs sit empty all day. The pool is lovely but never skimmed for debris from trees. We stayed for two weeks and the breakfasts were the same every single day, although you can ask for an omelet. We were staying in the south wing and closest to the train tracks so we heard every train passing.

A Quiet Little Paradise in Hua Hin: Exceptional Stay at iSanook Resort I absolutely loved my stay at iSanook Resort! It truly is a quiet little slice of paradise. Location: The resort is a bit outside the main hustle and bustle of Hua Hin town, which we actually preferred. It offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere while being just a short trip from the action. The location is fantastic because it's very close to one of the main beaches. You’ll also find plenty of convenience stores, laundromats, and even a few restaurants within easy walking distance. Amenities & Facilities: · Pool: The pool is absolutely beautiful—sparkling clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by great furniture for lounging. · Gym: The nice gym had everything I needed for a good workout. · Room: Our room was clean, efficient, and well-designed. We appreciated the balcony with furniture, the refrigerator, and the in-room safe. Everything was in excellent condition. Dining & Food: The excellent breakfast was a daily highlight, offering a wonderful variety of Chinese, Thai, and Western options. The great food continued throughout the day at the café and the poolside bar, which also had fantastic drink specials during happy hour. Service: Customer service was excellent across the board. The staff were attentive, friendly, and the entire hotel property is very well-kept. Verdict: If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic getaway or a relaxing escape from the busier parts of Hua Hin, this is the place. I can't recommend iSanook Resort highly enough and will definitely be returning.

location was alright. walking distance by the beach but never walked there on the account that we had a toddler and was extreme heat and evening was a no go to walk there for sure due to the the roads that leads there. the buggy service to the beach is only till 6pm which is a bummer. 7pm would have been better and more laxed. when we arrived we had lunch at their restaurant after a long drive, food was a nono. ordered their seafood platter and the lobster was small and had a smell. the squid was not to my liking as well and had a smell too. not worth the price, not worth the it overall. just head out to eat. breakfast was alright nothing much to say. pool was alright nothing to rave about their kids play room was absolutely small. they just cramp a small slide in there and had a bunch of toys, didnt manage to take a picture but don't expect much on their kids play room. the main issue we had with the hotel was the absolute lack of care and urgency we had with their aircon issue. my baby took a nap during the afternoon and was sweating so after changing the temperature lower i thought it will take some time to adjust, so i had my portable fan on whilst my baby slept because it's extreme heat now in thailand so naturally i would want the room cool, specially with a child. we left the hotel after my baby woke up to have dinner outside and when we came back the temp was still stuck at 23dgree didnt change at all. so called them to check on the temperature and said it will be fixed, it was late at this point and was my childs sleep time, still the temperature did not change and my child slept with the fan on AGAIN during the night. next morning i told them aircon had a problem and was told they were going to clean the aircon, no apology whatsoever and no offer to change room, head down for breakfast and after which i told them we were heading out so they could clean the aircon now and the staff told me if we were all packed because they were gonna change the room and i was shocked. like seriously, i was told they were going to clean the aircon not change the room and the next im asked if we were packed. like are you serious?!!! we went back to the room and hurriedly packed all our things so we can move to another room, same exact room on a different floor AND SAME D*MN PROBLEM. the aircon!! the aircon had the same problem.. told them the same thing and they checked same stun they pulled and turns out i cant even control the temperature myself, they had to control from their main control room. again let me be clear, IT IS EXTREME HEAT in thailand right now. the reason why we went to hua hin was to relax and enjoy away from the bangkok heat and head down to hua hin and relax by the beach and in the hotel room where it's suppose to be nice and cool but what did we get, stress!!! we had a child along with us so naturally i was way too angry with the whole situation.. hated our stay here and i will never go back even if it's free. with all our troubles no verbal apology. their apology was 2 pcs of small desserts. umm ya okay. the only time the aircon finally got cold was on our very last night. next morning we left.. THANKS FOR THAT! i can't believe we left the comfort of our home, travelled 3 hours only to be stressed out and have my child sleep with a portable fan on

My friend and I had originally planned to stay at a more luxurious hotel but due to high season demand and prices, we were forced to find a cheaper alternative. The Ibis was the obvious choice in terms of price and location - located a stone’s throw from the beach a just a few kilometres down the road from Market Village & Blueport. There is also a nice open air thai restaurant directly opposite the hotel. The service was fantastic from reception, housekeeping and Security/carpark attendants. I stayed here in 2 separate bookings over 11 nights and can’t fault it for the price. Only criticisms would be the old smelly carpet near the lifts and walkways on all floors and both times I had mosquitoes in the room which I had to spray with repellent. It is a dog friendly hotel and I did hear some barking but since I have dogs that didn’t worry me. The room itself is not huge but does have a little balcony and decent bed with some bench’s to sit on or use as storage. Also has storage space underneath the bed to store your suitcase. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and value for money. Mark

Positives: Serviceminded staff always friendly and smiling, delicious breakfast buffeet, a lot of parking spaces. Beautiful pool by the beach. Pool slides for kids. Great restaurants both at the hotel and right next to the hotel. Modern hotel and room design. Soft beds, very clean rooms and facilities. Negatives: This hotel is for families with kids. A lot of kids screaming and playing around the pool areas. Too many rooms compared to the amount of facilities. Queues for sunbeds by the pool, people coming early to reserve sunbeds then coming hours later to use them. Crowded in the breakfast buffeet. Not what we expected as a couple without kids. I wish we checked the hotels reviews before the came here.

Right downstairs, there's a fantastic water park that was incredibly comfortable with hardly any crowds. We never had to queue for any of the slides, which is an experience you just can't get back home. The walk to the beach every evening was perfectly manageable, especially since there was a night market along the way where we could grab lots of food, essentially walking it off. We went with our two little ones, and the rooftop pool was just too cold and windy. After they got in, one of them developed a fever the next day, followed by four or five days of vomiting and diarrhea. It's also possible they picked up something from the downstairs water park. After returning home, a hospital check-up confirmed a viral infection. It really highlights the need to be cautious when young children are playing in the water.

The Kaset is a new hotel located away from the main town of Hua Hin, towards Khao Takiab. It's quite convenient if you have your own car, but if you don't, I wouldn't highly recommend it yet. The welcome drink was delicious. When I checked in, I had to wait for the room until almost 3:30 PM, but I assume this was due to unforeseen circumstances. The room was clean, and the facilities were still quite new. The air conditioning was cold, and the TV had good reception with various channels. The bathroom's wet and dry areas weren't well-separated, as the whole bathroom got wet after showering. There are two large swimming pool zones. The staff were all friendly, smiling, and lovely in every department. The hotel is also pet-friendly! If I have business around Khao Takiab again, I would definitely stay here.

PROS: The location is great: - There is just about 5 minute walk to the beach; - it takes only 5-10 minutes to reach the village market mall; - and there is about 20-25 minutes to come to downtown of Hua Hin The room is good: - Room is quite spacious; - There is everything you need Breakfast is ok, there is nothing special Also, the hotel has some parking lots, so there is no problem to park a car Cons, there are 2 problems: 1. There are quite noisy, because of outside road and cars 2. The wi-fi connection is iften interrupting, so you need mobile internet.

The front desk service was great, and there were many Europeans and Americans staying and swimming.
